Twenty 5-inch guns plus sixty 40mm Bofors plus forty eight 20mm is damn near enough dakka.
Just because the Iowas are fatassed sluts with more guns then they know what to do with doesn't diminish the beautiful elegance of the NorCals. And also fuck you specifically.

Inuyasha eh?

One of the first places where I had it spelled out to me that Drawbacks could be carried over. Has a wish granting monkey paw up for grabs which is also good for boosting spiritual energy. I wanted the Jumpseiga to be more than it is, but it's all cool.

Inuyasha! Inuyasha is a pretty cool Jump made by good old stupid_dog. Dog is one of our more prolific Jumpmakers even if he's not really active in the scene anymore, and this was one of his later Jumps.

The Jump is as pretty as you can expect, and has a pretty wide array of options present. I think it's the items that people often have the most fun with though, especially stuff like Fireproofing, the Jewel Shard and Janpanseiga.

Personally interested in the Toy Transformer Perk since that sounds like loads of fun, how about you guys?

A great many perks to analyze and reproduce magic, and being a god-tier Sylph of Space in Sburb. If the universe breaks, I can fix it, and even when it's not broken, I can weave my magic in as long as it won't break something.

Wander around Feudal Japan and/or Modern Japan, fight and/or kill big ass demons, collect the Shikon Jewel Shards and figure out how to break its curse, bringing high quality demon parts to a smith like Totosai who can smith them into sick, magical swords.

Inuyasha is surprisingly focused on relationships and stuff despite its content matter, so I guess maybe playing matchmaker or going on a vacation with the waifu? I dunno.

1. Foil Naraku before he get's to his stupid high power level.
2. Time Travel via the Bone Eaters Well, or perhaps some other means, to the future to check out how all the Yokai got suddenly'd
3. Find and kill/steal/gain the powers of/etc the super evil sword
4. Be a decent guy/gal and give Kagome and Inuyasha Conciliating. Kagome needs psychiatric help for some of her actions later on and they point to an unstable personality and Inuyasha hasn't had time to deal with his grief right from losing his first lover to violence and betrayal.
5. Save the smile that matters.

Whatever you do, do not woo Kikyou. She will want to drag you down to hell with her. If you get around that, have a way to keep her body sustained if she becomes revived because she eats souls to keep herself existing iirc.

Kagome (Her reincarnation)'s not much better, as she tends to resort to violence if she's displeased.
>>

Don't all the girls resort to violence if displeased? Hers is just supposed to be the most humiliating because she's the protagonist.

The most Sango ever does is slap the shit out of Miroku for being a total lech that walks up to random (pretty) strangers and asks for them to bare his children. Arguably, that's pretty deserved.

Kagome uses Inuyasha's cursed necklace to smash his face into the ground at the slightest offense and has done stuff like push him over a bridge first just so he'd smash through it and into the river below.

Personally, I just prevented Kikyou from being resurrected.

It was pretty dramatic, actually! I'd been pretending to be a vassal to Inuyasha's father, similar to Myoga the Flea, and very rarely got involved while following him around. But when Kagome got kidnapped I took off running full-tilt and showed up ahead of schedule to blast the witch with huge amounts of fire. Freaked Kagome out.
Afterwards I had to explain why I hadn't helped fight earlier, and I had to come up with an excuse about just being a retainer, so it wasn't my place to jump into Inuyasha's battles.
I ended up taking over Kikyou's role in the plot after that, except for the relationship drama.
Inuyasha got kindof quiet when he found out some old bat had been trying to resurrect Kikyou, but in the end he agreed it was better to let the dead rest.

Hey, jumpers, have you ever accidentally shown your hand and had to explain why you weren't helping before / where you got your powers?

>>
>>53063437
Oh yeah, that would be cool. I never really liked the fact that we had just one "generic" Persona jump that doesn't even have anything to do with the individual games. Iirc you actually start after all the stories are over? Anyway, it's pretty lacking in flavour, so having jumps for each game like how it's done for exalted would be pretty neat.

If you replace a protag in one Jump and then meet that protag in another jump through a continuity Drawback, would they act like they're facing themselves or remember that you replaced them?

>>53063754
You probably like, possess them or something.

>>
>>53063783
Smash Bros. is gonna be awkward, then.
>>
>>53063754
I would assume that the protag just fills the role they had in the previous jump, which means that if they didn't exist then they still don't, and you're still the protag.

So, say you fill in for Link in Zelda, and then you go to Smash Brothers with continuity. In that event, Link does not appear, and instead you show up in Smash Brothers wearing his tunic, because you're Link.

Speaking from a Pure Heart [100]: As with Link you have the ability to have conversations with people at length in spite of the fact that you could be mute or only able to communicate through grunts and growls. This comes stems from you communicating from your Heart. This also allows you to count as 'Pure of Heart' for items and abilities that check for such things.

Minish Cap is odd but fun.

When you first acquired worshipers, what were the tenets of your cult? How did your followers show their devotion? Did you create any divine servants?
>>
>>53063194
If I'm not going to take the Jumper Kurusu drawback, would it be okay to rule that I'm not dealing with Ialdaboth as the villain but someone else, to distinguish my story from Crimeboy's? You know, some other spirit of willful ignorance or self-deception that's taking advantage of Igor's absence to run their own plot. That way I can have a cool adventure without infringing on the Phantom Thieves' IP.

The only cult I have is the one from Hatred. I don't really like being worshiped, and I have a low opinion of people that do, considering my flaws. I mean, at that point you're basically worshiping a pet cat with severe manic depression.

Anyway, the cult from Hatred is a straight up murder cult. They're all about nihilism and murder because everyone sucks and they hate everything. My tenets are, "Don't do anything unless I fucking tell you", and they still manage to cock that up a fair bit.
I mostly use them for dangerous experiment fodder with high mortality rates and suicide missions. They don't care. In fact, they're pretty happy about it.

... last time I talked about this I tried to jazz it up with some purple prose and was accused of being edgy. Which is probably true, but like. Hatred is an edgy game. Like, super edgy. Like super holy shit tryhard edgy. Have you seen Hatred?
It's actually pretty shit.
Anyway, now I've got a murder cult following me around because I used high end jumper bullshit to end the jump in like a day, and I've gotta do SOMETHING with them or they'll wander off and start doing shit by themselves, and that's no good for anybody. So yeah.
I hate them and they die a lot and they're all okay with it.
It's pretty weird.

