Orks fighting creates more Orks, who fight creating more Orks.

In the Warp there is only Khorne, who is powerful as fuck due to all the fighting, so his demons are everywhere fighting Orks, creating more Orks and more demons in the process.

Orks and Khorne are are happy. Everybody else is dead.

Depending on your definition of "dominant", I was under the impression that Orks were always the dominant race.
If nothing else, they're guaranteed to outlive humans the same way cockroaches are.

The Octarius Empire spanned only a fraction of the galaxy and was still orders of magnitude bigger and more powerful than anything we have as of M42.001
Current orks are a shadow of their former selves, although maybe if Ghazzy ever retakes Octarius we'd start seeing a proper ork empire again.A number of the Primorks are still unaccaounted for, they could well be hiding out under the surface of Armageddon, which explains why Khorne also likes it so much. They'd make great demon princes.
