What if Ynnead kills Slanesh, but then she elevates itself as a new Chaos god? Just like The Horned King in AoS. And it would be fitting for the always-doomked eldar.

I never asked for this.
>>

While I'm not really on board with 'Kill Slannesh' I would really love to see other gods take them on as equals. Ynnead and an Ascended Emperor for example.
>>

that's the plan, yes

even in AoS the horned has nothing to do with slaanesh, it's all about the elves that kidnapped it and are going to replace it

I just want the Void Dragon to break free and split the Adeptus Mechanicus in half.

Half siding with the Void Dragon and possibl any "oldcrons" under it's command and the other half who believe Big E is the machine God.

Fingers crossed something like that happens for the next big shift in the story.
>>
>>53059241
>its a big rift
For you
>>
>>53060142
I dont think many of them actually, deeply believe in Emps as the machine God, I think its just a "maybe at best". It would be much more likely that any of those not in direct contact with the Void Dragon's works would likely think it was just high-tier tech heresy.
>>
>>53059896
Just business as normal for Xenos. Don't matter, just the mooks killed by Chaos and Imperium or the plucky sidekicks dying to help them out.

So this means that the Tau are going to be seeing a ton of Chaos soon. Seeing as the rift curls arond them.

In fact it pins them against Orks and Necrons. The interesting thing is that the "friendliest" nation nearby is the Ultramarine homeworld Macragge to the south. Maybe we'll see more teaming up between them?

And Tyranids are pressuring Macragge from the south right?
>>
>>53060541
Blue Marines teaming up with Blue people.

Pottery.
>>
>>53060541
Isn't Ultramar supposed to be in a huge fight with Chaos and particularly Nurgles forces right now? Think they'll be a bit busy to help.

Maybe Tau team up with Imotekh instead seeing as both Him and the Tau believe in keeping other races as vassals nations so they've got some common ground for negotiations.
>>
>>53060541
You noticed how xenos were absent from girlyman's "beware the crusade is coming" comment right?
>>
>>53060604
That was weird. Since today's fluff release said his Crusade is targeting Xenos too.

Maybe Xenos are just so unimportant now he didn't think they needed mention? I mean he probably looked at the Imperium, saw it'd been beating back all the Xenos for more than 9000 years with ease, and realized that Xenos aren't much of a threat really.

Chaos on the other hand just wiped out Cadia and tore the galaxy in half.
>>
>>53060652
Very possible. Especially since an eldar helped bring him back.

I know I like in AoS I can bring a wide range of units from different races. Maybe we're moving towards that a little?
>>
>>53060652
Considering how many planets get nommed by the nids every century, and that Ghazgkull is going to unite the orkoid race soon, I'd say they better keep their backs covered. Maybe they can make an alliance with the Ynnead, so they have to specify which xeno is legal to burn on the pyre now.
>>
>>53059351
It's a scar, healed doesn't mean it's fixed, it's just that the scar comes after the wound is ripped open. Calling a big fucking mark of a torn up area a scar isn't anything new.
>>
>>53059896
There better be a Sautekh Necrons vs Chaos warzone

The rift is right next to their territory
>>
>>53060599
Tau and Necrons fighting Chaos. Necrons teach the Tau what exactly Chaos is, and they migrate in masse to the Farsight enclaves? Necrons discover how to possess Tau to become flesh again? Maybe to make a different army, with necron and tau technology fused together?
>>
>>53060826
Eww no. Just no.

Necrons only interest in other species is subservience and a few interesting individuals. And why the hell would they be using shit tier tau bodies for getting bodies back when tau live like 40 years max.
>>
>>53059756
You mean the Horned Rat?

he was ALWAYS a Chaos god, just a minor one.
>>
>>53060857
Aren't there tons of individual necron factions out there? Weren't some of them looking for the way to become organic again (not resurrect the necrontyr race as it was due to them being utterly disseased)? Plus, both Tau and Necrontyr have almost no presence in the Warp, so it would ft.

there will be elite units with badass weapons from these time accerated worlds
>>

They want bodies, but they also want to be immortal ubermensch. They'd want something more along the lines of an Eldar or a Custodes in biology.

Actually somewhat kind of interested to learn more about the Imperium Nihilus. Just a bunch of planets completely seperated from the seat of the Imperium left only with fringe and fanatical Inquisitorial and Space Marine elements to keep them in check. I hope to see a lot more Renegade armies now.

It means they've been cut off from the rest of the Imperium, which happens to include holy terra and bobby g, so while the rest of the imperium gets to enjoy new hope with a primarch and a crusade coming up their half is isolated surrounded by chaos and probably fucked.
>>
>>53061660

Yep. The fluff is getting the Age of Sigmar treatment as well.

