The main problem is actually that they REcalculate everything anytime any of the numbers that may affect it change.

So this causes stuff like Prescient Dodger to need manual adding but as soon as you touch any values it'll be removed. Monk stats to AC. Also Misc and a few others don't apply to CMD as they should, which ALSO gets recalced all the time.

The druid'll likely be pissed since you're going to end up dropping copies of him in battle except they can fight without fear of death since you'll just replace them. If you're using arrows you'll never ever give a fuck about phantom sun.

Early game bullet users it's pretty good, and later on it's quite good for automatics, though it doesn't work for tech users.

Like ALL combatants, the boosts that buff all outgoing attacks are always good stuff, like Searing Break and Aurora Break.

Same with E.Flux's higher boosts, which allow one to bypass resistances and immunities; something utterly critical especially if using the basic "fire" version of solar wind.

At highest levels, one of the best firearm strikes or boosts are those that auto-threat. Combining this with the maximized-damage boost from solar wind 7 can make for one hell of a shot per encounter.

Here's the problem.
Even if you use just the base value before enchantments, there's a huge issue. At low levels people will be virtually invulnerable due to giant HP pools... yet by around level 10-12 they're JUST as utterly fucked by the same damage, which is now fully applied to them rather than being giga-overkill because it's meant to one-round a dragon.

Say we go with your original half.
This means Quilted Cloth is 50HP while Leather Armor is 5HP. Leaf Armor becomes by far the most powerful light armor, at 250HP.

A Hellknight plate? 1000HP.

I'm excited because I have a friend in the group who prefers sci-fi over fantasy and would definitely be a lot more interested if we were exploring desolate spaceships and hunting xenomorphs versus old castles and goblins. Getting these guys to figure out Pathfinder is a massive pain already so that's why I haven't branched out to another system. Easier to just throw something they already somewhat get at them

Spheres blasting requires SIGNIFICANT investment to be super fucking good since the entire point of spheres is that you need invest to continue getting decent returns on powers. Your side utility potential will depend heavily on what other spheres you branch out of. It really depends on what you want to do.

I was just statting out a fairly generic sorc for a game, and they can get some pretty nice blasting by trading away the lamer bloodline powers. So it got me thinking maybe the same thing could be done with Spheres but better, since as a Sorc if you invest in blasts you ultimately can still cast invisibility, fly, overland flight, then later teleports, wish etc
