Why did I not reply? Because I wanted you to talk to me and answer my posts. Something you seem to refuse to do despite my offering. I do not want to discuss it. I think it's fine. You are the one who sees there to be a problem, which is why I am telling you to tell me and discuss with me. I also didn't read the entire thread instead of skimming it, so I picked the two posts I did notice to reply to you and get you to come back to me later.

Offend me? The general rudeness of your posts, insults, comparing my writing to that of a 13 year olds. Honestly, what do you expect me to react to things like that with? Even the ass comment makes no sense, given I refused you only once and that you have only brought it up twice, the second time having randos answer you.

>I am not the only anon
I am aware. I never treated you as one. I only ever treated you as the same anon who made the original posts complaining because you said that's who you were. I've made no claim that those other people are you, you just seem to believe that I did.

>>53226641
>The more important point
Right. You dropped the two dozen other complaints completely, instead of trying to continue the discussion at all, to argue one of the few things I refused absolutely, instead of the things I gave my reasons for. Given I even offered a compromise, I can't say I believe you actually want anything but every change you want and to not have any middleground.

Yes, I would have discussed it. Anon, I have talked with people and debated for days on end about Fate stuff before. An hour long argument about one thing isn't going to change my mind about other things. You certainly don't seem to know me if you think I'd shut you down when I've gone for hours and hours at other times.

In fact, more and more, it seems like you aren't looking to discuss things, just for finding ammunition and let loose attacks at me. But hey, like I said, still open to discussion.

I'm aware, but the fact she's 71 is a joke that comes up multiple times in the LN, on both sides of the fence.
"I'm not just a child I'm 71" and "I'm only 71, I'll still grow up, unlike your flat self" are both things that happen.

Many of the Typhon powers take multiple mods, as well as lower tier version prerequisites that also take multiple mods. Instead of no discounts, they should have the entire typhon mods section be their discount (25 CP/mod or 50 CP/2 mods) If the Typhon background was also free with 4 free mods (their 100 CP perk equivalent) instead of costing 500 CP, 500 CP would still be 24 mods, but they could also spend more CP on mods at a discount, which they need since they don't get item discounts or freebies either.

Fire Emblem Heroes, drop-in has a purchasable OC companion who's meant to be a mentor figure of sorts, but if you're looking for other choices, one of the DBZ jumps might have OC mentors.

You could also go to King Arthur and bring Merlin along with you if you spend your time there advising the king, and if you asked the Hero BBS they might hook you up with one. Sage of The Forest is actually a very good teacher if you buy him. Or pop on down to Fate/ and summon a Heroic Spirit to teach you stuff and be a mentor. Caster Cu has a thing about teaching people.

Astolfo is still pretty good when you play him to his strengths. Like, he's a really solid Iskandar counter ignoring the fact that they're both Riders and would likely never show up in the same war.

Astolfo is great at blowing away tons of lower durability enemies from relative safety, being a massive nuisance to anyone that doesn't mind guarding, and breaking magic/RMs due to his great assortment of NPs. Sure, getting him to go along with plans is difficult to say the least part of why I picked him up really but he can be a massive pain in the ass when he wants to be, especially against Casters.
>>
>>53227783
Astolfo is good at his strengths but when he's not playing to them he runs into serious trouble. Part of why he manages to do well in Apocrypha is he has teammates to shore up his weaknesses. Without them it just takes a decent Saber deciding to kill him to bring him down.

Or he runs away, which is still an option with Hippogriff since that thing is hard to catch. Sabers are one of the things he can't fight directly very well due to their tankiness high all around stats, but they often lack reliable range options for sniping him out of the air, especially if they could maybe only spare one or two shots if they have something since he could probably spare a phase out or two to no sell it.

It's a real rock paper series thing here. Astolfo is a squishy slayer, he just doesn't really have the skill set or options to deal with things like Sabers or Berserkers. He's great at hunting down masters, Casters, Riders and sometimes Assassins though and getting out. The real weakness is Evaporation of Sanity, since it makes him utterly unpredictable. Sure it can help him out in battle at times, but it leaves him open to sudden surprises since he can get a bit careless at the same time. Him against Assassins is weird that way.

