Posting this here, too, in case the author happens upon this thread.

Note: The original was over 10k pixels tall (and around 18 MB), and I couldn't be arsed to splice it into multiple pictures, so I resized it. Should still be readable, but no guarantees.

Can someone explain what is up with Wilhelmina? I mean, what kind of name is that? Is it French or something? Either way, obv we'd take her. Just to be clear, you give:

>Teenage MILF
>Redhead
>Archer
>Retired Mega-Hero
>Kind, strong af and nice overall person
>CENTAUR WAIFU

And expect us to take
>skeleton rape
>squid thing
>yandere bitch

No, that would be Wilhelm. Wilhelmina is the female version.
>>
>>53379504
Toss up between Floop and Deeja. Floop is great because you get to adventure around a post-apocalyptic fallout-style world with a perverted douche mentor who kicks ass.

Deeja is another fun choice because you get to adventure around with a master of magic edgy af litch looking for his phylactery.
>>
>>53379733
>Wilhelmina is the female version.

Looked a little into it. It's made of the words willio (will) helm (helmet) and minna is the maid. So it would be the maid of a guy named Wilhelm, probably. And became a name, somehow.
>>
>>53379779
The name actually fits in with the story. Some chick literally named after the guy she's given to. I swear to god, if quiet planned that out he's more autistic than this board combined.

Well ... I haven't read Rise, so I didn't know I just hit the nail. But that's the kind of detail I came to love in Quiet's works: Stuff no normal person would know or ask about, yet relevant.

Read it, it's not bad. Still it's not as good as QuietCYOA, nothing he's done since was. I was following the Urban Fantasy one before he died and it wasn't something I'd compare to quiet.

Reminder: Horse vaginas have all the nerves at the entrance, can squeeze tight enough for you to get friction, and they have hair trigger orgasms. So do the guys, so you being able to go a few minutes instead of a few seconds means you're not only better than a male centaur, you can give her multiple orgasms to every one of yours.

>Genuinely enjoyed making them. Still have 73 KB of 10+ text wips in various half-finished states, not counting 10 or so more 1kb "wips" which are just small notes
>Been losing more and more motivation as the general gets shittier and shittier
>Noticed that there are 2-3 dedicated shitposters that constantly try to start shit, and always, without fail, respond to all significantly good new OC with pure negativity just to stir things up
>High author turnover rate, most promising new authors just get shitposted into oblivion by the dedicated troll, older authors starting to fall off one by one as they reach the same destination as me
>Completely lost all drive to make CYOAs anymore, even knowing that many of the inevitible complaints aren't genuine. Nothing kills interest in making OC like the community worsening, not even the dedicated harassment

Well, congratulations, I guess. You win. You know who you are. You've done nothing but shit in your bed, and now it's piling up. The worst part is that I can tell that you legitimately enjoy this place, as well. If it was out of a genuine hatred then I could almost understand it, but I guess you're just an irredeemable retard. Is this a new copypasta?

In all seriousness, I actually suspect that some of these shitposters, particularly the ones who target authors with personal insults (outside of me; everyone insults me), are other authors. Some of the people who gave DSA shit had no motivation outside of jealousy, that he was getting recognition. Maybe some lurkers got annoyed that people kept praising him, but there's still no motivation otherwise.

It's also been revealed that some authors just show ill-regard for others, here. I know one who came out as a shitposter to me a few weeks back, but I won't mention their name. It's kind of saddening.

Don't get me wrong, a lot of the shitposters here (probably the majority) are regular autists who don't make OC, but it's still a sad concept that the above statement is probably true.
>>
>>53381340
Not the author but:

1. Vitality does more than extend your life span man. If it takes an Atomic Bomb to kill me if I take that shit, I AM TAKING THAT SHIT. Also, Stamina boost.

