you should see if there is a tool that you might like, a 40mm grenade launcher. it can bring smoke quickly, it can be used to subdue, and it can be used to cause a small quake through the eart.

I think of it as more of a tool than a weapon. the M-40 could be used to hunt gophers, signal a friend, illuminate the sky, it is something you might wish to keep with you when you return to your home or shrine.

Just give martial artists one tool at a time. They will learn eventually.