I think his real weakness class-wise would be Archers who could reliably and repeatedly snipe at him with things that could end him from ranges he doesn't have the ability to fight back against if they can get into position.

Practically any jump with the Olympian gods in it, simply by merit of the fact all the major heroes have their backing.

I was pretty much a divine terrorist in Age of Mythology, and Percy Jackson. I used fusion detonators to blow up Olympus, then my Eliatrope powers to free the Titans. We poisoned the Greeks' wells, burned their crops and delivered plagues unto their houses.

In Xena, I crushed them under an army of Necrons.

In God of War, I was much more passive-I just volunteered my services as a smith to Kratos, and forged him weapons powerful enough to kill them much quicker.

By the time the Greek Mythology jump rolled around, I simply...took power in Greece, and postmodernised it with all the magitechnology at my disposal. Once the microcosm was mass produced, living standards skyrocketed until worship of the gods fell out of fashion. In time, however, all the heroes and villains who had been wronged by the gods-including Medea and Medusa, my Servants-realised they had a golden opportunity, and led an army to storm Olympus, chain the gods and lock them in Tartarus. Why, it's almost as if someone was weaving Fate to bless what became known as the neo-titanomachy! Nothing that could ever be connected to the king of Greece, though.

There's only four I try to spare each time I do what I do: Hades, his consort Persephone, Hestia and Hecate.

Too often, Hades fights to the end. When I crippled the Olympians, sewed them together and and dropped them into the Lethe I offered him a place in the new world order as a peer. He refused. He took Chrion's place, and became their warden. In the Percy Jackson era, he died with honor. And in the original mythology, he cleverly played on all my equality talk to wrest /some/ humane treatment for the imprisoned Olympians. Like not having boiling adamantium poured into every orifice.

You have to understand. I NEVER say things like "he died with honor", unless the sacrifice was both a serious setback and something I recognise as worthwhile. This almost NEVER happens among the enemies I make.

Hestia and Hecate have been more amenable; whoever rules the heavens, people depend on the hearth and respect the mystery of witchcraft. It was easiest in Age of Mythology, because for some reason Hecate's a Titan there.

>Hestia

Anon, I am an abomination, an arch-heretic and Thing That Should Not Be in their eyes. I am a horrific nightmare from beyond the stars that walks in the flesh of mortal man as some sick joke. I am the anomaly that does not fit the pattern woven by Fate.

Or so their oracles would say.

Yes, I'm aware of the irony. Yes, it's one more reason to hate them all.

I have no grudge against her, and she has no reason to thank me for my mercy. For goodness' sake, I can actually claim descent from Typhaon or...SOMETHING, of all beings. I never did find out how those dudes in Bloody Roar got their hands on his "DNA".

Point being: We didn't.

We just came to a mutual understanding that if the king of the gods can't stop me, the goddess of the hearth shouldn't try.

>Hecate

. . .

Okay, you got me.

Look, what can I say? Everyone and their mother knows Aphrodite has it going on, while the spooky goddess is shunned out of fear. They get lonely. It's just like that time Hel had her way with my "deceased" body so hard I was able to argue tears of joy from Death herself should be a passable replacement for Loki's tears-but I digress. On the other hand, as I wasn't always a god I had quite a fascination with witchcraft back when I was mostly mortal.

So-we had a bit of a professional rapport going on in Age of Mythology; again, it helped she was a Titan in that era. I showed her my necrobotany, she taught me the secrets of the crossroads, I was stressed from work and-well, one thing led to another.

And then it kept happening, mostly because she's also an outsider from the main pantheon.

Depends on the type of revenge. Normally the petty kind just makes me feel bad to consider so I avoid that. If we're talking "someone killed a companion" then yeah, definitely getting the revenge party in full swing. Things of that nature or scale have already happened a couple times, whether I orchestrated them or not. While my group tends to be pretty chill on the whole, there are a couple with very sensitive trigger fingers and protective instincts.

