Anybody here ever played Gloomhaven?
I have heard pretty amazing things about it. Since the second printing is being put on Kickstarter I figured I would throw some cash at it because it is $40 cheaper than retail that way.

I find it great that the actual game weighs >20 fucking pounds and comes in a box big enough to bury a midget in.
Supposed to take years to complete the campaign. Legacy game, which is good and bad for various reasons, but supposedly there are removable stickers and stouter map you can order for it already and the PC sheets and Campaign sheets can be printed off for free as well which makes it replayable, although from what I have been seeing, good luck finishing the massive bastard the first time.
Still a big plus for a non-dice driven combat mechanic.

Have you heard these things outside of kickstarter propagation videos? That's the real question.

he's probably heard it from the other folk helping market it.
I'm just going to buy Pugmire instead because it's awesomesauce.

Overrated garbage of a game

>He's only heard from people trying to market it
says the anon clearly marketing another game.

It takes half a decade just to set up.
It's good but it has the same problem I had with KD:M. It's way too big for it's own good. Getting people to go throught Descent 2e was already a crusade on it's own, what I need from my campaign/crawlers is more streamlining not more padding.
>This delivers at the same time as Kingdom Death does
I'm not sure that I even have the free time to go through it, good or not. I may as well hold out as I can get the thing on GameNerdz or whatever for even less than the KS price. I can see myself paying for the physical solo scenarios just to have them on hand, assuming that they won't sell the physical versions separately later.

Worse than Arkham Horrorwith expansions?

It's roughly on the same level. But AH is more fun to play.