When Abaddon destroyed the Cadian Pylons, the Eye of Terror surged forth. The resulting unleashing of long suppressed energies cracked the walls of reality resulting in a Path made from Warpstorms to form the Cadian Gate to the Eastern Fringes. The crack concentrates in the middle for some reason.

The remaining Necron Pylons are fighting a losing battle to keep the rest of the galaxy from suffering the same fate as the parts swallowed by the Warp. Worse yet that daemons and heretics are continuing targeting them. The galaxy is beyond fucked and those new marines are a futile effort unless Girlyman can stop the Eye and the Great Rift from expanding and wiping out existence.

The Dark Eldar one was different. Urien Rakarth approached some ethereals saying he'd help them fight off the nids and only had to be paid later. Then he offered to take in their injured to fix their wounds and they agreed.

Then after the nids were driven off he took the population of a few worlds as payment and used the injured soldiers that he turned into wracks and grotesques to do it.

The Eye is still expanding towards Terra. Notice what's said in the site and look at the map. The explosion from the Eye towards all the way to the east follows in the wake of the conflicts and disasters that rocked the galaxy. From appearance of the planet of Sorcerers to the Imperials invasion of the Tau held space (Mont'ka and Kauyon). Where every great conflict has occurred the Warpstorms have manifested or on their way to manifesting.

I am glad about this. You know why? It proves how much of cunts the Imperials are. By attacking the Tau and trying to stop their progress they connected the dots that allowed the Great Rift to cut the galaxy in half and throw the northern Imperium beyond their reach.
>>
>>53064448
Yes, you can. The Warpstorm and the Eye move towards where bloodshed is the greatest. Abaddon's plan is to have the Eye follow in the wake of his Black Crusade.

Due to there being great conflicts that are occurring or have occurred, the Eye and the Great Rift is being drawn to them as well.

Apparently Robot Girlyman is hard at work building new marines while also re-organizing the exiting Marine forces back into Legion strenght.

It's more of the "establish a weakness/drawback for Tau then promptly ignore it/make them awesome at it and overcome a superior force effortlessly" that people refer to as plot armor. Not that they win but the ham fisted way the Tau win in many of the retconned major battles like Damocles.

The Administratum doesn't log by days as it is too unwieldy for a galactic empire. Official documentation uses Terran years that are then broken down in thousandths. So 079902.M41 is time period 79 of 1000 of the 902nd year of the 41st millenium. You can further break those periods down to get more precise times if you need to like 124.079902.M41

That would mean dropping the starship troopers/20th Century Analogs from the product line. Not gunna happen when so many people already have an army of them.

Besides, why in the age of fusion would you need a planet to live on? You can grow crops in hydroponics, your fuel is literally everywhere (hydrogen: Fusion's fuel and the most common element in the galaxy), and you have all the room in the universe to expand your house/fleet.

You could call Cadia the first "Spaceborne" Regiment, but instead of recruiting from other worlds they can recruit from the transports they inhabit.

Like, the rift and the loss of a bunch of territory is like the western portion collapsing while the East endures.

Blood angels are getting fucked, their book is called "Devastation of Baal" and if that's any indicator, their world is getting nommed. The Prophecy in the very new Dante novel has the tyranids consuming Baal, then becoming a way bigger threat after that.

My biggest issue with this is that there was never any sign of the warp suddenly going fuckhuge
The original eye of terror needed the birth of slaanesh itself to be formed
And now it just explodes into a multitude of its size because cadia is gone? Because cadia had some necron artfiact that abaddon wanted to destroy all along?

A cicatrix can also be a scar on a tree's bark. If you think of Norse mythology, the thing which connects all of the different inhabitable worlds and is where all life can be found is Yggdrasil - a giant tree. Perhaps they were going more for that sort of thing than the other definition.

It may have been rushed but some part of me thinks it was planned that way. The rules and setting were so drab and barebones. The first half of AoS was Sigmarines go somewhere, find Khorne Blood Bloods and they fight. And the art for those books was the same shit. And GW thought people would be happy with that.

You can tell they 180'd from that fucking direction because they released the general's handbook which is x100 more popular than the narrative rules they tried to push that no one was swallowing.

I had a good laff when the last Warhammer Quest game was released. "Look guys, there are normal people here! We're going to give you stuff and people to empathize with and get attached to because Mount Blood Skull Doom isn't working!"

Same with the new 40k, "Look guys we aren't binning the setting or any armies! Believe us we learned our lesson!"