>1. does Fruit of knowledge Start out As having been eaten or can you do other things with it?
You get the fruit itself.
>2.does the Cursed to damnation side effect extend to other jumps?
Only Jack Chick's God, and clarified in notes that other deities probably won't care.
>3.does it work retroactively for children you already have?
Unfortunately, fruit-based wisdom isn't inheritable after conception. There's nothing keeping you from planting the seeds and just giving them their own fruit, though.
>4.If you have one up perks, Or perks that guarantee alternatives to the usual afterlife does it remove/nullify them?
If you have perks that mean you don't stay dead, you won't stay dead. If you have perks that are fiated to send you to a certain afterlife, Chick's God isn't going to prevent Jumpchan from sending you where you ought to be going.

>>
>>53229952
Modern Magic is indeed mainly code-based, as contrary to Ancient Magic, which mainly uses things like talismans and other such rituals. Modern Magic is consdiered an improvement because of the CAD's ability to register and project an Activation Sequence
that essentially kick-start a Magic Sequence into being much faster than most Ancient Magic.

>>
>>53230004
Yeah, but that's what confuses me; how can you have a code based magic system where the rules are seemingly the same for everybody, and yet also some people just have unique abilities? Why can some people just do things that other people can't?
>>
>>53229971
These are questions I haven't thought much about.
>How much changes?
I'm tempted to say that it effects the world as much as a 300CP drawback normally does, but that's a really unsatisfying non-answer. Saying "wank something" is equally unsatisfying. I guess I'd say it makes it default Lovecraft - most people are blissfully unaware, and that's for the best. You're likely to encounter some weird shit, because it IS a drawback, but it won't be anything like A Study in Emerald. Maybe a little less forthright than Darkest Dungeon or The Colour Out of Space, but more omnipresent and sanity-threatening than posing a bodily risk?

>Combo
That's definitely a genius way of looking at it.
>>
>>53230055
Is God still there alongside the great old ones or does he get replaced entirely?
>>
>>53230047
Magic as a whole isn't entirely code-based, only Modern Magic. Some characters have innate talents that allow them to do things that would technically be doable, but practically are nigh-impossible.
Magic here relies on the Magic Calculation Area, a part of the subconscious mind that handle all the heavy lifting of Magic, and the process for casting with a CAD goes like this:
Psions from the user > CAD convert the Psions into coding impulses > CAD convert the result of those pulses into an Activation Sequence > Activation Sequence is transfered through the CAD into the user's mind > Magic Calculation Area compute the Sequence and fill in the variable > Spell Output.

Should I make the lack of a limit explicit?

>Wealth-based CHA bonus: Does it also include the crossed-out bits, or just popularity?
Just popularity. People may try to tell you you're the crossed out bits, but it won't be true.

>Well Practiced in Every Form of Perversion: So, wait, does this give you practise in "perversion" or help you seduce anything? Both?
No seduction bonus, just a "can do sex to anything with some degree of skill better than a layperson".

>Full Report From All Divisions: This cuts off at the end.
Fixed! Thanks for catching this.

>Book of Life: How far back do these records go?
All the way back.

>Fruit of Knowledge: I'm guessing this is the christian god/Jack Chick definition of Good/Evil and sins?
It's deliberately left ambiguous so people can interpret it in the way that makes the most sense for their chain. It wouldn't do much good once the jump ended, if it worked off of Chick's definitions, though.
>Mask of the Deceiver: So... can Fallen actually get horns and stuff then? Or is this in case you have those from somewhere else?
I was thinking that Fallen were human pawns, but wrote the mask with inhuman alt-forms in mind.

>Moral Compass: Can I buy it twice for both of them?
Absolutely.

> I wonder what reaction will be if I introduce Dark Dungeons players to FATAL.
Probably poor. Dark Dungeons is a well-designed, popular game that can give you powers. FATAL is an unplayable clusterfuck of tables and contradictory rules.

