Not really. As a GM who enjoys romance subplots, I don't really have an interest in the player. I don't get any sexual pleasure from it, I just enjoy putting the PCs through the emotional wringer.

I always think of it as something from a K-drama or an anime series with a lot of misunderstandings. Now, I have had some players say that my characters are basically the 'perfect woman', but that's simply a combination of power fantasy and wish fulfillment.

Like, one of my players is kind of henpecked. His girlfriend makes him jump through all kinds of hoops, which isn't unusual. But his *character* is the kind of guy women try to claw the pants of, given that he looks like a picture of those muscular male angels about to do some righteous smiting. Just having a girl actively pursue you can be an intoxicating feeling.

His love interest is cheating on him. I can't wait to drop THAT bombshell.
