Bring big bugs, thats literally it. They're fucking scary now, it's good fun! Couple of flyrants to shelter carnifexes and tyrannofexes with synapse whilst they murder shit you need to, and some trygons to come up behind enemy lines and draw fire off your inbound carni's.

Haven't been following too much, but would like to know how's CSM looking and what's been buffed or nerfed for them.

My list has changed for the better since my frist draft. But I can't decide if I want two Twin Linked Autocannon dreads or just one and then something else.

NEW RENEGADE ARMY SUCKS

We lost all our tools, and gained nothing.

The hyped plague ogryns insta-die on a roll of 1 with their drugs. They have same toughness, same wounds, but gain a 6+ invul save. LOL. They're also more expensive that regular ogryns.

We had more auras in fucking 7th.

Our important characters don't have the CHARACTER RULE so will be shit on by lascannons T1.

Lost the crazy access to cool wargear,
lost all the cool special rules from alt-FoC
, lost the cheap vehicles (we pay same as IG),
our infantry is 1/3th as effective as vanilla conscripts,
lost our veterans,
we lost chemical flamers,
we lost access to mass heavy weapons,
we lost access to mass special weapons in our infantry lists (it used to be flat 2 special weapons PLUS another one per 4-5 models, now it's ONE per FUCKING 10)
The new chaos covenant rules are shitty
We lost the ability to make faux scions
We lost our FUCKING RENEGADE BANEBLADE AURA IN THE FUCKING AURA-EDITION
We lost sniper rifles in the sniper rifle edition
We lost outflanking hordes (mutant rabble useless now)

All our rules are still written in the early 7th mindset, all the drugs are outdated, our expensive boogeyman "moral killers" add 1 to the enemy battle shock test (LOL), unit special rules are watered down and turned into +6 invuls (not FNP) or "re-rolls 1 in this very specific scenario where you're dead already"

no access to special (outdated) FW tanks,

Our "mortal wound" options are worse than generic army variants, even if the ruling is exactly the same. Instead of 1d6 mortal wounds we deal "1", always.

Here's a hard truth of 40k: If the Army hasn't existed since Rogue Trader in some way, shape, or form, then it is a passing fad that GW will shit on UNLESS it sells a shitload of models (Tau and Necrons).
