roll20 isn't as bad as it seems, but there will of course be the occasional bad people. I think its moreso the worse are much more memorable. And you will have to be a bit thorough to not get matched with europeans.

I was beta as fuck when I joined a random game. Just play a character who likes to do shit on his own in his free time. Like a monk/cleric who prays alot, or a wizard who prefers books to people.