Cool. I'm thinking maybe having the villain be Mara, with my Ultimate Persona being Maitreya to match. Not quite sure how to differentiate the tone of the story from canon's, though. Something I was considering was having the targets be people who are hurting themselves with their delusions rather than others. But then I remembered that that idea is used in P5, just as a lesser theme. There are two entire dungeons focused on that idea. I'll keep thinking of something.

>Thou shalt not commit violence, unless to protect self or others.

>Thou shalt not take my name in vain.
>Thou shalt not wake those who are not a 'morning person' before their time.

Prayer. The occasional sacrifice, mostly incense burning.

Yeah. It started with a bunch of Deva... then diversified into aspect-Kami of myself, Angels formed of white mana (chiefly Innistrad's Protector, but lesser ones too), Elementals of my essence, little Moon-Fae Gods, and mechanical Angels.

by following the tenants To Letter not their word, also our window of pilgrimage to Mecca is spending a year or three as a wandering "problem solver" which is in quotes because it is supposed to be as open-ended as possible to allow the greatest number of people to perform the greatest amount of good via whatever their personal strengths are.

Nah, but that's less because I have a problem with it and more because I can already bleed out more than most murder cults. Like, between ...
> Bleeder [Horror Movie]
> Bloody [Deadman Wonderland]
> Down With The Clown [Sburb]
> Life Gem [Skullgirls]
... I can hack off a limb and just spray infinite blood into a huge fucking vat for days on end. And that's not even getting into blood cloning, or the fridge of blood I picked up from Vampire: The Masquerade, or the bathtub full of infinite blood I picked up from Penny Dreadful -- that I stuck a lid overtop of with a suction device so it can just draw out huge amounts of blood whenever I need it. I'm seriously good on blood.

I'd sooner throw their souls in the Devil's Manor from Actraiser to power it. Because, I mean, these are not good people. But after the first couple jumps, you really get diminishing returns on that, because it's a cult, not an army.

Although, sometimes when I don't have anything better to do with them, I turn them into stuff. You know, cute fuzzy animals, mimigas, super mutants, that kinda thing. Whatever you want for background characters. Throw on some cybernetic aggression inhibitors or even a brain rewrite and you're golden.
... I feel like this is really jamming up against callous evil minion disposal, but I really just cannot emphasize how little I care for these people. They're like the followers from Luther Strode, except without the excuse of getting stronger. Bad eggs all around.

Whoa whoa whoa, Bancho, are you hearing yourself? "Using the methods of evil"? That makes you evil! Look, paying evil unto evil is one thing, even if I don't think particularly like it, but if you use the methods of evil, that makes you evil! You know the whole "He who fights monsters" thing? The part where it says "beware becoming a monster yourself", essentially? With that one commandment, you're essentially saying "it's okay to become a monster yourself if it means killing monsters", which is not a good thing.

That probably depends on the circumstances, what you want out of companions, and what kind of issues your willing to deal with.

>>53065189

I'd personally consider Sion most of a powergamer option than Arc.

Arc can't use her full power while still remaining helpful. Meanwhile Dust of Osiris a hypothetical future version of Sion can do nonsense like create full powered clones of people from the memory of the world, manipulate events including replaying the past of an area,
create super robots powered by FMA-like philosopher stones, and set up rituals to copy and paste reality warping over an entire planet using previously mentioned super robot.

Do to how nasuverse magic potential works this means Sion is capable of doing all of that without giving her any upgrades.

Then again considering that you can get her for 300 cp if your willing to deal with stupid meta nonsense do to how stupidly nonsensical the canon companion purchases are it would be kind of a waste to use it for her if you want a more expensive character.

On a side note I really hate how the canon companion stuff is set up for the Tsukihime jump.

I used the powers from Generic Creepypasta to great effect in ASOIAF. I needed to get around quickly, and the best way to do that was having all my followers attempt to summon me each night.

Perform the ritual each night, after the sun sets.
Do not call upon Jumper for an unrighteous cause.

>Anyone who asks you for your soul, for nothing in return, is a scammer.

> That does kind of basically remove most of their potential use as alchemy fuel.
The truth is, I'd already invested heavily in mass production and minions before Hatred was even a twinkle in a jumpmaker's eye. And that includes stuff like cloning.
So in terms of both manpower and resources, the murder cult is really just superfluous and annoyingly volatile. So trying to find a use for them for that's not just a huge waste of resources is a real problem for me.
Because I hate just wasting resources. There's a part of me that keeps thinking, "There MUST be SOMETHING I can use them for!", but so far no dice.

> I assumed your Truth would yell at you
Nah, I'm sure they wouldn't care. And, really, I probably wouldn't care either, but the Sanguine Star does basically everything the Philosopher's Stone does, so even that's more of a novelty, y'know? As is, I really get more out of just using them for experiments and truly disposable minions.

... because, I admit, even though I have a LOT of minions, I feel really bad when they get hurt. I try to avoid it. But with the murder cult I don't have to. So that's... nice?

> how did Molly react?
Oh, y'know, Molly's Molly. At the end of the day, he's always Malefor. He made some smug derisive comments about me really showing my true villainous colours, and then he stopped caring. I don't think he thinks much of them, either.

>If you replace a protag in one Jump and then meet that protag in another jump through a continuity Drawback, would they act like they're facing themselves or remember that you replaced them?

depends on how you interpret alt forms and continuities.

My personal approach is that taking two jumps to the same property (such as Sailor Moon via Nika's jump and again via Generic Magical Girl) is a matter of parallel dimensions within the same local multiverse (think Rick and Morty, many dimensions within the same jump)

So, you could potentially appear before someone, wearing the form of the other dimension's version of themselves. or if you wanted to avoid it I'd imagine that alt forms would allow you to appear as some other form of yourself (unless, I suppose all your alts look like That Guy.)

