HH will definitely suffer from being harder to get into, and from using marinelets... but now that 40k's fluff is increasingly infantile there will still be good reasons to join the Heresy train.

First we need to know what the rules are going to be. Is FW ignoring the 40k FAQ and bringing back multibombing? That absolutely affects my army... I can't really start building until I know if I need ranged anti-tank or if I can count on Outriders/Attack Bikes with melta-bombs.

They have to give us a daemon list because the 7th ed. Daemon codex is out of production. Daemons will presumably be added to the allies table in the FW rulebook, along with Talons of the Emperor.

It’s probably fortunate that the next book will feature two of the most popular legions. I’m personally a White Scars fan, but if the first book after 8th ed. 40k featured them as the only new legion (along with some Tallarn stuff, probably), it wouldn’t generate enough momentum to save 30k.

If the BA/DA book isn’t a big seller, it’ll be a clear sign that FW needs to move to 8th asap. If it does surprisingly well, staying in 7th may start looking like a good idea and maybe they could commit to it by making more changes to it.

It's not actually bad, just suffers from having to charge the same unit it shot at because it doesn't have more than one ranged weapon. The sword's good against heavily armored things, but the gun isn't. You can use it to wipe out squads of marines, of course. It does the job pretty well as long as you don't get tarpitted by 2+ armor save units.

They could have demanded worse than the Codex Astartes. More importantly, the WS later took the Lion's Gate spaceport and slowed the Traitor reinforcement rate while also keeping some of the Traitors occupied.

Here "tomorrow" is defined as a year and "today" is 6 months. Such is FW speed.

Check your Legiones Astartes units outnumber everything else, but Sicarans are usually always useful. It depends on your meta whether to go for dakka dakka or the shockpulse variants.
It sounds like the Xiphon is your main anti-tank, which I guess would be dropped for a Venator. A naked venny is cheaper than a Xiphon, so I guess you could either upgrade it a bit (not hugely necessary) or see if you can add shit to your other squads.
If you don't want to ditch the Xiphon, a naked vanilla Sicaran is cheaper than a Contemptor and carries great dakka that denies jink saves, so I guess I'd replace the Dread. It'd serve the same role as being your distraction carnifex I guess.
If you wanna run 2, you're gonna have to drop a Vet Squad as well. Though I dunno what you're doing with the Seekers in that list, unless they're just a forward postion fireteam or something, do they usually do enough to justify them? Of course if you start dropping infantry you better check you still qualify for PotL

Basically Sicarans can never really go wrong...the Venator is a simple to use, you just point at the enemy Spartan or whatever and keep shooting, the normal is kiiiiind of in a Dreadnought role but you have to use the flexibility to scoot about to pick targets. If you have enemies you need to get in their face and fuck them up as well as have a fire magnet, it might be worth not bothering and finding the points for a Leviathan either slogging or dropping off your Seekers or something. I've never used Leviathans so that could be bullshit idea, sorry.

Our group decided to give HH a try, so I want to go with Thousand Sons.
Our first choices are one of the boxes form GW (either Calth or Prospero) and now question: which one would suit me up better?
In prospero i got dedicated HQ, Mk3 tacticals + tataros termies which are great but all 1kSons upgrades seem to be dedicated for cata termies and mk4.
What should I do? Go for looks and take prospero?

Red-painted Scarab Occult work fine as Sekhmet.
If you do go Prospero you can make them a bit more 30K by mixing bits; the parts fit together perfectly because, well, they're the same parts with different detailing.

If you're austistic about upgrades then yes, the Achaen set is for mark 4, though it can go on any model. There are TS shoulders for marks 2 and 3 as well, and also a whole other set of upgrade heads meant to go on any mark. So if you're prepared to buy resin on top of your box for upgrades, you can get either one really.

The FW Cataphracti are a full kit, they don't let you buy the upgrades separately? So if you want 'official' Cat Sekhmet the Cats in Calth will be extras.
Calth is overall more use to someone starting out,, even though everything I just said kind of implies get Prospero. You can use everything in the box, whereas Prospero the Custodes are useless and the Sisters are only good for cutting up to use their loincloths and cloaks.

Only potential problem is that it came with combat blades instead of chainswords, which might be a negative in 8th edition (hard to predict what FW will do though). BoP Ahriman is very cheap on eBay anyway.

I don't think people would mind 40k Scarab Occult Terminators. For Sekhmets it's actually the friendlier option if you take the cult that improves your invulnerable save, but also more effective because they're more of an assault option than shooty.

Bikes are good units for assault-oriented characters because of their relative durability, but not points-efficient unless they can also blow up vehicles with meltabombs.

Jetbikes should not have meltabombs. They need to stay away from the enemy and shoot from afar because they can't do much in close combat.