2. Lizette.

3. Pretty sure, yeah

1. Yes. The Elixirs are meant to be weakened versions of your abilities that will be unlocked once you take the Throne. Vitality is something I need to rewrite because of how the lifespan thing doesn't really help in your current situation.
2. Personally, I always like to choose whatever option makes me hotter and it's passive ability to make you more desirable and persuasive can be useful if you use it correctly.
3. Of course. The three Elixir limit doesn't prevent you from picking all three from the same category.
I simply organized them by
>Body
>Mind
>Soul

Guardian is sort of left vague intentionally because it's supposed to imply that your you guardian can take almost any form based on your personality.
After I've done the lore page and the mystery boxes, I'm contemplating making a CYOA based around the idea of Guardians because I love Persona and JoJo.
>>
>>53381417

See, that is actually one of the problems I am having.
I'm extremely conflicted between Talisa, Vignette, the Gemini twins, Lucianna, Suri, Scarlatina, and Persephone.
Leaning towards Vignette, because we'd get along, but Lucianna honestly is very tempting, though as a Taurus, we'd conflict (and I am a stereotypical headstrong Taurus when off-duty).

May I question, how is the political structure of the Zodiac Kingdom?
And more, how big is your political power as a king?
Is there laws that even the king have to obey?
One anon in another thread mentioned the topic of rape. Myself, I think it's nor only morally wrong and all, but doesn't seem much exciting for me (perhaps because of my passive nature in this matters). You've said this same story before.
Well, I know it's not me. I generally try to encourage other authors, even if I don't particularly like or agree with their design.

Honestly, I like it when my cyoas brew up some kind of shitstorm of negativity. It shows they care about your work in some twisted way because they wish to see it conform to their desires rather than ignoring it. It is also great for discussions and conflict between interests. Some shitposting is based on grudges to a persona, which is just petty but what else can you expect from an unfiltered anonymous website.
>>
>>53381672
Then did you make the emerald shard one?
>>
>>53381525
It's not really about butthurt, but if the author starts to feel that they and/or the CYOAs they make cause nothing but shitstorms of negativity in the thread and few actual builds or discussion that's likely quite discouraging.

The idea is that by picking a Bride, you give yourself a partner for the War.
To watch your back and give you an edge since you've only got access to a fraction of your abilities and all of the Brides are going to be fully at their peak abilities, which you'll have a pretty hard time against if you're not smart about the whole thing and don't have a partner.
Plus it gives the opportunity to actually chose who you want to marry instead of simply being forced to marry whichever girl wins.

The Kingdom of Zodiac is an absolute monarchy.
The nation actually worships the Throne and those who sit upon it because it's made of an ancient sacred tree called the Great Iron Oak.
As King, your word is law and you're almost worshiped as a god to a certain degree.
I realize my moral fag is showing, but I honestly gagged a little at that idea.
All the same, you are the King, so you could hypothetically go around raping whomever or whatever you want.
You'd probably not be remembered fondling if you did, though.
And Sebastian would look at you with a disappointed and melancholy expression because of your actions.

That is exactly what I intend for the 6th page.
I really also want to make a map of Zodiac, but I can't draw for shit and most of the programs and sites I've found are obnoxious at best and incomprehensible at worst.
That page is also where Sebastian would introduce the mystery boxes.
Of which I plan on making three.
One for a way to get more elixirs, one for the 13th secret waifu, and one where you say fuck it and marry Sebastian instead.

Fair enough.
The entire thing kind of assumes you'd win by teaming up with your future wife, but I can definitely see how it would be pretty fucking awkward to chose one girl only for the both of you to lose and you being forced to marry someone else.

They go for any opening any author presents them and pick away at it in the hopes that someone else will carry the torch for them. NTR is a touchy subject, so if they knew both DSA would respond, and others would respond to DSA's response. They probably don't even care all that much about NTR, they just knew other people would.

No fun.

