Pretty sure someone's working on Digimon World Dawn/Dusk. Pretty sure all the other games are free. Also think there was someone on Adventure/02/Tri, but that could have been wishful thinking on my part. Reasonably certain Frontier, Savers, Xros Wars and all the manga are up for grabs.

I'd imagine a lot could be /made/ to have a hunting focus with the right perks and no fucks to give about the plot, but I'm not sure there are any that are /intended/ to yet.

So Steven Universe question. The only benefits to being a Half-Gem over a Gem is not getting poofed by those disruptor prod things and the ability to fuse with humans(and presumably other sapient organic lifeforms), correct? Or am I missing something?

Damn you Arrowverse! Savitar's body wasn't really metal, it was a special power armor designed to protect him from the massive amount of static electricity. Also Savitar is a future Barry Allen, who went back in time, stole the Philosopher Stone to become first Meta Human. Then he started tormenting his younger alternative versions of himself. Killing Alt-2020 Flash's Iris, while 2017 Flash watched because he accidentally travelled into the possible future.

Man they really need a better twist. The good guy was the bad guy all along! At least this one was more original than S1 BBEG is S2's but with a twist!

Mei (Overwatch) and Pyro (Team Fortress 2). This is mostly just to be funny.

Deadpool (MCU), Deadpool (Marvel), and Ryan Reynolds (Probably Youtube). Because I don't want to just poke the fourth wall, I want to smash it with a sledgehammer.

I also kind of want to hook up the girl from The Ring with Jason Voorhees because I think that would be the cutest horrifying romance ever.

Might I suggest a drawback for dealing with a traitor ala Goro? Speaking of which, surprised there isn't anything for him in the jump. Also, it might be a good idea to have something for replacing Joker if we really want to (maybe for the Joker origin only), and something for being dragged into Yaldabaoth's game.

I want DIO and Gilgamesh to meet each other. It would be very funny to put them in a room together and see what would happen.

She is basically a Fantasy version of Taylor with the whole tries to be good but turns into a villain thing. Of course Catherine is a bit more grim dark but that's to be expected from a Dark Fantasy series.

Once the BnHA jump gets finished, Taylor meeting Deku might be interesting.

>Both dealt with bullying (though Deku's wasn't as severe)
>Both have powers that require a degree of forethought
>Both are prone to DETERMINATION-ing their way through problems
>They possess the very crucial difference of opposite first experiences with the world of heroes, Taylor had an overall negative experience and Deku had an overwhelmingly positive one
There also used to be a theory that Deku's dad was dead, but the author made a comment that he just works overseas.

57. Hellgate London
Location: Unprotected Apartment
Age: 26, Origin: Drop-In
Perks: Unholy Truth, Hide, Holy Aura, Gone
Items: Ratty Cloak, Goetia
Drawbacks: Broken Supply Lines

I think this was my first taste of stealing the power of god, and Gone is honestly one of the better stealth perks in jumpchain. It turns stealth into a Bethesda game style "I can't see them, therefore they no longer exist" mess.

Can the Exalted Mortals scenario where you have to keep the little twilight girl safe be dealt with by living together normally and just not drawing attention to yourselves?

Because a vacation that comes with Solar Daughteru sounds nice.
>>
>>53053386
It was Demons are reality hopping aliens terraforming earth into another hellplane to add onto their plane, but humans are awesome so secret templar power armor paladins, cultists, and remnants of givernment agencies band together to uncover hidden ancient secrets and druve back the demon hoardes.

Which works for a while before the demons release the elder things and you have to get even more hidden holy truths to beat them back and save humanity and earth.

>>
>>53052813
>Sadako Yamamura with Jason Voorhees

That...might actually work. Both of them became killers due to being seen as freaks and neglected.
I mean, they'd probably try attacking each other at first, but once they get past that I could actually see them leaving to live a life together at their own abandoned camp grounds lake.
The only people who would be killed then are the people stupid enough to enter.
Which really, a lot of people who are killed by Jason kinda only have themselves to blame. Going to camp crystal lake is like jumping into the tiger pit in a zoo. Are you going to blame the tigers or the idiot who jumped in?.

I went around meeting some of my extended family in Viking Saga, as a Scion of Loki. I mean, it seemed like a thing to do.

Sleipnir and Fenrir are about like you'd imagine. Sleipnir is pretty agreeable all around. He's a good boy.
Fenrir is a bigass wolf and was really pissed off to start with, but he was chained so it was alright, and he settled down when he figured out I wasn't going to hurt him. I pet him for a bit. It was nice.
Didn't meet Jormungandr, because fuuuuck that. I heard he was kindof pissy about it, that his half-sister visited everyone but him.

