It is nonsensical to play as a little girl in games where it wouldn't make sense and it is wrong to play nonsensically in games where it wouldn't be appropriate to do so.

Replace "X" with anything and it's equally wrong. If something can't be made to work in the campaign in-universe, it's wrong to try: it will break everything.

But if it can work, it can work.

Absolutely yes. It's one thing to play characters that don't suit the setting at all (not good) and another to try to insert your weird fetishes in places where they don't go, which in most social situations is anywhere.