I don't know if I'll be able to deliver today; I've got 4 more students minus two I decided to cut and may add in the future to write and god damn I'm slow. I listened to a two hour Jordan Peterson podcast to figure out how I wanted to write this girl's 100-word dialogue description, and then sat here for another hour trying to actually write it. And I haven't even gone through with editing yet.

And I still have to figure out options for "field trip" options.

I'll probably have them done soon but I'll probably not release it till tomorrow.
>>
>>53382016
I'm sure they didn't actually care about NTR. I do think it was either jealously or general resentment of too much positivity being heaped on one person, considering the timing of it.

>>53382012
Oh sure, I'm not saying the original complaint about here is inaccurate, I'm just questioning SDA's logic. I've had the same thought before but it seems more likely it's just because this place has run its course than anything else.

>>53381733
My elixir choice will be the same from the start, then: M-06; S-09;S-12.
I will try to marry Lucianna, Vignette, Scarlatina and Cassandra. I will initially choose Luciana because I do not live in a very populated area, but Lucianna should still be very strong late-game, making her a target in early game. So I will choose her because I think she is the one that have highest chance of falling early. Then I will probably try to locate Cassandra and go to her as fast as possible with magic and with domination convince her to be a second wife. With Cassandra on the team most immediate threats shouldn't be so much trouble. Still, I would try to recruit Scarlatina and Vignette fast because I worry some other bribe may kill them before I get to them. I think I could convince many of the other brides to just give up (like Abirathi because I don't want to travel). The ones left shouldn't be much trouble to simply defeat. Worst case scenario I will just have to retreat until Lucianna becomes powerful enough.

Initially, I would let most of the ruling to Cassandra and Lucianna. Scarlatina would be picked mostly so that I have someone to focus my negative tendencies and fetishes, so that I don't let it create trouble elsewhere. Maybe I would use king-version domination on Scarlatina for her to be more cruel and smug (like the breast thing with Talita).
A dark part of me would be tempted to see what would happen in a threesome with Scarlatina and Vignette... or even just let Scarlatina with Vignette, but I think I can avoid it.

Anyway, I'd go with Starlight Chasis and Deeja. The Abyssbook might have helpful information regarding where the phylactery could be.

If the author sees this, Starlight Chasis is kind of boring if it just gives three free spells, even if they're godtier. Unless they're unique or something.

Looks good! Two minor nitpicks.

1)Science is quite often concerned with abstract concepts, especially in notoriously theory-heavy fields like mana-wave physics. (If you're not comfortable with tensors, Hamiltonians, and Dietsch-Lieberman invocations, don't bother trying to do it.) So it doesn't make sense for her to hate abstract concepts. This is particularly true, I'd wager, for someone who complains that a curriculum "lose[s] sight of the superordinate principles," i.e., that it is assembled without regard to any higher ordering of concepts; that's very much a theorist's complaint. She probably hates ill-defined concepts instead, especially the kind where everyone rolls their eyes or starts whining when you try to pin them down.

2) You can gorge yourself on something, and you can become engorged with something (though I'd rather you didn't), but you can't engorge yourself in something. "Immerse," though conventional— annoying, I know— is really the better word here.

So the question is, who do I choose? Well... pic related.

So fuck it. Fuck it! Let's do it. Let's go crazy. I'm gonna win them all. I'm gonna make them all love me, and with my superhuman stamina I will Satisfy All Thirteen In Bed. And in life. It'll take time and effort. It'll take... a whole third post. Possibly fourth. Oh, well.

We start with who I choose at first. And the answer? None. I pick none to come with me at first, giving an answer that I will not choose until after I have met every girl. A letter is not enough, I will make clear. I need to meet you all, safely, unmolested, for a two hour date.

So I'm assuming all the Mental powers improve your magical abilities in their own way? What's the rough difference between someone with none and with either?
>>
>>53382607
Ha ha ha ha ha. Yeah, so, that plan blows up immediately. Like half the girls immediately disregard and go straight for me in order to make me theirs.

