What if the conventional wisdom is wrong? What if thick paint is superior?

I mean, van Gogh was a pariah in the artist community until his death. Maybe thickenism stops being the "lol newbie thin your paints kek" style and becomes the superior aesthetic choice. Who knows.
EXTRA THICC

Thick paint is superior.
But you have to put it on just a tiny bit at a time.
using thin paint.

I aint gonna lie, sometimes I dont thin my paints-- when I paints eyes, edge highlight, and sometimes for buildiings...
pic is my work, not bad for someone who doesnt follow conventional wisdom all the time
I would never try my hand at thick painting, but I'm not gonna lie, if done right (like >>52877603) it gives minis a certain larger-than-life look
Imagine how effete this would look like with thin paint.

DID SOMEONE SAY THICC?
>>52872419
>thinning your paint
>thinking a molecule-thick layer of spray varnish will protect your miniature
We'll see who gets the last laugh when your miniature falls from the table and gets chipped to hell and back. Meanwhile, my several unthinned layers of high quality lacquer house paint make my paintjob nearly indestructible.

Edge highlighting is one of the times less thinning is helpful.
Would you use super oozing thick paint unthinned to do layers though? I don't think you would if you knew what you were doing and had a modicum of patience.
