Not exactly /tg/, but all the anime conventions I've been to have had games. I know Fanime has a huge room with a bunch of board games (of all types), puzzle games, and a good number of RPG and Card game tables

Yea I've seen a lot of /tg/ stuff at anime cons, but never sat down to play them because I was there for anime stuff. However, I will be running a D&D one shot at an upcoming convention.

Went to one recently
Keep in mind this was in a small city in latin america so there was 40 people tops
Most people had a good time and learned the basics
But i never seen so many fat people in one place on top of the smell
Plus the DM was horrible and he kept an erection for 4 hours straight explaining all the lore of a game that was supposed to be a one shot

I've been to five conventions, and literally all of them had at least one That Guy. Three were in SR games at Gen Con - one edgemeister playing with no less than four negative personality traits (each essentially a mechanic for "but it's what my character would do! XD" shit), and two sulky timewaster rules lawyers. Then there was was That Guy observing Blood Bowl games and commenting to the players that a d6 system with critical failiure/success was 'objectively' bad and got rustled when they started to blank them, and only left them alone when they threatened to call security. Finally at Strategicon 14 there was That Guy who'd pebble-dashed the toilet I went into with nasty taco shits splattered everywhere. Not even a token flush - the bowl was still full. Fucking Cunt.

Same with the /vr/ types. There's a very large group of people at mine that never leave the game room. It's understandable in both cases though. Other than a small comic con and sci-fi con, this area is completely devoid but sports a 14k strong anime convention.

Went to PAX South, saw a fa/tg/uy I'm pretty sure, because he was manning a Defense Grid board game booth, and I'm pretty sure I remember seeing him on here talking about design once.

PAX was fucking sweet. Awesome Expo Hall full of cool /tg/ and /v/ shit, but tons of other fun stuff. They had full on 10 player Steel Battalion set up, that was fucking crazy.

I spend way too much time in the Jamroom, considering that it's a very unique and transient thing to be at a Con, but it's so much fun to just be friends with everyone and just have fun in the perfect place, I didn't mind wasting my Expo time jamming.

Only things i see at cons are people to fuck. No lie, people at cons, if you share their interests, want to fuck like rabbits.

But I'm mostly into shadowrun so I tend to keep to those areas.