So it's time to fight. In my town, Lucianna heads towards the nearby airforce base, Talisa gathers animals, Selphy prepares her robot army, Vignette hides in Manito Park, but Scarlatina, Lizette, Suri, and Angelica launch a frontal attack that sparks the first major battle of the war, right in front of my house.

The entire neighborhood is wasted, and I am forced to flee. My foolish attempt to broker peace at the start failed because many girls will simply not bother, they are certain I am theirs. Time to find a girl and admit my mistake.

Quickly I run into Catherine in a safe location, away from the others. I explain to her that I dont want any of the girls to die, and that I have a plan. I talk to her for a long while, and ask her to contact the more peaceable girls. In exchange, I promise that no matter what, I will give her all the children she wants, and all the snuggles too. What, she asks, I picked her? Well... that's the thing, I explain lightly. I can't pick her alone. But this entire thing is mad anyway. I have a better plan. A plan that will change how this works forever. I will make her mine, but I will also have to make the others mine. That doesn't mean she won't get a lot of attention. But as long as she can handle that, she will get what she wishes most.

She agrees, and leaves to parlay with Talisa, Vignette, and I leave to meet with Gwen and Gracia. I challenge them to a game, and battle them with my new Skill at the game, and explain as I beat them what I want: An interesting, exciting life. They would be queens... but so would the others. Yes, that's not what you want, but what I promise is that it'll always be fun... and they won't have to wait their turn. Unsure, I make a wager. If I can beat them in the end, they will do it.

I manage it with the skill I chose at the start.

A real flower vs a plastic one. The real one, you may have to see bloom, and then wither. With the plastic one, it's beautiful and it will never die, but it never lives either. There is no soft touch of petals, no unique scent. And with the organic one, if you treat it right and water it and give it love, it may never wither at all. But even if it does, surely you'd rather have a short lived real flower than a perpetual fraud?

Actually, by abstract concepts, I meant something along the lines of ill-defined concepts. Things that aren't easily understood by logic, or at least when things are cited as being understood when there isn't a logical, practical thesis behind it.

I don't know how I feel about immerse, that's a bit too fluffy of a word. I'll have to find a better alternative.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate nitpicks like these, especially when they're by someone who knows what they're talking about.

I'm bored enough to rank the waifus most to least preferred. Top is #1, bottom is last place.

>Scarlatina
Scorpio is my favorite sign type. I like intense possessive yandere and her picture is 10/10 perfect. All the sex is nice bonus.
>Sephy
A close second. Brilliant, sweet, caring, adorable. A little flighty maybe but it makes her even cuter. And she has a giant gun. What's not to love?
>Suri
Stalking is adorable, and I just really like her personality, I think we'll have a lot of fun. Useful skill too. I don't mind indulging her uh.. fantasies either.
>Lizette
Her obsession with "beauty" and seems a little less than sane and I find that hot.
>Lucianna
Strong, noble, capable an completely devoted. She has a lot of charisma, I quite like her.
>Gwen and Gracy
Threesomes with them sound great, and they're playful personalities are very cute.
>Vignette
Man I do love Vignette, she's a real sweetheart. She needs to be protected no matter who wins.
>Abirathi
I feel bad for putting her so low, I think she'd be a lot of fun to go adventuring with.
>Talisa
Very likeable but farm-ish girls aren't my type.
>Catherine
She's sweet but I don't know, not feeling her. Don't really care too much for children either.
>Angelica
She's a little too smug and warrior-like for my tastes.
>Cassandra
Too much of a buzzkill for me, and I dont like femdom much either.

Sebastian is the real waifu though.

The CYOA says the library can take any female form.
It's not specifically stated to be incorporeal.
She has access to all magical tomes ever written down.
And it's not really a library, but a spirit of a young woman bound to the library.