>>
>>53230126
Make it from warpstone, it is their own fault if they cannot protect themselves from the effects.
>>
>>53230110
So, the problem is the fact that some people have better/special subconscious functions which can process those Activation Sequences, which other people's brains aren't capable of processing? Or it's something to do with the Psions?
>>
>>53230126
Dreamstone enhances and stores magic really effectively, although it doesn't radiate it itself. You can get it from Chrono Trigger, although it's rare.
Buying it gives you a rock of dreamstone that grows more of itself over time, so if you've got some way to copy it or speed up time you're good.
>>
>>53230161
Pretty mcuh your first explanation. Some people's mind are able to handle certain functions much better than others. Thisis also responsible for the phenomenon known as Bron-Specialized Magicians, where the Magic Calculation Area is dominated by a certain type of Magic, allowing them great performance in that particular type to the detriment of other types.
>>
>>53230195
Alright here's the first draft of The Irregular At Magic High School jump.
Commentaries and constructive criticism are welcome as always.
>>
>>53230134
>Should I make the lack of a limit explicit?
Maybe. It's not very important, but since there's usually a limit, I for one tend to assume there would be one.

>Just popularity. People may try to tell you you're the crossed out bits, but it won't be true.
Alright. Seems fair enough for a 100cp perk.

>No seduction bonus, just a "can do sex to anything with some degree of skill better than a layperson".
Hm, okay then.

>Fixed! Thanks for catching this.

>All the way back.

>It's deliberately left ambiguous so people can interpret it in the way that makes the most sense for their chain. It wouldn't do much good once the jump ended, if it worked off of Chick's definitions, though.

When it says you have to have access to the body, what exactly does that mean? Obviously, you couldn't Rez someone on the other side of the world, but do you have to be able to put your hands on the body or merely be close enough? Also, how does decomposition affect it?

The formatting is a little bit weird. Also, surprised there's nothing that would let you start as a member of one of the psuedo-noble houses, or a location roll.
>>
>>53230266
I could put a list of specific terms in the notes if that's alright with you? Also yes, it's sligthyl underwhelming. I could add more and/or make them keep upgrades you make to them maybe?
>>
>>53230211
This needs a glossary or notes section explaining what all this terminology about Eidos/CADs/magic sequences/etc means. You also need some sample feats for all these different magical systems you're offering. I have no idea what Data Fortification magic or Release magic would do, what two Cardinal Codes would encompass.

Superpower user should give you a second power for free when its boosted by a capstone, or you should think of a different boosted effect for it, because some training in that one spell isn't as good as improvements to the other capstones.

Home Automation Robots are way overpriced.

It's hard to explain; like, the centering is a little odd? Maybe remove the bullet points too. The font/spacing on the words is also strange, like it's too big.

Also, you don't need to replace a perk slot, just add it in as a undiscounted perk or something. A location roll isn't necessary if you want to stick with the jump starting with people in First Magic High School, but it would be appreciated.
>>
>>53230211
It feels a little bit...dry? Like, there's very little flavor or context behind the perks. Instead, there's an info dump about what the perks give you, and an explanation of what that means, but there's no reasons given for why it's there.

It also peeves me a bit that you're forced to start in Tatsuya's school, since there's more to the setting than just that. Like, no option to just start as a member of a criminal syndicate? No option to start in China or America? Not even an option to start in one of the other magic schools?

The centering is due to the bullet points and my own formatting and the spacing between words is because someone asked me to Justify my previous jumps so it became standard operating procedure, but if it bothers you I can always try to remove it.

>>53230781

...Well, this place was great. First things first: I went to Hell. It was pretty damn cliche with Satan in all his cloven-hooved glory sitting on a spiky throne in the deepest pits. He was also a massive chump; went down like a complete bitch. With my nrw position as defacto ruler of Hell, I set out to do my dark work. I opened a portal and led an army of the damned to conquer the world.

God, of course, was not happy about this and sent forth the Hosts of Heaven to stop us. But here's the thing about angels: they're not as metaphysically diverse as other beings, all linked together below the Will of God. So all I needed was one bit of angel to set up a thaumaturgic link, which I then proceeded to shove a Gigs Slave through. It was pretty funny when the countless Hosts of Heaven, as numberless as the sands on the beach, simply started popping like those rolls of s thousand firecrackers that explode in a chain reaction.

