I'm making a setting where ghost PCs are a thing. These ghosts can turn intangible and pass through objects. Debating saying there's a material they can't pass through.
Whats a suitably thematic material? "Sacred/holy things" isn't a good answer for the setting.
Iron? Salt?

wood from certain trees?
Metal from specific regions?
>The wood from the Aberdash tree, isn't the strongest wood, but it has the additional effect of stopping ghosts
>The metals from the volcanic region of Bumblevolcanofuckville, make weak weapons, but will stop ghosts

Copper. It's in wiring, and ghosts might be made of some electromagnetic radiation stuff. Copper's common as hell, it's in wiring, in electronics, and consumer goods too. It's a nice way of saying "Hey don't go through some walls, you might run into wiring"

What system? I ask because 3.5 had Ghostwalk, a campaign setting focusing on ghosts (yes, even playing them).
silver, in a powered circuit.
when connected to a battery - even a crude one - to a ghost's sight, silver becomes a pale shimmering wall.