(cont.)
So, winning the Gemini sisters over with a game and a bet is good, and Cassandra tries, but it's a start. The next battle is soon thereafter. Sephy, with her army, needs to be dealt with and put on-side in order to stop Lucianna, and so I fight her along with the Gemini sisters. If I manage to win, the plan is to explain my plan, that I want her to be a part of this group, to stop all the fighting and end this fight-to-the-death thing. Electrical lightning attacks probably help short out some of her machines, which would help... and once she's stunned, I let her know. I WILL choose her. But I must take all the girls as wives, in order to stop this madness. However... I swear I will give her a wonderful time, let her connect with the tech of my world too, call her Sephy... and give her more time than she'd expect. Luckily, this also means the parts of being Queen she's not best at don't need to be done by her. She can focus on her machines!

If that works, that's good. Because the battles of the other girls continue. But I get a message from one of Cassandra's spirits. Talisa is refusing outright! She doesn't wanna be part of a harem. Well... I have to go myself, with my new army in tow, and talk to her. Battling her animals and avoiding harming them as much as possible with the robot army, I get close to Talisa and... kiss her. I explain the truth: That I can't refuse these girls, but I have a plan. A plan to give them everything they want. Magic, which I'm sure is possible and by now surely confirmed, allowing me to split into clones for part of the day... and that if she is willing to have me, blah blah, heartfelt words, she'd probably melt. Unhappy, but agree to pull back.

By now, Suri knows what I'm doing and planning. And she comes to me herself. She understand what I'm doing, and has watched me speak to Talisa. She's jealous, but I let her know that what I said for them is true for her as well. And I start asking about her real form, though she refuses and just shows me her cute elf body. I do kiss her at one point to get her on side.

I go back to Vignette and attempt once more. I let myself get captured, and spend over a day with her. Eventually, as we bond over picture books and me putting cute daisy-chains on her head, I explain what my plan is, and what I intend for her, and that I will make her the happiest wife, and be the best husband she could ask for. Though doubting, I eventually break her down, and leave with her.

In time to see chaos, as my side is being beaten back and Lucianna and Lizette and others continue to fight. Honestly, I'm not sure how it goes from here, but I continue with the goal of getting close to each girl, spend as much time with her as I can, and ultimately make clear that, hey, this plan is gonna happen, you want in or out?

Lucianna is the final boss, surely. But with Cassandra and Suri and Sephy on the front lines, I can get to her, and dom her into submission too.

And thus comes married life with all twelve waifus. I really, REALLY hope there's a spell that allows you to make shadow-clones.

ZBG? There is, right? I wasn't just bullshitting these girls...?

I know, I know.

The thing is, the marine invertebrate fossil record is very good, in terms of proportional representation of stuff that lived on Earth. The vertebrate fossil record isn't, although vertebrate fossils can convey a lot more information than shells can. So if you want to put together a picture of what life on Earth, generally, was doing in a given slice of time, oftentimes you'll be relying on the marine invertebrate record. It's not as flashy, but it's more likely to yield insights into general principles of evolution.

>What is the most horrifying undersea creature of the pre-historic world, in your estimation?
It depends on what you're horrified by— some people would probably be more frightened by Pterygotus than anything else— but I'd have to go with Megalodon. It's the boring answer, I know, but if there's a sea creature I don't want to meet, it's that one.

>>53382615
That's fair, but it's a CYOA, so I don't want to tell the reader what their motivations are. Right now, the plan is to link activities to locations and ways of getting between locations, together with a map. (From A, you can go to B, C, or D; you get there by stowing away on a boat, hiring a guide to cross a dangerous mountain pass, or rafting down a river (or maybe a paddle-wheel steamer instead?); there's four or five different things to do at each destination, and then you go somewhere else. I'm trying to think of a better way to do this, but I haven't got anything solid yet.)

>>53382820
I thought so. In my experience, though, "abstract" is used to denote logical concepts in the sciences (e.g. "abstract math") as often— or more often, maybe, now that I think about it—as it's used to describe conventionally fuzzy concepts like "justice."