After this we had a brief reprieve, during which we finished conquering the world. As the Dark Prince Of All That I Survey I committed such heinous acts of evil as legalizing gay marriage and criminalizing pedophilia. I was truly a dark tyrant, see. At this point God could stand no more and stepped forth to cast us out of the world himself. What he didn't expect was for my army of the damned to be riding iron chariots and wielding weaponized foreskins. He fled before our millenia-out-of-date army and returned to Heaven. We had a drug-fueled orgy to celebrate our dark victory!

Yes. Revenge can be pretty great. I'm impulsive about it, and not really a planner. Stuff like melting peoples shoes to the floor, or sending rude notes, or positioning your unit in line with an incoming enemy assault and ordering a retreat seconds before they arrive so that they'll act as bait and trick the enemy into overextending and getting caught in an ambush.

Y'know, petty shit.

>Superpower User
I'm pretty sure that Tatsuya could come back from death with Regrowth. Did you nerf it for the jump or am I remembering it incorrectly?

As for the rest of the jump, it feels a bit sparse and too technical, but I don't really know how you would fix that. Maybe some perks unrelated to the magic?
>>

Just for fun, would it even be possible to make a build for Tatsuya? The amount of superpowers are limited to 2, so you'd lack one, but I don't even think there's enough CP if you take all the drawbacks. I mean, he has basically every capstone, doesn't he?

>>
>>53231580
It's technically possible to take 2 capstones and the capstone booster, but you end up with 300 points extra with the current draft assuming you had 1800 points.

-600 for the booster
-300 for whatever your background's capstone is
-600 for another capstone

300 left over. If you bought Superpower twice, assuming you took that background to get it discounted, you'd have spent a clean 1800 and still be lacking.

So after I got done recovering from the existential horror of forcibly realizing my place in a truly uncaring universe, I spent most of the jump doing drugs to forget that, and prepping the Goddess Seal to stave off otherworldly horrors, and occasionally running from shoggoths, and occasionally blowing up buildings that housed shoggoths, and occasionally lying to the police about my proximity to exploding buildings. It's a good thing I have those perks that protect me from going insane!

His magic is "decomposition", lets him make things fall apart. That's how he counters spells or disintegrates people. At the highest power outputs he can cause something to decay to pure energy. It should be noted that this isn't a power he learns over the course of the series, it's something he's always known and was just holding back, because fuck your light novel protagonist being at all at risk from anyone else, right? No, he's got to be the most OP character ever from the word go, overcoming challenges isn't part of this power fantasy. In fact, let's say that he used this awesome power to single-handedly defeat an invasion by every continental Asian country at once, back when he was 12. That definitely won't completely defang them as a potential threat later on in the series when they invade again, knowing that the protagonist effortlessly killed them all before his balls had even dropped.

>Well IIRC the natives of Ledgerdomain were just humans that could use magical energy, and it didn't work on them
All humans can learn magic. Towards the end of the series, before the reboot, they were starting to teach it in college.

The omnitrix can't scan a Ledgerdomain human because it already has human DNA. The omnitrix only has one sample per race.

What you're thinking of is probably how the omnitrix failed to scan the magic bats or golems that also live in Ledgerdoman, because they're made out of pure magic and don't have DNA. Same reason it can't handle Anodines or whatever.

But that's stupid, because that's not how nukes fucking work, and further more, that implies he's just pulling the energy to rip atoms apart from nothing.

Does the author who wrote this understand that the reason nuclear weaponry works is because the elements used are inherently super dense and heavy on top of being seriously unstable?

You can't just rip the atoms of anything apart and have it make a big explosion, that's super inefficient.

Kinda, Gwen is still a hybrid with a race of pure energy beings so bizarre it can't be copied by the omnitrix. So it still holds true a bit.