With other additional, smaller rules. My followers show their devotion by spreading my word, offering prayers and faith to me, and following my commandments. What I'm asking though is what is the setting's general power level? Is it like LOTR but with more magic spam and competent armies? Or is it full on Anime Fantasy where the main characters can destroy everyone they fight against?

Overlord the LN/Anime/Manga question. Exactly how dangerous could a Rogue/Sorcerous Swordsman with realm of heroes + Level 100 + Divine tier equipment with the drop-in background be to a wizard like Momoga? I have trouble gauging exactly what kind of danger I would pose with this.

You definitely could defeat Momoga singlehandedly. having realm of heroes + Level 100 + Divine tier equipment makes you probably the strongest being in setting, except for Rubedo. The only way to make yourself even more OP would be for you to also be a Heteromorophic race with World Champion.

As it stands now it probably would take Nazarick to have four on one odds against you to win.

But they will horribly gang up on you if you kill or hurt Momoga, so keep that in mind.

Magic can be very powerful, especially in the hands of a Named who has related aspects. Demons are bad news, as they have an insanity aura and reality warping field. The Named generally have super strength and vitality, in addition to whatever bullshit Aspects they have. Goblinfire is basically not-wildfire. Other than that, it's basically LOTR, but with medieval artillery goblin engineers and mages for backup. Oh, and angels and fucking fae.
>>
>>53069518
>and angels and fucking fae
LoTR has those.

Yeah, but the fae aren't bullshit conceptual assholes from outside realspace, and angels don't empower heroes and give them swords or wipe out cities.

Oh my. I mean the only reason I asked was because there's a good chance I would end up fighting him. Personally I tried to specc for pure dodge tanking and crit damage output. And sorcerous swordsman is to always have a damage type an opponent is weak or at least neutral to. With maybe an ability tied to being able to have at least one guarenteed dodge or something like that

And I have a companion/Custom NPC with legendary equipment but also a world item and a full mage/spell caster list with every possible boost to magic and is also a Demon race.

I might end up taking one more drawback to at least be able to take a world item to boost my base speed further.
>>
>>53069518
Is the magic generally RPG type stuff with Necromancy, healing, and blasty spells or what?
>>
>>53069580
>wipe out cities.

Well not so much wipe out as horribly mind rape all of the people inside and outside to weapons for their use.

But yeah all the supernatural entities in A Practical Guide to Evil are kind of pricks. And a lot of the Named come to think of it. Though moreso on the side of Evil then Good, with the resident edge lord William being an exception.

Its up to a Jumper to be a sole exception to all the douchbagery and be a nice guy/girl so that Catherine has actual doubts when fighting Good after meeting you.
>>
>>53069667
Depends on which side your own. The Evil side uses the dark magics such as Necromancy and blood sacrifice rituals while the Good side has healing and Resurrection.

Both sides magicians are capable of exploding shit with magic but the Evil side has a leg up on that because they have replaced their archers with exploding magic. Their main fighting strategy is basically forming a Roman Legion style shield wall and just using the mages to kill everyone while the shield wall stops any assaults on them.

It's a pretty effective strategy.

(Weee I still know nothing)

Well here we are another age of war and expansion. I found it all meaningless really. Maybe I’m just tired. I would have been a social general but my family name was shit so I was overlooked for such a position.

Instead of going to war myself I spent my time “rediscovering” or rather reinventing the lost tech of previous ages and selling them to the government. I built up quite an economic empire and actually was named social general despite my family. This drove those that were working against me crazy as subtle attacks became overt. However I managed to survive everything thrown at me (Being immune to fire and nonmagical metal will do that)

I was forced to strike back against the houses that had been targeting me. I used a force far greater than any mech though. I used technopathy to drain all of their financial accounts leaving them all bankrupt. As the new largest house of Lyran Commonwealth I used my new political sway to push for a more peaceful foreign policy. Instead of conquest we switched to selling weapons and arms to everyone else… I really don’t like people being hurt, us switching to arms dealing really wasn’t an ideal solution but it was the best I could do. We also sold medical, transport and communication technologies which hopefully saved some lives.

Don't forget Ainz has multiple 100s with him. If he feels threatened he won't hold back. He's great at scry & die & lastly he has several World Items. So going up against Ainz is a bad idea.

What you really need to do is curb some the excess that Ainz & Nazzrick does. Ainz killed bunch of conscripts to prove a point. He allowed several workers to die, to set a plan in motion that gave him basic control of the Empire.

He needs a positive karma person by his side. Help him create a better world without having to create a massive body count to do so.

Hell he might if you're charismatic enough, make you the guild leader. Ainz is ultimately weak willed, & only thing that he has going for him is the fact he's lucky but he has Salaryman experience. So he's known to never throw in the towel from outside sources.
>>

It's mostly personal plot reasons I ended up going against him in the first place. On request of a despirate lizardbro companion who needed help protecting a village that just so happens to be the same one about to get wiped out by team Nazrick. So at best there will be some interference. I dunno how a high end rogue has against scry and die. But the jump doc explicitly mentions rouges having anti-scry on at higher levels. And I did spec around dodge tanking and not being seen due to fast.
>>
>>53070221
That lizard priestess is disturbingly cute desu
>>
>>53070188
Yeah, but someone who was actually good at scrying would be able to be thorough with fewer spells. It sounds like he doesn't even know scrying magic, too, if he needed to use scrolls to cast them. So he's wasting resources to do something he's bad at, and overdoing it because he's paranoid. That doesn't sound like he's good at scry-and-die at all.
>>
>>53070242
It's not just about being efficient with spells/mana, it's about not letting the other guy know you're scrying. If they know, they can hit you right back, which would be counterproductive.

I wasn't talking about his image. He was talking about the lizardmen that Ainz genocides and enslaves. They have one priestess who is adorable.
>>
>>53070274
And the more spells you cast, the more opportunities they have to find you out. You're not doing a good job of convincing me he's good at this.
>>
>>53070242
He didnt need to use them but that is his standard practice, be mega over prepared. Plus he has literal mountains of scrolls.
>>
>>53070311
That is not how it works, he uses a bunch of protective spells to guard against every possible possibility to be counteracted.
>>
>>53070311
No, what he does is the equivalent of using satellite imagery to narrow down where the enemy is, then using a concentrated burst of something to figure out their exact location before hitting them with a strike missile.

