Vegas has its own unique charm pretty much regardless of the era because that "mystique" is still there. It's glityz and bright, but there's always seedy shit going on behind the lights. Now mix that with the glam of the 80s. More neon. More clubs. Drugs. Guns. I'd play the shit out of that setting.

Although, if you set it modern day, you could still have some anachronistic elements. Like Howard Hughes. They just became a vampire then and never adapted to later eras.

Always.

Considering they're all vampires, you could technically do several of them if you want since they won't age. Might even be neat to see how the characters react to each era and watch them long for people and places long gone.

Put it in the 60s/70s. Then watch Casino.

Screw gothic punk. It's an attitude, not a subculture, at least for VtM purposes. If it's that important to you, put it in the mid 70s and you have very early punk, new wave, and goth.

Vegas was fun in the 90s, but very different. Post 9/11, things changed a lot and goth was dead by then anyway.