I mean, it wouldn't even be hard to make his powers functionally equal to a nuke just by saying they scale to have a really big range, but the explanation of 'he decays the atoms which causes them to explode like nukes' is on a level where they put just enough though in to make it dumber. Another related question. Apparently the reason Tatsuya can only restore something up to 24h is that he can only see up to 24h into the past with his Elemental Sight. If we had a way to look further into the past, could we increase the time limit on Regrowth?
>>
>>53232169
Never said, and their are more human cross relationships than any other we see in the show. Keep in mind nobody said hybrids couldn't exist, they just retaconned the plumber kids to fit into that weird storyline.
>>
>>53232289
Outside of the Ben Bowl we only see like, one.
>>
>>53232149
Well, the weird thing is that the series actually kind of acknowledges this. There are other characters who have spells that mimic the effects of nuclear weapons, but they all have to use specialized materials as fuel. Tatsuya's just so skilled that he can ignore that requirement. Again, before he had even hit puberty. Which makes the writing double bad, because instead of just getting his science wrong (which the author does anyway, in other places) the author is instead writing his protagonist as even more of a special snowflake that's the greatest wizard ever.
>>
>>53232215

I just read through the wiki, and it doesn't actually break down molecular bonds. Here's the quote:
> This ability goes further than breaking matter down into its constituent molecules and atoms as it directly converts matter into energy.
Basically, it's magic, not applied physics.
>>
>>53232366
Thanks, that's great. I really love the magic of the series, so that jump will definitely become a core part of my chain.
>>
>>53232307
But that's the thing, that makes no sense. Like, that's just not how nuclear physics works.

If you could rip apart the atoms of regular, stable, not particularly dense matter hard enough that it causes an explosion, you don't even need to rip the atoms apart to begin with, you have enough power/energy that you can just rip everything in a huge area apart anyway.

>>53232411
That's still dumb, but it's way less dumb than if it were an attempt at actual application of physics.
>>
>>53232443
Why is it dumb? It's further described in this quote:
>The energy released by Material Burst can be calculated using Einstein's mass-energy equivalence equation (E=mc2), in which energy released through the decomposition of matter is the mass of the decomposed matter multiplied by the speed of light squared. This shows that when Material Burst is used upon "...a single drop of water, a paltry 50 milligrams of matter, the explosion created has the power equivalent of 1000 tons of TNT.
I mean, I was always shit at physics, and especially at maths, but isn't this pretty much how it would work if it were possible irl?
>>
>>53232443
>But that's the thing, that makes no sense. Like, that's just not how nuclear physics works.
What part of "he's so special he can ignore hos physics works" do you not understand? He's a dumb Mary Sue, let's just leave it at that.
>>
>>53232465
That's the thing though; the fact that he's decomposing matter into pure energy at all is what's dumb, since that's frankly ridiculous. It's not the result that's dumb, but the process.
>>
>>53232400
You're forgetting Joel and Camille.
>>
>>53232465
Yes, but it's like lighting a fire. You need a lit match or other similar source of energy to start the reaction.
But to rip apat matter and release it energy at the level described would require a fuckton more energy than a simple match.
>>

I feel like this perk is way too expensive. Does it let you create your own spell? I think it's unclear at this point. Because Anodite's are basically souls. Whatsherface put on a human flesh suit when she got with Max (reminder that Max is basically McCoy. Dude's had more aliens on him than Most Eisley) and then one of their grandchildren inherited the potential to go full energy being.

Actually I think it's funny that Kevin has actually looked back around to his original origin story, since he was a human mutant in the first series.
>>
>>53232485
>>53232501
Well, it's literal magic. I think they can be excused for making the impossible possible if there's magic in play. Of course, the author was trying to keep it all scientifically accurate (or at least pseudo-scientific), which means he failed at that part, but my suspension of disbelief is still intact.
>>
>>53232443
Tatsuya's magic doesn't really interact with physical processes. It's more like he's hacking reality. Tatsuya isn't bombarding particles with enough energy that they undergo fission or fusion (though other people do use magic like that). He's just directly erasing the nuclear forces holding a particle together, causing it to decay directly into energy. This is only possible for him because he's such an inherently awesome super-wizard that was born with the power of Shiva. Not a joke, some characters even call him "Mahesvara" ("the Great Lord"), one of Shiva's titles. Everyone else has to use very basic reality hacking to just generate physical forces and manipulate them, but Tatsuya was born with the power of Creation and Destruction and therefore can ignore physics altogether except when it's convenient for him.

This is magic that interact with magic, although most applications seen in the series fall under counter-magic, but following the principle it should be able to be used as metamagic, although you'd have to discover that yourself.