But when I met Loki, that was the weirdest. He was nothing like you'd imagine Loki to be, he was just so... calm.
I think the serpent dripping poison must have taken the fire out of him.
We talked a lot. He had all kinds of stories, some funny, some cool as hell, and he was very knowledgeable. I stayed there for... geez... must've been days. Whenever Sigyn would go to dump the bowl full of poison, I'd come in with another one. So for just a few days, Loki didn't have poison dripping in his eyes.
And he was really nice. Seemed to care about how I was doing as one of his kids. It wasn't a bad visit.

But he was still Loki. And Fate is very real in Norse. And I remember asking him what he did all day, when the poison wasn't in his eyes. And do you know what he said?
He said, "I wait."

... so it was a sobering experience, all told.

So I'm trying to get into Exalted since the thread constantly discusses it, but I'm wondering about something as I do. Do people still care about 2e outside of the context of Jumpchain or has everyone else moved on to discussing 3e instead?
>>
>>53053951
3e is literally only solars, last time I checked.. so if you want to play anything else you either find a homebrew to import or you play 2e
>>
>>53053951
Jumpchain is pretty much the only place where 2e is popular outside of niche groups that still run it. 3e is a bit worse in terms of flavor in some people's eyes, but realistically most groups will run that over 2e.

>>53053951
Lorefags still care about 2e, but since what exists of 3e is actually playable if someone is running a game it's probably going to be 3e.
Thing is 3e is stuck in development hell and may or may not ever get to the splat you like so it's a whole lot of backporting or straight up homebrew.

There's still some interest in both depending on where you look, but it's actually pretty ded for a tabletop.
>>
>>53052621
Ogre Kingdoms, Ark, Monster Hunter.
>>
>>53053951
2e is better in terms of the world/fluff but 3e is a mechanically superior game, 2e is better for the purposes of /jc/ but for actually playing the game you should probably look into 3e (assuming you want to play Solars, that is the only 3e that is out).

I'm sure some places will still talk about, but I bet a lot of them are going to be places that write crossover or SI fanfiction.
Since all the mechanical shortfallings of exalted don't exist when it's not being played it's easier to enjoy that way. In fact that's probably why it's so popular around here too.

You could always try lurking exalted general if you don't mind a bunch of complaining about 3e's shit dev cycles. 2e talk isn't very common, but it does still happen.

Right, so... I'm not seeing an exact reference to going to the same school as the phantom thieves, so I think hightailing it out of japan for 20 days will work to get them off my back.

If that doesn't work, I can use a few different kinds of mind/perception control to make them forget about me for a bit, maybe break a wrist or two to take them out of action for a few days. Worst case scenario I drag a few companions into my new palace and just generally kick their buts around.

On second thought, the worst case scenario is thatI kill them. I can probably rezz them later?

Anyways, this is almost a pure powergamers build. About the only thing I didnt get was a companion with 'Want Emancipation' and 'Social Links' to spread persona to other jumps. Probably drop the outfits item for that, or add the sleeping drawback.

After defending myself from them... I dunno, just hang out for a while?

Actually, what's the starting date of the jump? the game is sometime in march, and IIRC the final battle is christmas, so this is just after that?

About as likely as it is for a normal animal of the same size who keeps being in the way of where people are stepping.
By using the secret technique of moving out of the way or not being underfoot a lunar can avoid such incidents entirely.

Regular cat vs Lunar goes to the lunar 98/100 times. This isn't D&D where housecats are terrors capable of slaying multiple grown men with ease. I mean if we're talking squirrel sized here that's not that big of a size disparity and since a heavy portion of lunar charms are just how to not die good that makes it unlikely for a normal cat to be able to kill them.

He and Jack Slash took down King back in the 90s.
His Harbinger clones whooped some ass too, IIRC.
His power is pretty hardcore.
At one point he also teamed up with Contessa to take down some Slaughterhouse 9000 clones. I'm pretty sure he personally killed at least one Night Hag clone, who's power was to sort of anchor herself to an area, warp it, and self-resurrect if she was killed.

Oh wait, it's the 2nd largest. There's an even bigger variant that allows up to 10 cubic yards. But yeah, it's just a hollow egg with that amount of space to stuff things in it.

I'm not sure why the gauntlet says it "can store up to three cubic yards of stuff Elsewhere and can even vanish there itself with a larger donation of Essence."

Because it can't store stuff in Elsewhere, it's just a storage space you can summon and banish from Elsewhere for a whole bunch of motes.

>>
>>53055943
>you're likely to get tracked down by a Wyld Hunt
It really depends on where you start, the hunt is a great deal weaker and less active during the age when Exalted is set due to a combination of being watered down by more anathema and the Dynasty being in disarray.