In computers it has to do level of complexity. Highly abstracted things are where the actualities of things are ignored, such as how numbers are stored. While something like a low abstracted language would mean people would have to actually tell the computer where to store numbers and shit.

I'm only adding a bit of dialogue to Narrator A, Narrator B is essentially done (for now, I have a feeling I won't be able to stop myself from adding expanded content) and Narrator C is completely up in the air right now so the dialogue can be altered as much as necessary. That's kind of my point - Achilles was a legendary warrior and all that. In the eyes of the audience, he's allowed to feel however he wants, because he's earned that right by being badass and accomplished. He's one of the "hero" characters. The audience would be less likely to be on his side if he was just some guy who had never won any glory in war.

In fact, I'm kind of glad you brought up *why* he cried. It made me think of a good way to explain things more, because issues surrounding sex are a great example of what I meant. Losing a girl you won over by manly conquest is, in that context, an acceptable reason to be upset. What if Achilles was just some farmer who was upset that he couldn't get a girl in the first place, or if he *could* get one, but had erection problems? Christ, can you imagine an audience's reaction to a man crying because his dick didn't work? Those aren't "acceptable" problems, especially not if he hasn't "proven himself" first. That's part of what I meant by wondering if you're a designated "loser" character.

>>53348389
I appreciate that.

>>53351850

As I've answered a lot of questions a lot of questions like this, it would depend almost entirely on the Bride. I think it's fair that a few of them would be a little bit bitter that you didn't initially pick them, but they'd probably just be happy to have you.
Might be a little awkward for a while, but they'd most likely still be willing to give the marriage their all.
>>53383347
...By running and hoping none of them can find you?
>>53383361
I think there's a fairly sizable chance things would work out that way.
Talisa would probably pouty about it, but she'd probably grow to accept it over time.
Vignette would be really scared of not being able to compare to the other girls. She'd most likely spend the first couple months hiding behind you and blushing and covering her eyes whenever you made out with one of the other girls.
As for threesomes, like I mentioned before Scarlatina would be really excited to try and corrupt Vignette until she was just as sex obsessed as her.
Angelica typically prefers to be the sub in bondage scenarios, but I'm sure she'd be willing to experiment and try binding you and enjoying your helplessness as she breeds you. Suri and Scarlatina are your best bet for tying her up. The twins would probably think it'd be fun to try too.
I'll leave how an orgy would play out to your imagination, Anon. I've about exhausted my loud hypothesizing.

Elixers: Strength, Vitality, Magic
Bride: None

Damn. What a fucking shitty situation. I'm honestly in a terrible area for this to all go down. Right off a main road in a small town but between two of fair sizes. Also one of those military bases that don't exist. Then there's all of my immediate family here as well.

Thought about it and figured out what to do. I'm gonna kill everything that isn't from Zodiac. Wait just long enough for my powers to kick in and then tell Sebastian I'm not having any of this shit. Crack a big ol' hole in the ground then scorch earth. Can't use things against me if there isn't anything to use against me. Just kinda lay there waiting since everyone would then no doubt know where I am.

I'd like to just talk things over. I really don't want to marry anyone and I will not be strong-armed into anything. If that keeps me in the position of Prince for awhile longer until I have things figured out then so be it. Hopefully the mass slaughter of those around me will cool heads long enough for things to be settled. Otherwise I just have to crack heads literally and not. How fucked.

And while I'm thinking about it Suri and Persephone come off as extremely insincere to me since they know what I'm into. Persephone more so than Suri because Suri has only been watching me for a couple of weeks and I don't recall looking up hard gore or rape in that time but other 4chan tier things are go! Awe Jesus Christ. I don't even want to be King but If I abdicate completely someone else might come into power and see me as a threat to be dealt with. Just have to roll with punches or go mad. Oh my.

Upon your coronation and wedding, your wife will attain perfect immortality just like you.

