Alright guys, I need your help-
I'm running a bank heist one-off tomorrow and need the best puzzles you got.
Paranoid war veteran security guard with shotgun and heavy russian accent.

I don't understand

That sounds like a "you" problem. Just like his indecipherable accent.

Go watch Heat instead.
Or maybe Killing Zoe if it's that kind of group.
Finding it, though, that's not the hard part. It's letting go.
Have the teller lock them inside the vault.
After not opening the vault the first two times they ask.
Bank has a dummy safe with an incredibly small amount of money inside. Staff will tell the PCs at gunpoint if they press the issue.
not a puzzle but I got a good bank related trap for a fantasy setting. So you have a room with a decent amount of platinum coins when one of the players tries to take one, the coins transform into an amount of gold coins of equal value to the platinum. Then a round later to silver then finally to copper at which point they are buried and crushed as the room fills with coins. basically they have to be smart enough to escape the room and leave the money. Also makes sense because the bank doesn't actually lose money from having it converted but makes it a lot harder to have it all stolen. Hope you like the idea
The trick with heists is always layered security and no answers. Let the PCs scope out the job and learn almost everything they will face but save one security measure in reserve as a plot twist if things start going too smoothly. Don't necessarily plan a specific answer to each security layer, let the PCs decide amongst themselves how best to tackle and neutralize each defense. Let them do the legwork and gather equipment, steal keys, meet with informants, bribe guards, prepare disguises, etc. Examples security layers might be:
Watchdogs
A High Wall or Fence
Surveilance
Alarms
Security Patrols
Padlocks
Combination Locks
Hidden Doors
Traps
A Heavy Safe
Keeping this as system agnostic as I can. Not sure if this is a high tech or a fantasy heist but you can add in magic or technological defenses as necessary.

Dang, that's brilliant.

Wasn't that same Trap used in Gringots in Harry Potter or something?