Now they are still a threat and anywhere that is truly safe from them will have it's own significant issues but the only real way a depowered jumper would be able to deal with them is to balance the risks and stay in an area where the ones they face are not exasperated by their little ward(s).

If he were to be accepted as some sort of official law enforcement, then sure, he can go out and arrest people. If he were given a position as a judge, he could pronounce sentences over those who committed crimes. If he worked in a prison in Texas, he could apply the lethal injection after the appeal process has been exhausted. He cannot do more than one of these things at once and the system works the way it does for a reason. Summary execution isn't something a person should do, and that goes double for bancho..

Resurrect Sarah.
Put the criminals through an actual trial that sees them imprisoned.
Teach them the errors of there thinking.
Reform them into good, helpful people through counseling.

It's been abolished in the UK, Australia, Canada and more for over forty years. America is kind of an exception in it's use (I'm assuming you're from America and using that as your baseline). The only other countries that have comparable use in sentencing of it to America are China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and North Korea.

Here are some arguments against it that may help with understanding why people are against it:

The suspect may be proven innocent after the execution is carried out. That's happened a few times.

Due to the medical/court costs it is more expensive to do than life imprisonment.

It has a serious impact on the people responsible for carrying out the execution, few people can have a job like that without negative impact on their mental health.

Is there really a need to kill someone who has been rendered unable to hurt others?

>Okay then how would you bring about justice for Sarah?
You can't, she is dead. You could try and get justice for her family by getting the perpetrator tried and convicted but that is the best you can do.

Killing him yourself is just self gratification, killing him in front of her family might make them feel good for a moment but just make things worse in the long run, letting them kill him is just the second option but puts blood directly on their hands, so all that is left is to make him face the people's justice. Not yours bancho, the people's.

Of course you could just throw justice away and kill the bastard, but that would be morally reprehensible when as a jumper you have the power to do the right thing so easily. Yet I know this is what you'll chose anyway, and it pleases me.

“Something Vimes had learned as a young guard drifted up from memory. If you have to look along the shaft of an arrow from the wrong end, if a man has you entirely at his mercy, then hope like hell that man is an evil man. Because the evil like power, power over people, and they want to see you in fear. They want you to know you're going to die. So they'll talk. They'll gloat.

They'll watch you squirm. They'll put off the moment of murder like another man will put off a good cigar.

So hope like hell your captor is an evil man. A good man will kill you with hardly a word.” - Men At Arms, by Terry Pratchett.

I'm gonna be totally honest.
S'kinda the whole reason I took the Wretch drawback.
Like, go look up some of the art/models for Gorgers on Google Images. Those fuckers have six pack abs.

So, I kindof imagined my lanky-as-shit girl ogre, Venous, actually looks really conventionally attractive... other than having monstrous ogre teeth and having magma for spit. And it's just because of cultural differences that all the other ogres THINK she's hideous.
It's like one of the few times I didn't try for pure cute.
>>
>>53056501
I was actually tempted to be a Gorger myself for that very same reason. They're more monstrous than the average ogre, who is just a hugely fat and tall Mongolian, but they're a whole hell of a lot fitter.

I don't know if the jump allows it, but I could also tolerate being a Yhetee, since they're also thing and strong instead.

>>
>>53056623
It is? Oh well. I guess that's nice.

By the way, if the companion we imported had some abilities that were basically an AoE ability that damaged everything but the user, would the meister count as user or just another target?
>>
>>53056657
Depends, how does the ability know not to damage the user?
>>
Who would win, random Terrestrial or Depowered jumper with .44 magnum?
>>
>>53056612
...? Venous doesn't have art. It's just the name I gave myself, for my particular ogre for that jump. Because she had a whole backstory before I, the jumper, showed up in her head and took over.

Usually I'm absolutely shit with names, and so as a result I don't often come up with different names for my jumper's backstory character in each jump, but I thought Venous was a pretty good name for a female ogre.
Y'know, because it's named after the venous blood system of the body, and also sounds like "Venus", which is often used to symbolize females. ... and also, it's a name that starts with a 'V', which is only important for dumbass personal reasons (my companions, Vera and Vee, would think it was neat at least).

Anyway, I don't think there are any pictures of ogres without paunches that aren't Gorgers, nor are there any for girls, and I'm not even purely sure a Wretch is actually a thing in normal gameplay, but if you google image search for Warhammer Fantasy Gorgers you can sortof approximate their look. Just add tits, I guess.