Elixirs: Vitality, Perception, Analysis
More of a detective suite, vitality for life. I dislike flat out raw power options for self-buffs. If I want that power I should've earned it. (Irony)

Bride: Angelica
Runners Up: Persephone and Catherine

Out of the Brides, Angelica is stubborn, direct, and quite sweet. I dig Persephone's personality and specialty, and Catherine is pretty heavy on the fetish bait.

Battle Strategy:

Angelica is a berserker who thinks fighting dragons would make an excellent honeymoon, she won't be lacking for strength, and any situations where I'm liable to be taken by another bride or otherwise injured would enrage her. Endurance, perception, and a HUD make me ideal for tracking and ambushing the other brides. I'd procure a battery of nonlethal equipment. Pepperspray, mace, police-grade handcuffs, fuzzy handcuffs, and possibly tear gas. My environment is temperate and urban for what it's worth.

As for the competition from weaker to stronger:

11. Virgo: She's a healer/druid. I can probably parley with her. I'd attempt to broker a deal where she surrenders and provides healing to some of the competition. Just in case.

10. Scorpio: Getting poisoned would screw things up to be sure, but she's definitely not suited for direct combat. Also, I have pepper spray.

9. Cancer: Also weak in a direct fight. Tracking elixirs mean her spirits will not be much of a threat if I subdue her before they get out of hand.

8. Sagittarius: A stalker doesn't stand much of a chance against detection elixirs either.

7. Taurus: Animal Tamer vs Dragon Slayer Berserker?

6. Pisces: Mechanist vs Dragon Slayer Berserker?

5. Libra: Wind Mage, might be somewhat threatening. Getting the jump on her might help, waiting until she's asleep is always on option.

4. Gemini: Ditto here, might be easier to track if there are two of them.

If I remember correctly when asked about why you, and not your father, would be the new zodiac king ZBG came up with a self-admited bullshit explanation that there was a series of "prerequisites" for a person being the next zodiac king, and one of them was being unmarried. So maybe you would only need to tell it to Sebastian?

If you wanted to be the king it would be more of a problem. Maybe you cold ask for a divorce? And marry one of the bribes. And become king. Than divorce the bribe, and re-marrie your IRL wife.

Major Threats:

3. Aquarius: She can fly and I don't have any ranged weapons at my disposal. I don't have guns, and shooting her outta the sky could very well kill her. She could go around raining death, though that'd get her eliminated quickly I expect. I'd likely have to hunt her down once she lands at night.

2. Leo: Depending on her abilities' mechanics, she might be formidable. Her charisma strengthens her, but since she's on a different plane, it might not function as well. Knowing she can beat Capricorn in a duel means she's no pushover.

1. Capricorn: Probably the strongest bride on the field with the standard massive strength-def buff. The nonlethal weapons I have (pepper spray, mace, tear gas, and taser could very well work). Night ambushes are possible as she probably has to sleep. And if worst comes to worst, a direct fight would cause Angelica to go berserk. She might be able to fight through teargas. Also I have a secret weapon.

Secret Weapon:

2006 Acura TL. Zodiac sounds like a world in magitech stasis. My car will give me superior speed to most of the brides, and if ambushing and nonlethal methods won't work, I have a last strategy of jumping in, accelerating to 40-70mph and just ramming them. Vignette can heal them afterwards.

Hopefully that'd end with nobody dying and me getting an awesome Faun Waifu.

-HAPPY END-

Skill lets you master magic at an inhuman rate. Knowledge and magic let you pull off the most ridiculous shit possible. If five years of chemistry has taught me anything, it's that there's a hell of a lot of scary shit out there. Being able to create it from nothing via magic, and having the knowledge of that shits composition, and also having complete control over its stability because hah magic and skill don't gotta explain shit, all hell would break lose. I'd love to see how it would play out with that skill set.