>Flash Cast
>Is there normally a limit to how many spells a magician can handle?
>Also, would it be possible for jumpers with memory perks to memorize activation sequences and magic sequences without this perk?
No there isn't a limit but the number of processes Tatsuya can handly in a single spell using Flash Cast is limited to 5.
Also, no you'd need more than simply memeory perks, maybe some instant recall and consciousness upgrades to do that.

>A-Rank Magic
>I think that this perk be divided into individual 100/50 cp purchases for people who want specific spells. As such an expensive bundle, I don't think it's as appealing as the other neat stuff here.

Besides you can already get Kara in Arrowverse jump. Supergirl Jump is going to be a separate multiverse, it gets around the problem of running into yourself in Arrowverse while doing a Supergirl Jump.

>>

The process is magic.
Magic, anon.
>>
>>53233030
What exactly would be the benefit of breaking down magic into Cardinal Codes? Is it just the magic becoming fater and more efficient?
>>
>>53233112
No, just direct matter-energy conversion. No antimatter involved, just straight annihilation.
>>
>>53233172
It seems like Cardinal Codes can be recombined with each other to produce way more effects. Like, you have the codes for all the subtypes of magic in this system, you could combine them with each other to create any kind of magic possible with the system, significantly more efficiently. So if you broke down other magic into Cardinal Codes, you could recombine them with each other in the same fashion to produce a broader variety of effects at greater efficiency.
>>
>>53233140
>What happens if we take Cthulhu Tract and Great Tribulation? Does God abandon ship and leave us to the Old Ones or something?
With Chtulhu Tract, God is replaced by whatever cosmology Lovecraft came up with, so the Tribulations would be the stars aligning for Cthulhu's return, and all that entails.
>>
>>53233172
Pretty mcuh what >>53233232 said. Please keep in mind that only a single Cardinal Code was found in the series, although Tatsuya is implied to know them all and IIRC he thinks there are some effects that can't be reproduced using only Cardinal Codes.

So! Hope the fine folks at home weren't expecting anything terribly entertaining for the first year or so! I go to church, say my prayers and ask for forgiveness in advance for any sins I may or may not commit in the future.

To the intense disbelief and shock of my companions, the most exciting thing I do is run for president. The sharper ones figure out I'm up to something, though. What's that? Sorceror? HA, don't be crazy! These are miracles born of faith, not works! Evolution? Naaaw, I just work out!

Occasionally, I break into evangelical song-and-dance routines that, tactfully yet tastefully, inform the Deceived that the risk-reward ratio for christianity is absurdly beneficial when ANY sin can be forgiven as long as you ask for forgiveness before death. I also made friends with the Grim Reaper. He's actually pretty chill, so it's nice to have one sane person(ification) to talk to.

It's not until the end of the year that I take some deity-approved mana with me on a journey to invite God to a picnic. He seems to enjoy the waffles of redemption receipe I invented in Actraiser.

He looks somewhat surprised that I've brought the Necronomicon with me.

Polite conversation is had. Eventually, He gently asks me what I'm doing with such a wicked book. I start ranting about NYARLATHOTEP. God looks confused. Nyarlathotep, I explain, is the ULTIMATE sinner. Not only does he glamourise the power of darkness by creating cults of murderous madmen, but he also attacks the SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE by encouring people to become as the Great Old Ones! And that's terrible!

Nyarlathotep, I shout while frothing at the mouth from a year of repressed hate, is a 4th edition-playing, cat killing, Harry Potter fanboying, candy sharpening, witch sponsoring, Masonic homosexual rock 'n roll Catholic-Muslim-Mormon crack addict! As I do this I broadcast all my Outer God-related hate at the Lord, who rapidly goes from apopletic to 200% mad. This evildoer must be cast into Hell! Bring him before me!

And finding the right passage in the Necronomicon, I oblige. The Crawling Chaos looks momentarily surprised I would summon it without a protective circle. He's trying to tell me something, and quick as I can I stuff the Fruit of Knowledge in what God figures is close enough to be a mouth. And now he's falling into the lake of fire! HOW DO YOU LIKE /DEM/ STRANGE AEONS, SINNER?!

I spend the rest of the decade pointing and laughing as the bastard tries to escape.