You can cast spells that don't raise alarm to be more sure of your information before you strike.
>>
>>53069925
Even without knowing much of anything, you'd potentially have done some good with that clout. Canoically, that era is not kind to the Lyrans.

The Era is the Dark Age because the main form of interstellar communication is not working right. Something is interfering with the hyperspatial band that it uses and preventing most of the nodes from working, mostly destroying them when people try.

Interestingly, part of the Lyrans dire straights was due to heavy investment in the organization that runs them, while it was working on fixing them. The other part was attempting to use one of the warrior race Clans as an attack dog, and then yanking its chain. They turned and the lyrans got bitten badly. and then they lost even more of their realm to one of the rival clans.
>>
>>53070337
That's exactly how it works. Even if you have protection against being noticed, the more time you spend scrying the more time your enemy has to notice something through your screens and backtrace you. It's like saying "I have camouflageso I can spend as much time as I want hiding next to my enemy with no risk of being spotted.
>>
>>53070311
If you always act like your enemy is a major threat you will not be surprised if they actually turn out to be one.
>>
>>53070393
And part of treating your enemy like a major threat is spending as little time vulnerable to them as possible.
>>
>>53070388
Thats why the first scroll they burn is protection from scrying, seriously do you expect to just have 1 spell do literally everything?
>>
How specific can a Kami's Symbolic Link to a location be? Like, does it have to be something like "Forest" or "Plain" or can it get hyper-focused like "THIS CITY IN PARTICULAR" or even "THIS FUCKING BENCH RIGHT HERE"?
>>
>>53070424
Who said he was vulnerable? You seem to think hes doing everything out in the open. He is not. His best tool for scrying is in the heart of the guild, an npc named negrido.
>>

>>53070424
What are you even talking about? Just blindly jumping into your enemies stronghold with no planning? Yeah great idea, such power, much wizard.
>>
>>53070434
You're so not getting it. Even if you have protection against scrying, you want to minimize the time you're scrying and can be backtraced.

>>53070460
I don't think he's out in the open. But if there's a chance of his scrying be traced and him being counter scry-and-die'd, then that's a vulnerability. One he's covering, but still a risk.
>>
>>53070486
She is, albedo does not particularly like her sister, she is a bit unstable because her maker wanted her to be super creepy, rocking the cradle of a baby doll in a room of ghost babies. She has no skin on her face iirc.
>>
>>53070059
>He's great at scry & die

Does he ever do this in the actual series. And if so why didn't he use this tactic on Shalltear?
>>
>>53070489
No, I'm talking about taking the minimum amount of time needed to do your information gathering, instead of letting your paranoia keep you at it so long that you put yourself at risk of being found out.
>>
>>53070496
That is why he just burns piles of scrolls instead of casting spells, you can use scrols simply by saying the name and bam, its cast. Either way his first spell is protection against exactly what you describe.
>>
What's all going on in the Midwest during Fallout 3? I don't remember any games set there.
>>
>>53070513
He did. He specifically used it, but the people who got shalltear were already dead. He could examine her, see her location, but she was basically a stationary puppet till an outside force acted on her.
>>
>>53070547
Caesar's Legion, i believe. There's also some brotherhood around, but i haven't played those games so idk much
>>
>>53070539
So the spell mind controls your enemy into being an idiot about their own anti-scrying defenses? Because that's the only way to actually protect against what I'm describing.
>>
>>53070510
All true, but Negrido is also one of the most moral characters in Nazarick. She absolutely cannot stand the idea of anyone hurting children. She and one other member of Nazarick who I can't recall the name of actually disobeyed Ainz directly and tried to free some captured prisoners because he was going to execute all of them, including the children.

He eventually sets the two up as the heads of a war orphanage with the goal of teaching said children not to hate heteromorphic races.

That's not at all what I'm saying. I'm saying that if you're really treating your enemy like a threat, then you have to assume that they can sense and counter your anti-scrying magic. You can counter anti-scrying, after all, that's how you're getting through their defenses. Therefore, unless you have a spell that makes them never think to do so, you should limit the time you spend scrying on them to reduce the chances they'll notice, backtrace you, and counter-scry-and-die your ass.
>>
>>53070666
Highschool of the dead and generic post apocalypse have perks that can do that.

Ones a dumb zombie setting, the other is literally any post-apocalypse that you want.
>>
So has anyone actually done something like Inspector Gadget to themselves?
>>
>>53070690
They're gigantic hypocrites who are splintered along ideals due to authorial fiat and plot-based nonsense.

Not to mention that the further west you go, the more likely the BoS is to murder you for your shinies.
>>
>>53070577
In Yggdrasil a lot of players had anti-scry effects going on. Which is why using scrolls was warranted. There's spells that would do serious damage or kill the scryer. Also there's counter scrying, by knowing who's scrying, therefore able to scry the scyer, then strike.

Ainz basically burns through piles of scrolls because that's the thing you do. You basically protect yourself against counters.

Its all explained in the LN.
>>
>>53070703
You mean, like, build an Inspector Gadget who would foil your own schemes in humorous ways?
>>
>>53070697
>you have to assume that they can sense and counter your anti-scrying magic
Specifically blocked via spell, besides you are ascribing powers which may or may not even exist to others leaving out that the spells he uses specifically block magical detection.

>You can counter anti-scrying, after all, that's how you're getting through their defenses.

No you are using lots of spells to try and go around them, if it doesnt work you use bait to draw them out, ainz explains this.

>Therefore, unless you have a spell that makes them never think to do so, you should limit the time you spend scrying on them to reduce the chances they'll notice, backtrace you, and counter-scry-and-die your ass.

That is idiotic, you are literally saying you should not get info because it takes time to do. You are advocating being unprepared which is fankly just stupid.
>>
>>53070720
Did you really watch the intro? This is a different Brotherhood faction. A splinter faction that wants to work more with the people.
In fact, depending on your choices in game, you could end up with a Brotherhood that takes in Super Mutant and intelligent Deathclaw as members.
>>
>>53070611
Hellsing has missions for each origin that gives them +400 CP on completion, Drop-Ins get it by default.
>>
>>53070723
I'm not objecting to him using scrolls, that's an acceptable resource expenditure. What isn't an acceptable expenditure is all the time he's wasting on this. The more time he spends scrying, the higher the chances someone will defeat his protections. When gathering information you want to be in and out as fast as possible.