Jump #322: A Song of Ice and Fire
>Knight of Cups: Forceful idealism blended with gentle kindness.
>Age: 15
In this world, fifteen is old enough. Old enough for fighting. Old enough for killing.
>Location: Braavos, 2 BC (-50)
This is exactly where I want to be. Coming in at the end of the Century of Blood, in what will be the most prosperous free city. Aegon the Conquerer has already come and gone and ensured that no single city will be able to prevail against the other.
>Identity: Drop-In
It doesn't matter who I am. I do not need a name to achieve my purpose.
>Scenario: First Among Nine
I don't so much want to conquer as I want to control. The Illuminati model should do nicely. Six hundred and sixty-six members can go a very long way.
>Prince In Exile (850, Drop-In)
At least when I travel I'll be welcomed in all circles.
>The Builder (700, Drop-In)
Did you know that the Wall isn't made of ice, it's just coated with it? At its core, it is volcanic glass. Dragonglass. Obsidian piled hundreds of feet high. Why else wouldn't the wights and zombies be able to cross it? Come on, it's obvious.
>Schemer (500, Drop-In)
If I'm to pull off what may turn into hundreds of years of scheming in order to make a better world, then every little bit of scheming counts.
>Pyromancer (300, Drop-In)
I have always loved Wildfire. This will not change. I just need to figure out how best to handle things.
>Starforged Sword (100)
I will admit that this is a neat weapon, though I'm getting it more for the sake of having such an interesting weapon than anything practical. I might Cheat Mode a copy and integrate it with my normally-used sword though. I like the look of the blade.
>Brave Companions (0)
Any good conspiracy needs some good co-conspirators!

So. Ten years is not NEARLY long enough to enjoy the fruits of my labor. The intention isn't simply to take control of Braavos and then conquer the other Free Cities, it's to change their society and the world.
>>
>>53056863
Therefore fuck society when it's old enough to be my mother and murder some social norms while robbing mean people and punching them in the soul.
>>
>>53056956
While I'm not going to flat-out call them the Illuminati, I believe the Gargoyles version had a good thing going. Thirty-six ranks, with a member for each rank (so one first-ranked member, two second-ranked, 36 thirty-sixth ranked, etc) should work nicely, and given a few years (if even that long) I can start finding members to put it all together.

The purpose isn't simply to unify the cities, and that's a very distant goal when I arrive. It's to codify laws, to spread knowledge, to make life better for everyone. And as such it's no surprise that Braavos is where it begins, where the population is made of those who escaped the other cities. Given time, Braavos will become fairly prominent, and I'll ensure that we become prominent with it.

While Aegon and his inbred clan keep inbreeding, we'll be spreading throughout the free cities, ever patient. Valyrian steel is a product of magic and its raw manufacture is not possible without dragons. Wildfire, though... that substance can be harnessed (ever so carefully) and used to make steel that can be of superior quality to other types. Incremental improvements will be learned by smiths, of course, though it's likely to be localized to one city rather than all.

In fact, every city has its own specialties, and there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, it promotes inter-city trade. I'll simply see to it that roads shall be built between the cities, given time. Sure, they won't be paved with dragonstone, but making a concrete material that includes pumice and volcanic ash, and curing it with wildfire to speed its setting as a roadway, should work particularly well. And it means more rapid transit between cities.
>>
>>53056961
Printing presses are good, though if the resulting books will implicitly be inferior to the illuminated manuscripts that Westeros' maesters produce, of course. Having such a thing means that we can steadily make literacy become a desirable thing - even if the books are not cheap, there's much to be gained by spreading knowledge and encouraging scholars.

The vast majority of things in Westeros happen according to canon. At the time of Robert's Rebellion, however, a simultaneous coup happens in a few of the Free Cities, and their rulers are deposed. Violently, in two out of the three cases. Mercenaries are kept busy as my fellow conspirators' plans finally come to a head after three centuries, and while much of the merc work is posturing, the remaining bits ensure that no one who is a threat or who is disloyal remains as the conspirators step out of the shadows to take more direct control of the Free Cities. In the end, Braavos is the only one that is not directly controlled by us, but by a proxy trying to do as I imply would please me. Indirect control was apparently not good enough for it to count as a scenario victory.

I bided my time, watching canon unfold. And then Robert sent for Ned Stark.

You may remember that there is a cache of wildfire beneath King's Landing.

The smallfolk were given encouragement to flee the city overnight in terror. And by terror, I do mean pants-shitting run-for-your-life-death-is-coming supernatural terror that only a jumper can provide.

>>
>>53056965
As when the sun rose over the horizon and the Starks were perplexed as to why they kept passing panicked smallfolk, they saw a green mushroom cloud rising in the distance, because fuck King's Landing, it is literally the first plate that a dragon landed in Westeros to take a shit. That's how self-important the Targaryens were - this is the place they first landed and so they turned a cesspit into a city that kept smelling like a cesspit. Damned hillbillies.

