Whilst the hit resolution system is fast and intuitive, the playbook allows for a huge variety of outcomes to each dice roll. You decide the in-game effect you need to deliver success…if you get enough hits of course!
> KICKING/PASSING…
We’ve designed Guild Ball to encourage kicking and passing the ball. The game actively rewards you for doing so, which results in a fast paced dynamic game flow. Like all our game mechanics, kicking the ball is fast and simple to do.
> INFLUENCE SYSTEM…
Guild uses a resource management called Influence to control actions and movement each turn. This leads to an intense bluffing and counter-bluffing meta-game as well as a need for deep risk management and turn planning.
> MOMENTUM SYSTEM…
Guild Ball features a unique system that reflects the ebb and flow of a football match. As players perform and achieve in-game actions they generate Momentum which can in turn be spent on triggering special ‘plays’, shooting at goal or out of turn reaction moves. Any momentum left over at the end of the turn translates into a massive advantage on determining initiative the following turn.

Guild Ball models are carefully designed to play off and feed into each other. Clever players will discover a huge depth of strategy available to them, which will be reinvigorated each and every time a new model is added to the Guild’s roster of choices.

Also kinda likes the looks of the hunters guild.
But there are only a small handfull of people around me that play. more people play blood bowl by me then guild ball.
from my understanding brewers are a more simple team that rely on hitting and their own staying power to counter being more easily outplayed by other teams.
what about the hunters playstyle?
how is the game balance?

Hunters are about applying the snare condition and delaying their loss long enough to win. They just got a decent buff from actually having some extra choices/ability to play ball. Theron is more stab man than archer.
Balance is pretty ok, there are pretty clear divides between the top half/bottom half but its possible to do ok with most options.

This game is tottal and utter shit - made by guys that have type 2D and drink beer and fuck their sisters.
The whole system is a unbalanced mess of random rules (just look at torurnament results) in 2 season morts vs morts in 3 season it all Alchemist and Fish
Dont bother with this shit - they even cannot send you things you buy from them and their online store is fameus for not delivering
All in all - one of the shitiest game of all time - stay clear of it !

Since the start of 2017 fish and alchemists have won. All of 14% of tournments. Yes there is some unbalance (brewers and hunters especially hurting) but its no where near the dumpster fire your suggesting.

If anything it's gaining traction. It's not Blood Bowl so it doesn't have an existing property to help piggyback it into popularity, but most communities are growing and I've got a decent scene starting up in my area

Hunters and Brewers are easily low men on the totem pole. Hoping Lucky brings some new tricks to my Brewers whenever he drops. Pintpot has been pretty fucking fun to let loose