>>53070749
>That is idiotic, you are literally saying you should not get info because it takes time to do. You are advocating being unprepared which is fankly just stupid.

>The scrying should work this way
You don't know how all the intricacies of the Yggrasil metagame.

Ainz is familiar with the meta.

We should therefore assume that, despite how you think it SHOULD work, what Ainz was doing would have been the correct way to scry and die in the game.
>>
>>53070771
I dont think you understand what protections are, they are there to stop exactly that. "Just be more faster" by not using those protections is retarded.
>>
>>53070756
Nono, that's my point. Every instance of the BoS is 'a splinter faction that wants to work with the people.' That's why I dislike them.

D.C. BoS? Working with the people
Tictacs BoS? Working with the people

Commonwealth BoS? Assholes, except they're the D.C. BoS?
TicTacs BoS before the seperation? Assholes
Vegas BoS? Assholes

You see the problem here? They're too splintered to actually make a difference. All they're good for is being irritating on a personal level.
>>
>>53070798
I never said to not use the protections. You set those up before scrying. Then you cast the scrying spell and work fast. The problem is that Ainz is spending more time scrying than he needs to. This isn't a complicated concept, I don't get why you're arguing. At this point you're outright ignoring what I'm saying to put words in my mouth. I think you might just want an argument.

>>
>>53070841

>>
>>53070836
Because you are saying he is doing something stupid because he is overprepared, your not complicated cobcept is flat out stupid.
>>
>>53070771
Its not about how fast but how accurate & how to protect yourself against being countered.

Just because you know that a lot of the tactics used is worthless didn't mean that they do. Ainz is super paranoid, it served him well playing the game. He's translating it to the New World.

>>53070836
He didn't really spend hours scrying. It was a few minutes at most.
>>
>>53070678
Sadly, despite the plot having started roughly 14 years ago, we still don't know WHY the comms are out exactly. The people who run the game are somewhere between idiots, lazy and or corrupt, so the plot hasn't moved much in years.

You could probably either save or replace Comstar, the beleaguered group who usually runs that stuff too.
>>
>>53070784
>>53070840

And if the good ending doesn't happen? Or if the good ending is less 'they lived happily ever after?'
>>
>>53070869
I never said being overprepared was the problem. Okay, I'm convinced, now. You just want an argument. There's no other reason to build so many strawmen.
>>
>>53070836
Because he is prepared and using proven methods, just because you do not understand does not mean he is wrong it just means you do not know the meta, you should try reading the books because he explains it.
>>
>>53070899
There is no meta. This is not a game anymore, the NPCs have no obligation to act according to the rules players do.
>>
>>53070895
And how does this ending even work with the actual canon existence of Ceaser's legion?!
>>
>>53070898
Im strawmanning? You are the one saying he is wrong to be prepared because you do not undersyand how things work. You are the one saying you are right and the person who has done this for years at a pro level is wrong. You are just being stubborn about being wrong.
>>
>>53070920
Except that all their in game skills, items, and abilities still work and their in game settings are now real, and all the game stuff is now real.

Yeah no they have good reason to act like they do in game.
>>
>>53070920
>There is no meta
There is quite a lot of meta actually, Ainz is a pro player using his skills which are frankly godlike in the new world. Preparing for others like himself just makes sense especially when others like him are likely to be using the same magic as in game.
>>
>>53070920
I am convinced you are just too stupid and wish to ignore the setting for your own wanking so whatever.
>>

>>
>>53070969

>>
>>53070895
>And if the good ending doesn't happen?
That's your choice.

>Or if the good ending is less 'they lived happily ever after?'
Well then war never changes.
The bigger example is that the Brotherhood can be a force of change. Good or bad really.
It was because of their Trial that the Vault Dweller got the best armor in the game.
It was them that helped setup the creation of the NCR.
It was them that took back the water purifier in DC.
They are small, but that can still be a major force.

And FYI, everyone is an asshole in Fallout.

>>53070922
Ceaser's legion has only done outskirts into the area.
Bethesda has declared Tactics semi-cannon to non-cannon. If we go by there rulings, there technically shouldn't be a midwest roll option in the jump.

Personally, I don't think Bethesda quite gets Fallout all that much. Ass shown with the brotherhood actually. They made them goody goods in F3, when fans got upset with that, they tried to fix it in F4 by overcompensating in the other direction and gave them a super dickish leader.

Holy Fuck… So this was hell…. Somehow everything had gone wrong, I was cut off from my companions and my warehouse I was in marvel but the bad guys had won and now everything was basically screwed. Oh and I couldn’t raise the dead because of a problem in Asgard.

So I went around creating new heroes like crazy to replace the old ones using technology and magic to start to put out the fires. (I even created my first magical girls… well using technology really, more like Kamen rider) We managed to fight back some of the warlords.

I then went to Latveria I needed help and even if the Kree had taken over I was sure the person I was looking for was still around somewhere. I managed to catch the Kree by surprise and sent them packing turning their equipment against them. I freed Captain marvel and recruited him and then found who I was looking for. Doom had been biding his time but he agreed to help me fix the world.

I managed to start a war between the sentinels and Surtur and a group of fire giants letting them chase me in to sentinel controlled space. I was amazed the Sentinels put up a good fight but Surtur is Surtur. Which left me a very pissed off god to deal with well I moved too fast for him to hit and unloaded a full power scream in his ear. I intended to knock him out but accidently killed him. I actually feel horrible about that.

I then went to the after-life and put up my life in a gamble if I could make Hela cry. I sang and by the end she was openly weeping, reluctantly she agreed to let ME revive people (and only me).

Everything was looking better then came Galactus…

We fought his heralds who were stupidly powerful, then to fight him I just offered to send him to a dimension that was made of the stuff he ate (using knowledge of the series) I had Doom open a door to the negative zone and Galactus left to feed.

After that I had to do a bunch of the same things over again, but with more help this time. I really need a vacation

>>
>>53071787
Well honestly, your main issue is _all of those are literally boring as shit_.

