Guys I've been playing in this campaign for a few months and we all just hit level 4, but I've only just now realized something: I'm playing a monk in 5th ed. Oh and my wisdom is 13.
Have I goofed? What should I do to rectify this.

Become a grapple-lord.
>>53105677
but my DM has already thrown a yellow slime and a stone golem at us
>>53105728
Then become crossbow guy. Crossbow guy is reliable source of damage. Crossbow guy not stand out for DM bullying. Crossbow guy dutifully deal low damage each round. Is great.
I'm not sure what low level 5e monk is good for besides running and jumping.
>>53105677
but /tg/ said grappling was a meme

>implying
a gorrillion darts and he's good to go
tip with poison for extra fun
>>53105660
>5e monk
I hate to say it but pathfinder has the superior monk experience.

Crossbow guy not need poison. Crossbow guy not need gorillian feats to throw gorillion darts. Crossbow guy put feats in solid fundamental slots. Crossbow guy put crossbow bolt in bad guys face.

Maybe if this was 2nd edition. In this case I agree with crossbowman.
OP here, does monk get better?
>>53106785
If you're a level 14 Way of Long Death monk, yes. Because their main thing doesn't rely on Wis.

Have you considered asking your DM about rolling up a new character?

>you see Ivan, when rolling new character, crossbow can stay comfy back at Inn
