I wanted to share with /tg/ a lot of Dungeons and Dragons stuff I bought today, plus a few items I'm not familiar with. Most of it is Basic and ADD2 stuff that's common. But I thought it would be cool to go through it anyway. There's some handwritten stuff in the pages (in French which I can't read).
First picture is the Holmes set(no dice), the monstet manual, 2E PHB, and a wizard's screen. None of these have handwritten inserts.
Four modules. The last one has a bundle of handwritten stuff in it.
The guy also had almost every issue of the Dragon magazine, but I had no idea what to offer for them.

Nice score.
For all the Dragon magazines in hardcopy? That's several hundred $$$ at least.
Offer $100 and see what he says. You might get a hell of a deal.
In the U1 module is, I believe, a player created sequel. I've never played the module or know French, but here's the first two pages.

Maybe I'll email him. I offered 35, not to be a dick but because I had no clue at all. He definitely wanted more than a hundred though.
La ville de Saltmarsh
Just by observation, I can see the text laying out encounters, describing characters, and giving lore about the area. There is 20 pages front and back, but one part is incomplete.
Onto the two Conan items. Nothing else inserted.
He also had a box of unopened minis and citadel paints. I didn't get a good look, but I didn't have much money on me.
Middle earth play by mail
The middle item is a game report, dated 22/12/95. It's game 112, player 3, turn 0. Apparently this is a part of his free turns and it's the only report, so maybe he didn't spend any money for the service.
A part of the game map
Two forgotten realms accessories, with maps
Two ADD modules
Three non DnD items. Unfortunately, this was the only Star Frontiers item in the set. The bottom game is in French- Tregor:univers medieval fantastique
Four more modules. B3 is the only basic module which is funny because it's the only one of these modules I already own, and I don't even play ADD(yet, afyer this I suppose I'll try). After this is a ton of lankhmar stuff.
The first six Lankhmar items. Several of these have maps but none of them have handwritten inserts.

The first one of these includes another handwritten module (?) Le secret d'urgaan d'Angarngi. This one has a few pages outlining and brainstorming (on the back of some differential equations).
The last items. There's an inventory manifest and more differential equation sheets inserted.
Thanks for viewing. I might go back for the minis and dragon magazines tomorrow. This tripled my DnD collection, which was just some Basic/Expert stuff.
Also it seems like the Lankhmar books are almost complete. I think the only main items missing are the 2nd edition version of City of Adventure and CA2: Swords of Deceit
Pretty good stuff op. I am jelly.
I used to own everything in this thread.
Now I don't.
I'm sad.
Every time someone manages to pick up 2e stuff it maks me happy. I managed to find an origional version 2e PHB and DMG at my LGS.
also managed to pick up Fighter, Thief, and Psionics handbooks, modern reprint monster manual version of the compendium, and decent condition Tome of Magic and Legends & Lore.
There's just something about those old books...