Complete Arsenal's the only power out of the set that isn't bland and one-note. Everything else is just... absolutely DULL.
>>
>>53071569
>using emo "muh regrets" "muh selficide to escape da PAIN" EMIYA as the pic for that post
>>
>>53071787
Enhanced Mastery is good but there are plenty of learning rate perks out there; I would suggest replacing it with Soft Physics or another harder to find, more interesting, and/or more powerful power.
>>
>>53071725
Could be like a ssj2. They're so powerful that it's putting off bio electrical charges, but the energy is still just energy.
>>
>>53071785
Why does Gil have four arms?
>>
>>53071880
He went to Teen Titans ages ago. Raven is his sister, and a companion.

But sure, Pacific Rim is accepted.

>>53071910
It's Sol Invictus, from Exalted. But yes, he does look like Gil.
>>
>>53071923
...we must introduce them.
>>
>>53071650
Crocodiles aren't reptiles? Seriously?
>>
>>53071931
They are nothing alike beyond looks. Though I imagine Gil would be the arrogant cunt he is, and Sol would just ignore him.
>>
>>53071931
Actually Conky is basically everything Gil claims to be.
>>
>>53071969
Thats kinda why I want to do it.
>>
>>53071948
They are not. Crocodiles, alligators, and relatives are all archosaurs. That means their closest relatives are dinosaurs and birds, The archosaur lineage split from reptiles a very, very long time ago. After synapsids, though, so they're all more related to modern reptiles than we are.

That said, there's a lot of disagreement over what to call a reptile, cladistically. Essentially, we have to decide if the early reptiles, from before Synapsids and Archosaurs split, are reptiles, in which care all of the mentioned groups are reptiles, or if only modern reptiles and their extinct relatives would be reptiles, in which case we must invent a new term for these basal pre-split reptiles.
>>
>>53071923
Do you have a pastebin of your whole chain?
>>
>>53072013
Nope. Too lazy for that. I just keep a notepad file, and a separate notepad with any writefagging I've done.
>>
>>53071997
By the way, this issue also applies to fish. For example, if both sharks and bony fish are to be called fish, then by necessity all descendents of bony fish must be classified as fish because of how basal the term would be.

Meaning that you would be classified as a fish.
>>
>>53072055
You should this character's pretty interesting.

The Plaything of Your Betters+300- Did somebody say "Tear down the Gods and their designs"? Because that's what I heard. "YEAH! RIP em down~! It'll be fun!" "Don't encourage him Ilya." Quiet Raven. "Yeah! Go back to kissing -" "Say one more word, I dare you"
To Live In Interesting Times+200- I see no difference.
The Nail That Sticks Up+200- Why would I want to go unnoticed? "Subtlety?" Is that a fruit?

And so begins Tiger's mission to throw down the Gods, beat the shit out of anyone who tries to use him as a pawn, and crown himself as King of the Heavens, with Ammy as his Queen.

Crawling With Love

(Decided to start a new chain, since the Old One wasn't going anywhere and it seems to be what the cool kids are doing)

Started out in Lovecraft county with my assistant, a Shoggoth whom I had befriended some odd years ago during one of my globe-trotting adventures in China. (Her true name is incomprehensible gibberish, so we decided to use the name "Suyin" or "Sue" for simplicity.) We quickly got embroiled in another mystery, only this one had further reaching consequences than we were used to.

It all started with a murder investigation in Boston. Three bodies were found brutally mutilated in an alleyway, and evidence at the scene (dirt, bite marks on the bodies, and the brutality of the deaths) clued me in to the perpetrators: ghouls. The two of us went to the local cemetery, where we dispatched the cannibals, Suyin using her shoggoth form and I my Colt to make quick work of them. Afterwards, we found our next clue; a sheet of paper that the ghouls had kept with instructions telling them to commit murders as a smoke screen for another operation.

After Suyin disposed of the bodies, we made our way to the part of the city where the misdeed was to take place, an area down by the docks. There we found a group of Deep Ones dragging a heavy stone sarcophagus out of the water, with the aid of some human cultists. They were no challenge for Suyin, however we were now left with a big stone coffin and no idea what to do next.

Enlisting the aid of some friends of mine on the local PD, we managed to get the thing to a safe place. Further examination of the sarcophagus revealed that it was covered in faint writing in a few languages, mostly dead ones. When we found someone who could read the text, they said that it was a prayer to Dagon.

Start in Legend of Spyro. I don't think you can be Spyro (since you can only grab three elements and the Aethers at max, where as Spyro had four), but you can at least recruit him. Also, you should stop by Shadow Realm, they have some pretty cool dragons (p;us the reaction to you would be interesting. I imagine quite a few people will be worried about Spyro being the start of a new Dragon clan, though Dark Magician might try diplomacy given he just fought a war against dragons and likely doesn't want to fight another one).

Eh someone did a 'challenge' then helped me figure out how to be Spyro in it and still have it make sense.

In that case I should just wait till after DC Occult and do the dimension lord thing to have my own pocket dimension full of dragons :P

...Looking at WoW jump rules though trying to get dragon companions seems really hard sense it limits the race to your faction or canon import. But I want one each dragon flight :(

(Luckily, the text did not contain any cosmic truths, nor was it carved in a "non-Euclidean" manner so they were not driven insane.)

Anyways, one thing lead to another, we were led on a merry chase around the world, fought a couple cults and abominations, halted a few plans to make the stars right or to summon one Outer God or another, and learned a few things about friendship and the cosmos along the way.

So WoW jump companion option says I can create new companions, but they have to be the same faction as the race I choose. ...Can I ignore this and just get a dragon from each Flight as a companion? Or maybe have their 'race' be their default choice for shape shifting and still be a dragon? Either this or spend absurd amounts of CP to take the Canon Companion option 5 times. :(

YJ-Anon! I've been wondering something. Is the Power Combinations, from your YJ Jump, limited to the singular choice of one three part combo or is it fluid, allowing for the taker to shift what's being combo'd? If the former okay then, but it the later.... how is that not OTB? I mean it would gain greater and greater diversity as you moved forward and gained new powers, not even getting into other Jumps just the kinds of things a Jumper with Amazo Back Up Memory can do with Power Combinations is insane on its own.

