I'm actually not too familiar with our medieval period, but the area around the rhine has lots and lots of very small castles, pretty much all of them open to the public. Something that's really cool is the medieval market in Ebernburg, the city center is from the middle ages and kept in very good shape. This year's market is 15th to 17th of September, and there's anything from medieval music to medieval food and drink, and of course clothes and actual blacksmiths crafting weapons and tools for sale. They don't have an english website, though.

Besides that, if you're visiting Europe because of its medieval history, you should see Prague. First university in Europe in 1348, and they still have the oldest active synagogue in Europe. And, of course, the castle.

On the question of where you should start your tour of Germay, I'm sorry I can't give a definite recommendation, I've got to admit I have not been around too much within my own country. But you should not start in Berlin. It's very different from the rest of Germany, and in my opinion a rather dirty city. Trier would be a good point, it has a rich history since the times of the roman empire, several World Heritage Sites and is generally a rather nice city.

Yeah, and it's one I'm sorely lacking. I'm still working on the foundation for my core gameplay element, which is society building. But that requires food, goods, structures, defense ... Simulating an entire country (within a single city), especially if you're using concrete mechanics, is terribly comlex. By now I feel as if I were trying to create something like Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri instead. But it's too late to just scrap the mechanics and go with a more fluff focused approach ...

Generally anybody can learn any spell under level 3 as long as they aren't as dumb as a sack of bricks. You can learn any spell as long as you have wisdom. Aquiring spells can be time consuming though. Mage guilds only have a handful of spells they teach, you'd have to travel around to get the whole package. Scholar helps in that regard.

This cyoa has issues/problems.

1) There are not enough drawbacks for extra points unless you stick with taylor era as that's 2 of the best point giver and villain for the extra points. Golden Era should have the same slaughterouse and endbringer drawbacks as they were both around during those times too, S9 was even worse then, before the taylor era flee and clone part.

2) Missing classic powers like Pancaea and others, yet has other classic powers like Shard Admin and PtV.

3) Paths aren't very balanced. Get extra points and nice perks from Villain and pisspoor stuff from Rogue, Expensive not really able to buy stuff from cauldron (power wise) and hero was kind of meh. Vigliante seemed fine.

From the moment he first appeared (seemingly out of nowhere), everyone knew that Demonlord Deathfiend - as he called himself - was a despicable being. A villain so terrible that even other criminals don't want to be likened to him. It is all very clear, given how the day he appeared many bad things happened - it was like a massive storm had swept through the city.
No one knows exactly what he did (even the capes who fought him that day), but everyone is sure it was something very bad.

Nonetheless, he is clearly a villain and his evil agenda must be stopped - further proof is how he always goes on lengthy, oddly persuasive speeches about how "showing kindness to children will make them grow weak and bring forth the end of the world" while he robs groceries and markets out of all available candy.
Later, Demonlord and his mooks visit orphanages and schools, forcing children to draw pictures of the villain himself, giving them large bags of sweets for every drawing they collect. The poor staff is unable to do anything but beg for mercy, powerless against the halberd-swinging mooks of the villain.
If capes show up and try to defuse his evil operations while they are in progress, he fights untiringly while his mooks run the business. Once all candy is distributed, he flees with his minions in an old truck, a spine chilling laugh echoing through the streets.

I basically get the power of all the parahumans in 1km radius at 25% strength but use them better than the original owners thanks to my thinker powers, cosmetic shape-shift and peak condition are mostly for aesthetics.
Follower 1 is going to get me and follower 2 triggered (and maybe buff our shards???) and then probably die to leviathan.
Follower 2 is just the perfect waifu, can change her appearence once a day and have infinite clones, she is also pretty good for infiltration and stealing shit. Imagine having hundreds of her with different appearences working for corporations, the PRT etc.
