Fetlifer here again... that story is actually an interesting case study. If I had to guess the background of that particular couple, I would say that they both liked the idea of a true Collared relationship, however, these kind of relationships are beyond serious, almost sacred. Many treat them as more important than a marriage proposal, with good reason. The level of trust between the two necessary would be fairly equivalent to 10 years of marriage, at least.

My guess is that they both rushed in far too quickly, and it turned out that Plouton here was absolutely inept at being a true master, he just happened to be good enough at scenes to woo her. At the point the relationship is at in the story, I would say that She is absolutely miserable with how he's been treating her, and wants out, but Plouton thinks he needs to pay no heed to it because he now "owns" her. My guess is that soon after she managed to get a third party to intervene and end the relationship after she could take no more, or she straight up ran away. I can't possibly imagine the relationship has lasted 6 years, still going to this day.
