Vult was in the discord for MONTHS without garnering this reputation. Only two things changed when this all began. He got in a spat with SEagle in private, and he started a degenerate game. The general opinions on Aisha make it clear as day. She was well liked and memed during the application process, she was a good app! Fast forward about four days after PLD was posted and she's only referred to in derision! Do you think SEagle was shitposting that all? Or do you think it was just another character attack on Vult to make a symbol out of him for daring to run something they think belongs on a different board?

Ask yourselves, what happened as soon as the posting went up? People started blatantly lying about all of it! They lied about everything! They submitted false reports till the app thread got nuked! They literally glorified the idea of sneaking into his game for the express purpose of ruining it and reveling in the ashes! He was lied about, slandered, and publicly shamed no matter what he did and what he said didn't matter.

His only crime was, and is, running a degenerate game, and these would-be board police posters were so incensed about it, and that people wanted to join him in the game, that they waged a constant and total shitstorm against him. And what's most pathetic is they're too afraid to admit who they are, they hide their intents in the discord and spew vile hatred while anonymous.

Corwin, more than any other member of SotJR, feels like an unnecessary hanger on. The only really unique aspect of his personality seems to be alcoholic shitdisturber, but in FotJR he would the local, the one who knew everybody and could connect the largely foreign contingent to Sandpoint itself.

Beyond that, Etan is full of interesting possibilities for PC-PC interactions. I especially like the idea of Etan being a bit of a rival to Casimir for Valeriya's affections, and an eventual confidante to Aranha regarding life as a shapechanging humanimal.

Could a god of thunder and winds also represent law, justice and order? After a catastrophic holy war, or pantheon got three new foreign deities that ended up in the setting's material plane to replace the old ones who died. One of them comes from Takamagahara, the overworld of the Shinto gods. He already is the god of thunderstorms, hurricanes and flying creatures, but absorbed the aspects of the dead god of order. So my GM introduced us to 'something' last session. I'll recount the events:

Are there any feats or traits that make earning money easier to do? Is appraise a worthwhile skill to take? Maybe a profession skill? I'm looking for guides and everything but from what I'm seeing a lot of this stuff varies by campaign/DM and there aren't many resources to be found.

As far as skills are concerned, maybe I'm missing something, but I don't know that I see the point. It seems like you can just roleplay most profession-based stuff without having to dump skill points into the actual skill, correct? Is that something a DM would typically have a problem with?

I'm just looking for any and all ways to represent gold dependence mechanically.

Appraise is the perfect skill to take for a build like this, after all you're all about making money so you want to make sure that you're actually selling things at the rate they should be sold at. If I'm not mistaken there's also a feat that allows you to sell things at 75% of the listed price to vendors as opposed to 50%, or is that a skill?

As for Profession, the whole basis behind that skill is that it's literally just "the ability to make money from doing this trade effectively". It's also essentially the crunch to back up your character's fluff, because with how PF works just because you as the player know how market economics works doesn't mean your character does unless you prove it with investing your numbers.

My concern is that I don't have enough skill points to cover everything I need to take as well as fluff skills like appraise and profession. Initially I actually really wanted appraise (specifically to pair with the Scavenger's Eye feat that's available to Tengu), but I asked around /pfg/ a few times and the general consensus was that it was a complete waste of skill points.

At first level I have 8 skill points that have been placed in bluff, diplomacy, disguise, perception, sense motive, sleight of hand, and stealth. I'm also looking at a prestige class for down the line that requires 5 ranks in both knowledge (religion) and (arcana). So those points are spoken for as well.

I'd really like to be able to take appraise and profession, I just don't know how to budget for it without losing other things that are equally (or more) important to me.

Anyway, in response to your concerns, it sounds like you might be spreading yourself a bit thin there. It sounds like you're going to be starting off pretty low level, so I'd suggest maybe lowering the investment into some of those skills and perhaps swapping them out for trait boosts instead if you REALLY want to get bonuses to them. Disguise and Stealth in particular seem to me like investments that you may not necessarily need to take compared to the other skills you need as the "fluff" skills.

I put that in quotes because if a significant portion of your character is being dedicated to essentially being a trader any decent GM is going to use more trading mechanics so as to challenge your character so your party's WBL is just automatically shattered, you're still going to have to work for it.

I've already encountered multiple traps with DCs 30+, big damage or instant kill effects, that are also CR7. By vanilla, do you just mean stuff in the DMG?