In any event, this caused civil unrest but not a civil war, just a great deal of confusion in Westeros that was put on hold due to Winter coming. A bit of string-pulling by a certain conspiracy saw a driftwood throne burned to cinders by green flames because the drowned god can choke on a drowned dick, and a driftwood crown burned with it.

The various Lords of Westeros convened as a council, and I am convinced that Ned only got the call to lead them because Sean Bean evaded a fated death two jumps in a row.

I made sure they had all the supplies they would need to deal with the wights and walkers before I consolidated political control of all of the former Free Cities into a confederation, triggering my inevitable victory and sending me onward.

I left behind my magic, stitched into this world's fabric as it is with so many others. Magic here waxed and waned in such an annoying manner... I felt having something more would benefit many, in the long run.

Let's see the Others shrug off having firaga or flare cast at them. Or Ultima for that matter.

They're both going to hurt a lot if they actually hit the terrestrial, with the increased strength. But you don't want to actually get hit and try to tank attacks in Exalted anyway, so that may not be as much of an advantage as it usually would be.

>So what's bâncho's ideology, anyway? Does he just want to rule over everything?
No, it makes way less sense than that. He wants to demolish the laws of physics because they're oppression people's freedoms, or something to that extent.

In the same capacity, he basically fucks up everything for everyone because he wants the rules to go away so anyone can do anything for any reason. People have compared him to the Ebon Dragon or a Raksha before with decent similarity.

But he's also kind of a moralfag who contradicts himself and hates it when other people do anything he doesn't like, and will also torture murder those people because he's a hypocrite who can't tolerate people doing bad things.
>>
>>53057374
So he wants the rule of the strong? Or some kind of Instrumentality thing where everyone is in their own dreamworld so that nobody can be oppressed?

freedom does not include the freedom to trespass on the freedoms of others, it's just that simple. When the laws of physics were set up They limited the freedoms of Damn near everyone.

Nobody knows for sure because it makes no goddamn sense and he contradicts himself too much. We all just agree that whatever he thinks, it's fucking stupid.
>>
>>53057339
Mostly he just speaks about ideals he has no real understanding of and tries to justify being a monster using them.

If you want to get technical, he wants to optimize freedom, but still control the morals of other people using fear and intimidation. His idea of optimized freedom is the removal of any and every limitation, including time, death, memory, and gravity, unless the person wishes otherwise. He simultaneously wishes to punish people for breaking his sense of morality in elaborate ways like sterilizing a child who sexually assaults another, on the grounds that she's a pedophile.

Basically, he's spent his whole life being hurt, is trapped in a body with an epileptic disorder, can't into empathy or understanding things quickly because of severe autism, and comes from an abusive household. He's about what you'd expect from that combination.

I know, that's why I'm thinking that Jump-chan probably muscled her out of the way to start making changes. Nothing Featherine could do about it, just has to accept that there's someone else playing with metafiction by turning reality into their fanfic.
>>
I never read Mortal Gauntlet until now but it is rather interesting. A lot of the things that grant CP have some legitimate benefits to go along with the negatives, I suppose it kind of has to since it is Exalted and you start without any CP.

An artifact weapon that pays you to take it, only it eats essence commitment and part of it's effect makes you forget the thing constantly.

A Solar companion who will most likely cause you some solar sized problems but comes with a bunch of CP. . . and a Solar. Same with the Lunar companion.
>>
>>53056160
That seems arbitrary to me.
So it's fine to kill if a politician says it's okay, but if they don't then it's murder? That puts a lot of power in the hands of people that most accept are to varying degree of corrupt.
As a jumper with access to a variety of ways to determine guilt or innocence, way beyond what a RL person can reasonably have, I don't see it as wrong for such a person to enact justice drawing upon those advantages to both punish the guilty and possibly do so with some irony.

>>53056197
Make damn sure you are punishing the right people using your resources as a jumper.
It shuldn't be difficult if you wish to to then provide the authorities with evidence and allow for a public trial. Should they drop the ball, then take things into your own hands.
In marvel, at least, it wouldn't surprise me if a lawyer used that a 'mutant' provided the evidence as a means to have it thrown out of court and let the guilty go free.

>>53056233
>Or better yet, REDEEM them. Convince, NOT Mind-fuck,
That's a fine line there. How do you convince them to change their ways? Do you force them to want redemption? How can you make bad people want to be better all of a sudden without 'mind-fuck'?