Apparently maniacal laughter isn't considered a sin.

What is with the origin prices in Luther Strode? It looks like the 100/200 price tag for the non drop-in origins is based on having some talent with the method but buying the book costs the same for everyone and gives you enough "talent" to master it. Anyone interested in the method will definitely buy it (out of necessity because otherwise there is a cap to your abilities with it).

For Drop-Ins they only have to pay 300 for the method but Students/Peacekeepers (the origins that focus on it) have to pay a total of 500 for the method!

Fuck man, it's just that those people turn a tool that can do really positive things into a weapon.

I don't practice anymore for a variety of reasons, and there's a chance I never will again. Having said that, it irritates me to see that level of corruption and what flows from said corruption.

>You might want to have a section in the notes listing how taking Cthulhu Tract might modify the other religion related Disadvantages, like Cthulhu Tract + There Is NO Second Chance might mean that if you die during the jump for cease to exist (uncaring universe is indifferent to you, why would you have an immortal soul) And Cthulhu Tract + Great Tribulation means the Stars Align 3 years in like you previously stated.
I'll put that on the to-do list for the next iteration, thanks for the suggestion.

>>53235418
Thanks for sharing, anon. One of the reasons I believe the beliefs espoused in these tracts need to be mocked is because they come from a place of fear brought about by willful ignorance. He's not even subtle about it - the major motivation for accepting Christ, according to Chick, is to avoid hell.

It's a 'people injured by vectors carry the Diclonius vector and spread it to their kids' thing.
>>
>>53235596
Because if you get infected by the Diclonius Virus, which is transmitted via touch of damage from Vectors, all your children from that point forward are Diclonii.

I recommend having some outside context medicine or disease immunity, because it's common practice to castrate victims of said virus.

Elfen Lied is awful.

Infernals, Dragonball Z, Generic Xianxia, Dresden Files, Worm, God of Highschool, Forgotten Realms, Injustice, DC Occult, SMT.

I think that's the maximum amount of killing power you can cram into 10 jumps. Maybe drop Generic Xianxia for Supreme Commander if you'd prefer to drown him in an army of robots.
>>
>>53235604
God of High School for biggatons
DBAF because it's even more biggatons than the other Dragonballs
Alterworld so he can't hax you to death.
Pick a Fate/ and be a servant for your own hax.
Cheese the hell out of generic xianxia
Do an exalted jump preferably one with a solaroid exaltation.
Pick your favored kill it so it stays dead perk, and go to town. You could probably forgo some of this if you'd like, but it's a good set up.

Biggatons are pointless against YHVH. You want to load yourself with hax to one-shot him, not raw strength.

Humans are boring. Demons have rock, sex and drugs. What's not to love?

Dresden Files for Sword of the Cross so that you can ignore all his defenses. Worm for Path to Victory to create the perfect strategy. Injustice sounds like it has some of the best comic books physical powers just from the descriptions in the jump. I don't know /co/ well though. It at least lets you be a Kryptonian with a lantern ring. That's got to count for something.

>>53235796
No idea. Maybe? Maybe if you buff your robots with Incantation of the Invincible Army from Infernals so they all count as powerful supernatural creatures they would.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. Thanatos learns from what it kills, instead of actually absorbing the powers or anything. Greed needs you to kill something before it can eat it, but Thanatos is still your power even if it's a projection, so it should be able to eat whatever Thanatos murders to power up.
>>
>>53236332
You can travel through the multiverse after you chain without a spark by using Infernals to leave behind akuma who have NGNL summoning and Infinity. You're stuck only moving between worlds you left an Akuma in though.

The only reason none of them fully allow it is because of this continued veneration of Quicksilver's old shit. We don't need endjumps or Sparks anymore. Why the hell are these considered important to any degree, when we've thrown out everything else?

What's your problem anyways?
Endjumps and the spark are an end. That's what it is. An end to jumping for when you decide it's time to stop playing jumpchain.
If you want to be able to go to a completely different setting while you're in a jump you'll need to stop playing jumpchain to do it.
That's the point. There's no framework at all once omniversal freeroam is permitted.

Just play a different fucking game or go full SI fanfiction at that point.