My benefactor, the asshole that she is, decided to turn me into a girl so I could "blend in", forcing me out of the horrors of a world where humanity isn't even a footnote to the horrors of a world where I have girl parts. Luckily I have background memories to help me deal with it, but it's still weird.

I ended up joining the music club, as did Suyin, so that was fun. I was never really interested in music growing up (although I've started to listen to it a lot more in the past few years), so having the opportunity to make music was interesting. I'd imagine I'm the back up or something, though.

A good portion of my time was managing the shenanigans that Suyin got up to; fortunately my purchases from Lovecraft helped me manage my schoolwork much easier, in addition to the added experience of going through high school for the third time.

Tentacle-ing was kept to a minimum.

Afterwards, we went off to college, and then it was a few more years of work before it was time to say goodbye.

It doesn't do anything on it's own.

If it plays well with other perks you have then it might be the best for you, but there's a lot of other things in the jump that could be considered better easily.
Like the perk that shuts down all attempts to copy your shit ever, or the perk that makes it so that nobody can take your powers away from you, or even any other power you don't already have an equivalent for yet could be the "best" choice at the moment.
I've passed it by on a few chains and didn't feel bad about it.

There are plenty of other perks in the jump it works with.

It really isn't. Hell, it doesn't even make new powers, it just allows you to better use them in tandem/without (as much) conscious activation. It doesn't really add anything that wasn't already there, and could easily be replicated with a decent multitasking perk and some experience. It's like a broader contingency spell, basically, except you still have to consciously activate /something/. Honestly, with all the restrictions, it almost leans towards the other direction of "hardly worth it at all".

>>
>>53074321
Well, I mean, the jump itself says this.

>Power Combinations: Mastery of your powers has allowed you to use them together and even combine them seamlessly, as long as you follow their basic rules.

So, as long as you "follow their basic rules", which would presumably include incantations, resources, specific mechanics of the perk, etc. Maybe he said that, but it doesn't seem allowable within the current guidelines. Something more like imbuing firebending with AK seems more appropriate.
>>
>>53074374
So make it not take capstone prices to get. Why does this origin only get a single 600cp perk that's not worth more then 200cp at most?

It's not cool or creative either, since if it's as you say, it's telling you that you can do something you can already do.

Because that origin get discounts on all the powers friendo.
And it does do more than you can already do. It lets you combine up to three powers to a degree. It's not "just" what you could always do, but they do still have to follow the rules they had before. Like applying a fire power to the ability to turn intangible could make you napalm ghostman instead of having to set yourself on fire specifically in your bodyshape while also being ephermal.

I jumped into the conversation you were already having to call you out on bitching for no reason over a perk that's been fondly regarded for some time now.

Missed the point. I didn't say why it only had one. I asked why it only had a 200cp perk for it's thing.

So you are now changing your view on the perk and saying it is more then just experience and multitasking. Really hurts your argument when you do that.

But let's go with that. What's the degree you can combine things too. You seem to be aware of what the 'basic rules' in the perk means.

Pretty sure that's more referring to things like Charms still needing to draw on Essence, or Worm powers still being weak to conceptual effects, or transfiguration in Harry Potter not being able to make permanent food rather than any innate quality that would prevent you from using them together. Basically, you can use them in tandem; but each power will still have to pull its full weight, not that you can't compensate for such weaknesses with savvy combining. It's just that they don't inherently go away just by fusing two abilities with separate weaknesses.

So things like range, number of targets, power/strength, rate of fire, cooldown and so on don't count as rules but needing a specific sort of energy or having a weakness to a certain type of thing or not being able to do something do.

That makes perfect sense.
>>
>>53074524
You're not going to be able to make sense with this argument anon. 'Basic rules' is just too vague for anyone but YJ to say what it means, as everything else will be filled with logic holes unless you go with the idea you can't change anything, but that's also stupid. What I'm saying is this argument is stupid and won't go anywhere so we should all find something else to do because otherwise both sides will argue in circles endlessly.
>>
>>53074158
I'm >>53074144 and >>53073950 thanks for answering and I guess that's the best that I can hope for.

>>53074289
Not really. it basically upgrades all purchases in the setting because of the combos you can make, things you even get for free are capable of gaining more mileage out it.

>>53074310
I mean leaving a trail of ice as you run and having tele-bombs from elemental powers and super speed/teleportation are the examples given.

>>53074380
As long as you had a singing based superpower that delivered itself through the song then AK as a Song of Death would be a thing.

>>53074516
I wasn't bitching. I came in wanting to know about something, which YJ told me, I inquired further about how it balanced and folks have taken it as an attack on the Jumpmaker for some reason.

>>53074524
So, the post that got me wondering if it was a one off or not was http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/52976031/#52982736
>>
>>53074552
>rate of fire, cooldown
And things like spell slots and cooldown. Though honestly, even though I only listed three examples, I implied more. Are you trolling? Like, really?

Also, yeah. This >>53074563 . This argument's just for the sake of arguing at this point. Peace, niggas.
>>
>>53074568
>attack on the jump maker
Yup. If it's an even slightly popular jumpmaker and you're not sucking them off or at least being neutral with a lean to supportive, you'll be decried as the shitposter.
>>
>>53074568
You're attacking the jump and their builds.
>>
>>53074579
You're doing a good job of confirming that you're just the shitposter here.
>>
>>53074589
See? Taking a negative opinion of something, whether it's a maker or the thread's attitude on something, get's you called a shit poster.
>>
>>53074568
Calling something OTB is an insult.
I really don't know how else you expected this to go.
>>
>>53074608
You cannot be serious.
>>
>>53074568
>I mean leaving a trail of ice as you run and having tele-bombs from elemental powers and super speed/teleportation are the examples given.
Well, theoretically, that all sounds like stuff you should be able to do with enough training (if you had the relevant powers to begin with). Where it might edge out such mental perks, is that you can maybe alter the vector of each power and have them go off together instantaneously rather than just "as fast as you can think of using the other power".
>>
>>53074621
It's a direct accusation that their jump is bad, stupid.
>>
>>53074621
I'm being serious that calling something OTB and then questioning why the perk even exists is going to get people mad at you.