>>53056238

>>53056247

Yes, it's called justice. What matters is what they did, not what they are now free to do. A man now imprisioned and not free to murder can be freed and then will act on his malice. Only by killing them do you make sure they can't do any more evil.
Also, you are protecting the less malicious prisioners from the worst of the worst.

Kamen Rider armor or bust for me. I tend to build my own, mostly based off Cosmic Switches and Core Medals but I've learned to integrate some odd technology into them.

Like the Gem Switches Kamen Rider Crystal Gem, created during my time in Steven Universe using a Kindergarten Engine and Cosmic Energy.

Or the Striker Circuits Kamen Rider Metal Maiden, from Strike Witches, which allows a person to fuel the suit with raw magic, among other special effects.

I also tinkered with Life Fiber clothing swatches Kamen Rider Bloodlust, from Kill La Kill, which worked /really/ well when combined with Core Medals but is a suit I don't let my Companions use. Without "Above the Influence" the mental side effects from the suit are extreme.

I've even begun tinkering around with Vigor and Plasmid samples, from the Bioshocks, but that line of research isn't going well for a number of reasons. I can't tell if I need to learn more about genetics or if crystallizing the samples is just the wrong way to go about it.

I also keep around a few sets of Power Armor from Fallout, but I rarely use them in battle anymore. While I will admit they have the advantage in the intimidation category, they're just too bulk to be practical when I can keep a Kamen Rider device in my pocket for practically the same end result.

How is a proper investigation and ensuring guilt, 'inefficent' and 'lacking professionalism'.

Sure, I don't see why not. You'll get some odd looks if you try to use anything too wild though. It is still WW2 out there. But they'll probably hold off on asking you too many so long as you're effective. At least until the war is over.

And yeah, those modifications would be retained between Jumps, but not if it gets completely destroyed. You'll still get a new AFW, you do have CP fiat on them after all, but it'll be the base model and you'll have to strap on your modifications again.

... I really should go back in and change it so everyone gets a Warehouse garage slot for their AFW for free. I'm not sure what I was thinking charging people for it.

>I find that strange and wonder how that came about
Wouldn't surprise me if it was lawyers covering their asses in case the criminal being executed was later found innocent.
That and the needlessly expensive and convoluted execution methods. Although come to think of it, that's a contemporaneous issue with America and drugs being used to 'painlessly' kill; in the time anon is talking about, shouldn't it be simple hanging? That's not exactly expensive, so where do the medical fees come in?
>>
>>53058064
It's the slow, painful torture and monologue that are inefficient and unprofessional. Once you've determined someone needs to die, everything besides a quick death is just for your own personal emotional satisfaction. It becomes more about you and your power over your target than justice.
>>
>>53058034
>>53058143

Turns out that in the real world, which doesn't have reliable truth magic/tech/psychics, doing so is more expensive when you're making the effort to have a system that ensures the people you're catching are actually guilty of the crime. And based on historical evidence, the US is still getting it wrong at least 10 to 15 percent of the time.
>>
>>53058066
Eh. I mostly just want to do it because I took the 600 CP drawback and want a chance to take advantage of the AWF perkline for my companions, since as it is, there's no reason to go that route if you have access to better tech already, as those only apply to AFW's, so I have to start with Diesel-punk and retrofit them with Titanfall level tech just to make them relevant.
>>
>>53058066

>>
>>53058034
>I find that strange and wonder how that came about. It's somehow more expensive to quickly end life than feed and shelter a person for a lifetime?

If they're going to give out a death sentence they have to go all out on the prosecution and defence and pursue the case to the strictest limits possible which costs way more than a regular case. Then you've got appeals against the case which will cost even more and death row inmates have to be housed in special units that are more secure than regular prisons. Finally you have to pay for the execution, training people for it and given that drugs that kill someone painlessly have a fairly rare use they're very expensive.

It's somewhere around a million dollars more for the death penalty for an individual I think.

Because it's a waste of space and weight that could have been used for any of the following:

-A troop transport space for bunny soldiers

From there I customized it with Dead Space tech, Movie-verse Spiderman technology, some of the strange and wild technologies I gained from my time in Mario Worlds equivalent of Egadd, Eggman Tech when I hit up classic, I integrated Orihalcon into the suit back during Slayers so it has a high magic resistance, I have been through a lot of Kamen Riders and the ones that were tech based got put in after being tweaked, it was my Demon Weapon Partner in Soul Eater, I upgraded basically everything once I hit Generator Rex and GI Joe so that it is now once more technically nothing but a biology suit of armor, IT had a really fucked up idea after my time in Journey to the West and using a Custom Robo Perk (Down, Rebirth) it became immune to dying in the Crucible of Eight Trigrams over the course of several Jumps so that it could be refined multiple times in the Crucible, it ate my suit that I got from being in Megaman Zero and my Farlight Excalibur from Shadowrun, and I've sculpted it a few times using Geneforge magic to improve certain traits.