Fort Sumter was on South Carolina state property. Refusing to leave was an act of aggression and a violation of the NAP.
>>
>>53385159
It was mostly under the legal authority of a technicality. There wasn't a legitimate legal procedure for succession but the southern states tried to do so any way. This gave Lincoln the justification that they were trying to leave the union in an illegal manner so he could mobilize the army to stop them.
>>
>>53385349
If Lincoln was intelligent, he could have taken his issue to the court. He never would have done this, as a boring legal case would not have sated his bloodlust.
>>
>>53385299
So you agree the South was fundamentally unjust, given as how it had slaves, who did not consent to be governed.
>>
>>53385348
Military bases are federal property. Maybe the South should have left legally first anyway. You can't just REEEE to secede and get mad when the government keeps federal property

>>53385382
Which the south tried to do by starting the war?
>>
>>53385382
Lincoln's actions were legal on a technical standpoint because his constitutionally mandated role as Commander in Chief was to 'protect the union'.
That doesn't make the actions of the Union Generals correct or legal.

>>53385408
Nigger, roughly 80% of the South's slaves were in the Confederate military. They outnumbered the white guys 2 to 1 - and were armed with the same weapons.
If they didn't consent, they could have just shot the white guy.

>>53385413
> Military bases are federal property.
Wasn't the case until World War 1 (excluding West Point and the original Naval Bases), and for 90+% of them, it's still not the case.
Fort Hood, Texas, is leased by the US Government for $1.

Yeah. That's why prisons stay full voluntarily. Inmates outnumber the guards 10 to 1, if they wanted to get out, they'd just kill them all and take the weapons. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Slavery needed to be phased out slowly as it became economically irrelevant. There were already large swaths of the South that had no use for slaves, and they were pretty much just house servants there. Outlawing slavery all at once in a region without the infrastructure to handle a different kind of economy will lead to economic devastation and poverty. Which is exactly what happened, the South became desolate and poor because, creating that yokel stereotype, and it's only recently that the South has managed to economically recover in general. It only took well over a century to get to that point, and some places are probably never going to get back to pre-war prominence (South Carolina) even as places like NC and Georgia become large and wealthy states.

Also, if you think we're fuck ups, you shouldn't want us to be part of your nation either.

In the north, where industrialization made it so. You could effectively run machines for most factory work. And what you couldn't, you could just hire women and children at unthinkably low wages. You could not do the same for farms.

Slavery was already banned in the North and had been for a long time. The war had nothing to do with that, only with economic and states rights issues, including slavery, in a South that felt alienated due to the North's rising prominence, insistence on industrialization, tariffs meant to protect northern industry at the expense of the Southern economy which was largely reliant on exports, and paranoia brought on by the rising abolition movement.

>>53385606
From the standpoint of South Carolina, Fort Sumter was an illegal occupation of state property. And as I stated in an earlier post, the South in general wouldn't have defended the few states of the Confederacy at the time if Lincoln didn't try and force their state militia to fight against the Confederacy. All the secessions at that point were his fault directly.

Also, we should put some blame on Buchanan for being such a limp-wristed coward. An earlier secession attempt by South Carolina was thwarted by Jackson a few decades earlier with swift action, which could have been accomplished again. This is doubly so because, if Buchanan had been able to control the situation, then the news of the original 14th Amendment, which originally guaranteed slavery where it existed, would have had time to be ratified by the states before things escalated. It had already passed through congress and Lincoln himself said he planned to sign it, so it very nearly wasn't an issue.

I'm not saying Lincoln was smart, I'm saying the south started it. I don't think everything the North did was right, nor smart, I just think that the South can't really call it Northern Aggression when they started it in two different ways, by leaving, and by attacking lawful state property.

From actual law the fort was technically state property. Someone told you earlier that the fort wasn't national property.

The union was originally meant to be something in existence do to the states' own wills. I wouldn't call it aggression to get out of a bad deal that's actively harmful for your economy. Firing on the resupply boat heading into Fort Sumter was a poor move of course, but those soldiers shouldn't have been there.