Some people have fragile egos.
Not YJ in this case, but rather people who like the perk will take offence to the matter on his behalf since you're basically saying he fucked up and the jump is bad.
>>
>>53074621
Can you? I mean, unless you're not from around here, you should know that accusations of "OTB" are generally meant as a bad thing.
>>
>>53074644
>you're basically saying he fucked up and the jump is bad.
So I guess you're one of these guys with fragile egos.
>>
>>53074649
And bad thing does not mean insult and hatred forever you twit. It's a criticism. it might not necessarily be a valid one or a good one but if you treat it as nothing but an insult for the sake of an insult, you are literally shit posting.

>>
>>53074579
I don't agree with what you're saying but I'm okay with having a difference of opinions, anon.

>>53074583
In what way? I merely pointed out that a perk was, because of it's greater potential and value, in my opinion OTB, I then went on to ask how it was not such a thing.

>>53074608
How is something being OTB an insult? It may be anything from a design flaw to a error in convenience to even the perk being read wrong, which is why I asked for clarifications.

>>53074624
I think it's the Tele-fragging thing that get's me. A teleportation superpower and elemental powers has the teleport leaving an explosion of whatever element behind.

To quote:
>This could be as simple as leaving a trail of ice with your super speed or as complex as discharging a wave of electricity and heat with every teleport.

>>53074649
Again which is why I asked for clarifications.
>>
>>53074676
Lots of fragile egos around here friend. Lots of knightly sorts who seem to feel they need to protect YJ_Anon's honour when he's not around.
>>
>>53074685
But he was around and I spoke with him.
>>
>>53074676
>In what way?
You said his jump was shit and poorly done. You suggested that such a perk should be removed and ruin people's builds.
>>
>>53074690
And then he went to bed, yet here you see guys still attacking you for it despite the fact that you've been quite polite about it.
>>
>>53074703
Polite insults are still insults, polite suggestions of removal/nerf are still suggestions of removal/nerf.
>>
>>53074676
OTB doesn't mean it's the something that you think is the best perk.
OTB means that it's something that every person playing this game will always pick everytime regardless of previous builds because they'd need to have brain damage not to do it.

It's like saying the rest of the jump might as well not exist.
>>
>>53074711
Only an insult if you get buttblasted over someone questioning the jump. How on earth did you get through school?

>>53074723
Anon's personal definition I see. Would you like to give your counterpart a chance to say what he sees OTB as meaning or is that badwrongbad and he must be shat upon?
>>
>>53074676
Honestly calling something an OTB doesn't have to be an insult on it's own, but the part where you were trying to get the perk removed was what activated a bunch of almonds.

If that wasn't and someone hijacked your question then I owe you an apology for jumping the gun on the matter.
It's just that setting up a question about an old jump and then trying to get it nerfed and changed into oblivion has been a shitpost tactic before.
>>
>>53074735
And here we see one of the many consequences of The Shitposter being some widespread idea. Honest questions instantly being shot down as just another scheme by the Satan of JC
>>
>>53074738
It's like 9/11. Some asshat ruined airport security for everyone and now you can't even bring toothpaste on a plane.
>>
>>53074741
No, it's like 9/11 if 9/11 only happened in a movie yet half the nation still believed it was real and acted as if it was.

More like one of the consequences of there being a shitposter.
Although actually I don't think scatovore's been around lately. Just a bunch of imitators who don't know how to do it right.
It's been different than the usual. Nobody has called Red a tranny for months and there's a lot less vitriol than before.

Maybe times have just changed, but it feels different than before.

He's been around since thread 18 give or take.
>>
>>53074698
I did no such thing. I said that Power Combination was the best thing in the Jump. I spoke with YJ about the reasoning for his balance choices, albeit briefly. I accepted YJ explanation as he gave it, because he's the Jumpmaker and therefore the final abitrator of such things as internal balance, my opinion aside. However I didn't say what you just accused me of sirma'am.

>>53074703
I see that.

>>53074711
I'm entitled to my right to get an answer from the Jumpmaker. aren't I?

>>53074723
Not really, though I guess that could be a personal interpretation as OTB may mean different things to differnt people.

I can't really find anywhere where I suggest that the perk removed, though I do say that it is the best perk but that's more of an opinion.

You are an idiot. You honestly think some superhuman terminator is shitposting on a tiny community like this? Because that's what he'd have to be if he really is responsible for everything idiots like you say 'he' is. One person cannot shitpost constantly for 4 years, not when he'd have to remain awake for a week or more on end at certain points and post from half a dozen or more devices a minute.

You didn't deserve any of this just for asking a question and throwing out some opinions.
>>
>>53074738
I dunno. I do disagree with the idea that everything can be blamed on the shitposter but they're certainly not a myth. I mean whats more likely? A group of people who independently research how to use a specific posting style, pick certain targets and get triggered over the same things or it just being one severely autistic anon?

I think you may be overestimating just how complex or difficult the "shitposter's" style is.
>>
Hey Marvel_Anon, could we get a +0cp time extension drawback in your Honorverse jump to go from 1900PD to 1922PD?
>>
>>53074814
>single posting style
You realise this single posting style generally consists of posting the same insults over and over? Insults everyone sees constantly? And that your 'certain targets' are just the people known to give good reactions or who have been targets for years?

That's probably my biggest issue with this concept. That the justifications people have for it are so stupid and weak. Almost every shitposter on 4chan falls into the same sort of patterns people seem to think is indicative of a single person,
>>
>>53074814
What's more likely? A single person posting at almost every hour of the day, every day, for four years, going without sleep for periods of time literlaly impossible for any human to survive

or

A bunch of random assholes, consisting of guys form other threads, bored guys from here, angry people from here looking to lash out, people wanting to stir trouble because they want others to be miserable and casual shitposters just in it for a laugh all just follow the same common lines as each other.

I mean for god's sake this scatovore thing was because a guy said shit a lot. Shit! It's one of the most common swear words in the western world. My kids say it all the time.

Ah okay then. Well I'll just leave off, as I've gotten the answer I need and can offically call the conversation over. Anything about the subject I brokered after this point isn't me.
