Not perfect, but imagine having that on a fighter or whatever. It'd reduce the necessity of healing abilities greatly, You'd want it to refresh more than once per 24 hour period if you give it to players, though.

Hey /pfg/, can you guys help me make a character for a lewdgame? It's not as degenerate as /pfg/'s meme games like PLD, but still kind of racy. It's about comfy kitsune lewds!

It's a gestalt game with PoW, SoP, and SoM all allowed. I'm thinking an initiator|spherecaster focusing on Golden Crane and Silver Crane, so she can use Electrum Manticore. It's not exactly a 2hu build by any stretch, but could it be good?

Personality-wise, she's a young but battle-tested kitsune who got caught up in a "DEUS VULT!"-style crusade, which she later regretted. She then joined up with a Diamond Dogs-esque mercenary group, but left them after not liking the shady direction they were heading in.

She's kind of directionless now, having regretted many of the conflicts she signed up for. She's up to writing page 6 of a set of personal logs lamenting her military-related woes.

She also likes wearing cashmere.

Any interesting direction I can take her in? Any way to make her cute? As long as it's not something like copying Paizo's transniggerotherkin iconics, I'm open to ideas.

I'm thinking I'll name her Gloriana.

In that case, see if you can't get yourself a pet; dogs are loyal and have better senses than humans so they can sometimes tell when a creature's dangerous when humans can't. Tracking by scent is also hugely useful for any sort of monster hunter.

the Hunter class might work better for it because of that, actually, but it'd make being competent with a crossbow a bit of a bitch. Ranger might work since it can get a crossbow combat style, but Bolt Ace is the only setup that actually uses crossbows well. I just wish it was better at all, because gunslinger of any permutation is a dog with fleas.

So your virtuous bravo | invested regent scaled fist is some clever young fuccboi who once fell in love with a female (let's say silver) dragon and wanted to impress her, and went on a quest to prove his valor and worthiness to her for a Apsu to sanctify their marriage.

Years later he finds her nest empty, save for a couple of eggs that haven't yet hatched, and a cult of koboldish Apsu worshipers who want to be dragons without also being eaten by dragons. So now he has to keep things together, protect those eggs and search the world for her while flanked by a bunch of clumsy draconic wannabees who are also really bad at being good.

The eggs are actually his half-dragon kids waiting to hatch... and this is all a lesson about being a father and taking care of people besides yourself.

What are the ways a Sorcerer, Witch or Wizard can lower arcane spell failure from armor? Ideally Full-Plate.

Eldritch Knight is kind of worse for what I'm going for, even the swift action free spell capstone is subject to spell failure and it gives nothing to lessen it.

It's not about having high AC, Plate isn't even really the best option for that. It's also not about just looks, as I could always just glamour clothes to look like armor.

I want a caster, ideally a full leveled one, that can use full plate with only a small or ideally no chance of spell failure. It's not optimal and it's a bad idea in general, but I was told by my DM not to play an optimal character for this new group we'll be playing with.

If all else fails I'll just go with arcane armor mastery and take the swift action hit whenever I need to use somatic spells.

I'm predicting that Kent was born male due to being human enough for that to be possible despite being Erinyes. Nothing about his character seems to indicate that he is trapping.

However, it is also obvious that he is extremely androgynous, and could pass as a girl if he, for whatever reason, wanted. Probably because Erinyes are all angelicly beautiful women.

It is also noted that his Erinyes heritage is starting to assert itself, likely because the race class will cause physical changes like wings as he levels.

I'm predicting that when he gets to about the halfway point for his monster class he'll turn into a proper Erinyes, genderbender inc.

Not that particular anon, but I wish that it didn't have to give up so much to focus into things. You only really get enough shapes to go with two or maybe a major and three minors, which hurts the variety. Modulations are cool but you need to give up some utility to grab them. The class as a whole feels like it's lacking on attack bonuses; aether lance and channel, while strong on damage, really hurt with only mid bab, and no major bonus to attack, outside of +1 every five levels. The fact that they get a ton of class skills and the reroll stuff is cool, but 4+int on a cha class kinda makes it feel wasted.

I know a lot of these issues are very baked in by this point, and that the point of the class isn't to do everything kinda well, but rather to do well in what it's built for. I just want to have it be built for doing a lot of things kinda well.

Future humanity created horrific bioweapons to counter an invasion by such atrocities from an unknown civilization (it's not entirely certain whether they were specifically the ones attacked or if the ones attacked created said bioweapons in response to having been all but wiped out by those same ones).

The weapons were built on human DNA using a combination of technology, psychic sciences and black magic, to remove the ability for positive thoughts and emotions from their very core. Because that's always the best of ideas.

Designed to warp to some hostile galaxy and 'deal' with any threats in order to eventually allow universal domination by humanity, they woke up mid-programming in 2501 for unknown reasons (quite possibly exposure to signals or assimilation by their future selves) right inside Sol. The battle raged until a prototype weapon 'ported the entire planetoid-container and the fleet surrounding it into an alternate dimension.

These things, being designed to thrive and take over any environment and/or ecology, completely thrived until they started spilling out into other realities. With a natural inclination/attraction towards humanity and earth (after all....) they found their way back to the 22nd century and started removing the threats from the place they feel inclined towards approaching.

Several apocalyptic wars later, one of them, a fresh assimile, slaughtered its way with its fleet of children and minor selves straight through Earth Space Force headquarters, and upon removing the last of resistance, came to recognize why everything felt familiar. It turned, taking its fleet with it, and moved to jupiter where it would keep watch over the outer system for any incursions towards its home.

... At least, until something so terrible that even it felt fear came after it, forcing it to meet the ESF forces once more.

Hyperspecialization in a shape is a bit awkward, yeah. We'll talk about it - I think we've discussed moving the area shape damage bonus to caster level rather than ranks for that reason.
Thrown Weapons are being moved from Aether Rounds to Aether Channel. I actually do have a combo feat written up, but it's in early stages.
Update has been kinda hectic, in part because Forrest has been busy with work and I've been working on the PoW errata. Nation Pact's rework is the main thing holding us up at the moment.

I have no sense of time and am bad at answering that question, but we do have a new Aether Circus shape in Avowed 2 which fires clusters of missiles at enemies that track the target from outside of your potential range - but might be dodged.

So! First off, I'm going to bug Forrest about moving the Area shape cha-to-damage bonus to caster level rather than being based on ranks, as it is punishing you for branching out. We're sorry for missing that, and that's absolutely not our intention.
Second, we've at least got some new shapes coming - Aether Cyclone offers a melee no-save damage area option (like Swarm), Aether Wave launches a wide line attack that travels for several turns (effectively allowing you to cover a wide rectangle each round), and Aether Beam will give you a 10 foot wide line to launch at your enemies for people who feel like being a Kamehameha specialist. With these new options, punishing people for taking a wide variety of shapes is more counterintuitive than ever, and we will work to fix it.