I think that's all I've done with my Power Armor. It usually goes around looking like Pic Related btw.

Basically they go to death row after the first prosecution which is done to the highest standards possible. Even then there's still a possibility that a mistake may have been made so they have allowances for that.

More evidence, witnesses (more showing up or proven to be lying), information or advances in forensic technology may come up after that point so they have appeals against the punishment based on new developments.

And even then there's estimations that somewhere around 4% of death row inmates are innocent.

There's plenty of examples of people who have been executed and later proven to be innocent.

I started out with the Praetor Suit, and eventually fused it with the Susanoo Unit from BlazBlue and then kept adding to it and tweaking it, mostly stuff from Metroid and various other jumps. It's pretty ridiculously fucking strong at this point, and it only gets stronger as it absorbs more technology that it can use.

I was thinking to head towards Great Forks, or even try to start there. They are relatively accepting of Celestials, even willing to help train them (with the assumption the favor will be returned of course). They'll probobly have things they will want us to do but that is better than being in Realm territory.

I am also thinking about the Ten-Thousand Winter Night, they are just a normal Ghost Blooded with really good sword skills right? I need to kill them, get the mind corrupting sword away from them, or social them into giving up?

Great Forks is a solid plan. Ten-Thousand Winter Nights isn't just a Ghostblooded, though they are that too, but also the God in the sword. Damned thing is really dangerous but yeah any of the things you explained could work out. You just have to be careful because the Ghostblooded has their Charms and the swords has it's own kit it uses which is mostly Touch of Jupiter for Aggravated, punches through most light armor, damage and spiritual poison.

Well, that's annoying.
I have no problem with capital punishment where it is behind closed doors and there is an absolute guarantee of guilt.
It seems that in the real world that is a standard too high to meet.

But in jumpchain, a jumper could get the suite of abilities necessary to either personally ascertain guilt with 100% certainty or empower others to do so.
A jumper interested in justice should be able to find and execute, realtively painlessly, criminals which deserve the death penalty, either by the jumper's own code, or by the laws of the land they are in.
Not only would a jumper be able to guarantee guilt but they would also be able to save the nation or state considerable fee in both the police investigations and the court proceedings.

Assuming the jumper is in a setting, let's say like Marvel, just because that's what started this whole thing off, would a jumper not be entitled to act as an agent of justice similar to what Magneto was going, albiet without the self-indulgent monologues (which I feel shouldn't be held against him, because, hey, comics; it would be wierd if he didn't monologue to justify his actions to the audience)?
>>
Hey, thread.
In several jumps a jumper can gain the power and authority over entire nations or even larger.
When you are in such a situation, how do you set up or revise the justice system of your territory?

Ironic justice.

If someone kills someone, then I'd ressurect the victim, extract their memories of dying and the treatment the suffered leading up to it and stuff it in the head of the perpitrator, to loop over and over until the day they die, which I make sure is a long-way off.

For rapists, the same more or less. Unless they are sufficently distorted to enojy it, that's where I get more creative.

All lesser crimes, beyond treason, get fairly light punishments of implantnig behaviour modification chips to dissuade them from future misbehaviour. Try to steal, jolt of pain. Try to push someone down a flight of stairs, jolt of pain. Try to pickpocket someone, jolt of pain. Slowly ratcheting up until the jolts are like minor seizures, with the chips reporting to a central database. Where a person goes too far or endanders another, then we refine the chip programming or go for incarceration in advance of mental reprogramming.

It's basically the same thing prisions are supposed to do anyway, rehabilitate, just done very quickly instead of over years, decades, or longer than the criminal has life left to spend.

"An Eye For An Eye" is a big thing. Basically, you commit a crime, you have what you did committed on you. Rehabilitation is also used, except in the worst cases that can't be rehabilitated, in which case they're locked in prison. Repeat offenders are almost non-existent. There's also laws in place for a great many other things, a la the Code of Hammurabi but less outdated, and there are various exceptions in the laws to cover various circumstances that might arise.

Lots of magic involved in the justice system. Things like truth spells in the court room and anyone who is currently a part of the justice system would have to swear a magically binding oath to ensure they do the best to find out whether a crime was committed and that an adequate punishment according to the law is used.

I think I have perks that make my people be nicer (there's one in DotA2 IIRC) so that helps. Plus if you can remove poverty and make drugs less addictive/harmful you probably won't get all that many criminals.

