I wasn't surprised I was shut down in character (lawful and good party), but the fact that I creeped out a group of eight adults with something so minor stuck with me.

My male, half-orc inquisitor-esque character grabbed an informant by the balls because he was clearly hiding something and wouldn't fess up. Some players looked at me like this wasn't a common media trope, 'though I initially brushed such glances aside. Well, until one player asked me if my character was gay and I just painfully rolled my eyes and told him he was a child.

It doesn't really surprise me, although I wouldn't know why it's a behavior. If you tell me you chop someone's head off, it's kind of gory, but that's about it. If you tell me how you break his fingers, rip off his nails and use it to stab his eyes, those things all sound incredibly painful. I would guess it's an empathy thing, except I register really poorly on empathy in general, yet torture porn makes me incredibly uneasy.

Sometimes I think about minor things like cutting off fingers, and one of the ways I use to mentally drift off topic is by exaggerating the scenario greatly, because being finely chopped by a tornado of razor blades doesn't bother me as much.

Realistically, I feel like we're all adults and it wouldn't be too much of a problem, but my own inhibitions keep me from flirting with PCs. So in my roleplaying, I end up having the character treating the PCs different from NPCs, without really an in-character reason as to why.

It's not the biggest problem in the wold, but it does feel like I'm holding back my roleplaying.

Of all of the things I've played. A pixie, a zombie loli, a Ukrainian maid, a trap; playing a succubus, or any form of the more carnal demons, always weirded me out. Roleplaying a character whose shtick is seduction always came across as awkward in both theory and in practice. I wouldn't disallow it if I were hosting, Lord knows I've been given a generous share of leniency in the past with character creation, but I'd be on guard for any potential derailment. I still won't entertain the idea of playing, or allowing a player I'm hosting for to play, anything Monmusu related though, my experience with them is that they derail everything.

Posed as a man to join the army.

A lot of the support staff for the army are women, like doctors and chefs and musicians and clothiers etc.

One of them took a liking to me and we went on a cute date during down time. Hit it off and now regularly spend time together.

I didn't tell her my identity, and I made about 50 disguise and bluff checks over the course of our relationship.

I don't know what I'm going to do when she wants to, you know, when she finds out just by looking/feeling that I'm a woman.

I feel bad because I'm lying but I make her happy since life sucks out here near the frontlines of a war. We're both a distraction for each other and everything we've done so far has been very wholesome and positive.

My hope is the she doesn't care and the good times we've had are more important than my gender, but that's often wishful thinking and it's a real possibility she feels betrayed and I break her heart which would just kill me in character and irl.

Deceiving someone in this way is inappropriate but my intentions aren't evil but it still fits the thread I guess. It's extra bad because I am gay, so attracted to her, but she's originally here because she's straight and thinks I'm a man. My character and my irl self are both trying to figure out the best way to break it to her, since I'm doing her a disservice.

Yeah. Here's the story of my slide downhill.

Play an effeminate aasimar witch (described as Bayonetta with a Y chromosome). Mostly done because I wanted to take the prehensile hair hex and have fabulous hair to fight with.

Meet the first prisoner here, a giant gold dragon. Some part of my brain just clicks that my character needs to hit on the shiniest, prettiest being he's ever met. So he hits on the dragon.

This all started just by wanting to be kinda pretty and cast spells on stuff. Just bit by bit it made sense for the character to continually try new things til I realized that he was kinda a slut.