As for punitive stuff I generally go for banishment or teaching people the error of their ways through a series of bizarre lessons like A Christmas Carol. I tend to keep my killing rare and extralegal so it's less like capital punishment and more like the king occasionally assassinating someone personally if they're too much of a hassle to deal with in other ways.

Only exceptions are occasionally letting people off if they make me laugh during it or throwing the book at people that really annoyed me doing something.

Course, the best bit is when I don't do either of the above just to fuck with someone trying to take advantage.

I normally work with a few companions who are very much law/justice-centric since I don't know what I'm doing as well, speaking up or interjecting about stuff I feel is important. I try to keep the death penalty out of things and focus on rehabilitation but usually it still exists for the worst of the worst.

I'm barely a leader most the the time, more of a figurehead that tries to handle the big stuff. Normally I give one of my other companions who actually desires executive power the position since she's way better at that stuff, balanced with other trusted companions who sit in positions of power they can handle and run competently. I have power, but I'm not very involved in the decision making basically.

Items: Metaverse Navigator App, Social Link Tablet, Velvet Room
Drawbacks: Serial Transfer Student, Slice of Life, Freedom and Security

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8fCEyYiRU8

I mostly took Freedom and Security because my jumper is basically a spirit of freedom and compassion, and Jumpchan has apparently found a version of this reality where the friends I made last time I was here are being mind-controlled.

That simply will not do.

So, I have to break into various people's minds and steal their evils to get them to rebel against their own desire to be controlled, in a world where that desire to be controlled has been realized and has co-opted the heroes to his side? I think I can do that. I've had my own Persona for about 210 jumps and my soul is... well pretty fucking strong. My weapons are a railgun I regularly charge with Almighty and a spear also empowered by my soul. In ranking of my various classes, it's pretty much Monk > Healer > Thief > Everything else. I also have a few friendship equals defeat perks, so the heroes will probably join with me after I defeat them, one by one. My Velvet Room can even help fix their Persona.

I can also just pump freewill into the surrounding area for a few blocks around at a time. That should help a little.

There's Aura in Pokemon Trainer or by being Riolu/Lucario in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Tha anime has implied everyone has it at least a bit, but the only people shown to use it have a /lot/ more. So it might be possible to simply /learn/ in Pokemon without buying it. I wouldn't bet my build on it though.

There's Chi/Ki in basically every martial arts based setting. Off the top of my head the places that I know for certain have it are Ranma 1/2 and all the Dragon Ball jumps. Oh, and Negima

There's Aura in RWBY. Don't know if you need to pay CP for it, but everyone has it, it just needs to be unlocked which could be done in jump(and which you can do later for new companions if you have yours unlocked)

There's of course the Force from the Star Wars jumps.

Also Chakra from Naruto.

Magic is considered a type of life energy in some magic settings, notably Negima. In Negima it's actually the same type of energy as Ki but with the opposite charge if I understood correctly. Negima also has a combination of Magic and Ki called Kanka that is more powerful than the total energy put in.

I'm sure there's more, but that's what I can think of without reading through all the jumps on the drive.

Well, I'm practically an elemental embodiment of absolute order. So if there's an existing system? Usually, I interfere very little with the justice systems, because it's quicker to deal with undesirables by preempting them.

Mostly I just try to tidy up whatever's working well already, and set it up to modernise itself naturally; Vetinari has the right idea. Although, I do make a point of expanding the roster of crimes to include things like Grand Theft Reality and Tampering With Causality Without A Permit and Dimensional Interloping. You know, the sort of things mortal authorities keep overlooking. That way when the Erlking rides out on Hallows' Eve to rob children and strike terror into the hearts of man, the local cops just arrest him for doing 55 in a 54 instead of not believing in fairies. Oh, and also child abduction.

If there's no justice system in place, I more or less just automate the whole thing with MIs programmed to develop a code of conduct that fits my goals. Scan mind, scan fate, scan internet history-determine optimal penalty, rinse, repeat. I'm all for rehabilitation in the name of social cohesion, but working off your debt to society comes first; I can be flexible on the how. Sometimes, this persists beyond death. Ghost labour is cheap.

Different people active around different times of the day and different conversation. The ones who casually murder probably don't care as much about reformation of the justice system as a conversational topic in this case. That being said, I do see people speaking up when someone mentions killing certain character for what's perceived to not be a good reason. Playing devil's advocate for monsters isn't very fun or effective most of the time though. Like, shit, no one is gonna defend the Joker.

If it could, it'd probably only succeed once though, since Yellow Jade's whole thing is that it's creation is unreplicable.

Or maybe the Charm just ignores the whole 'Yellow Jade is a mistake' thing, in favor of Primordial power.
