Eventide has great potential with its options but it just does not have that "spark" to it, Hero Academy is opposite (the mechanics are really basic) but it rubs that desire just right.

>This was an unorthodox project led mainly by the Ecclesiarchy, but also involved the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Imperial Guard, and the Adeptus Astartes. Said project was the eradication of what can only be described as a world born of Chaos: Rapture Academy. Recently discovered, this plane was quickly declared a den of unholy debauchery, and had the real potential of becoming a full-fledged den for daemons and heretics, from which any planet in the entire Imperium could be corrupted. Such a threat was quickly mentioned to Ecclesiarch Decius XXIII, who promptly asked, “Why in the Man Emperor’s non-existent beard has this place not been submerged in promethium yet?”
With that, the Ecclesiarchy swiftly came up with a plan on not only eradicating this threat (which somehow did not become apparent earlier, as in, before the Age of Strife), but using the plane itself as a means to find both untainted land, manpower, and technology to combat the numerous foes harrowing the Imperium. To keep such a gateway to much-needed resources relatively intact, a more careful approach had to be made. Information on this plane, and more specifically: the school and its inner workings. Making sure not to alarm the denizens and cause any defenses to be bolstered, the Adeptus Ministorum enlisted the help of noble families, the Adepta Sororitas, and the Adeptus Mechanicus to participate in a most inquisitive way.

Well, it's obvious I'd be in the house named for the Goddess of Beauty. I mean, haven't you looked at me? I'm so much better than the common girl around here. I was born deaf in the north pole. Due to my high level of talent with bending at an early age I was allowed to train under the Grandmaster Pakku. As I grew I searched for a way to cure my deafness (even though by that point I could compensate for it with my bending skill), and began researching medical techniques in secret. I wasn't able to find a cure, but I did discover Blood Bending.
When I reached 15 years old I was declared a master and set off to travel the world and hone my skills. I lost my memories temporarily after attempting a Blood bending/Full Body Cure technique of my invention to grant me a small amount of youth.
During that time is when I met the main cast, and assisted in training the Waterbender with them, until my memories returned, and I left them to return to my research.

The story? okay then...

Long ago in a faraway land, a young apprentice was taken under the wing of a classical necromancer with several tomes under his belt on the other branches of the undead.

Initially teaching the basics of spirit work the apprentice had much talent with working with spirits yet no spark to create or call them from their slumber making him useful in application and invention yet useless in necromantic spirit calling and creation. This disturbed this young apprentice to the point that many months where poured into "Mundane" interactions and utilization of spirits, runes, engineering, creative inventiveness to get around his "disability". Once he was caught gearing into forbidden sciences even The Master was weary of, he was talked down from the transgressions he was about to commit and dubbed "Spook" for his determination and dedication to his first real necromantic school.

Being introduced to the school of Haema and its elvish scripts the Spook learned little and proved to show little interest in most blood-related magics until introduced to the theory of the holy helix and bloodline magics, with gusto this little Spook was interested in the inner workings of the body and its complicated mechanisms fueled by blood, until finally The Master took notice and switched curriculum...

...And at last The Great Tutor was overjoyed that he had finally found a schooling appropriate for his Spook, throwing him through classes of magic mutations, arcane elixirs and subtle arts of the Promraen sciences, The Student ignoring the often brutal work of surgery lessons for more subtle and careful tuning to get his desired effect, at last being awarded the title of "Doctor" by his Master for the creative use and undeniable effect of subtle merging of captured spirits and arcane elixirs to heal wounds and toughen the body, injection of blood to enhance desired physical traits, and transferal of life energies to multiply the vigor of his creations.

"Dr. Spook"

The name was fitting, he was making strides in applications of his craft, prototypes being churned out day and night and when resources did not permit for more prototypes the previous where cannibalized to create more. Spirit weaponry, clone soldiers sturdier and smarter than peer doctors stitching the dead together and robbing graves, plagues that burned away disease and weakness like fire to steel.

All this came to a head when The Doctor was working his way backwards from a partly destroyed tome from the legendary "Doctor Victor V." detailing the works of an elixir that would lend him immortality if he could devise a way to brew it...
...Months passed by with the final preparations being done in parallel to him helping his Master with a project that would move the world if he completed it.

Life from the essence of reality, If such a creature where complete such a creature seen on this earth would be a mere shadow of its true form and its true power. Capable of moving mountains and challenging the gods if allowed to mature enough.

Late one night a mere day before the moon that would allow the piercing of reality and creation of this being from the cloth of worlds, Hobos appeared...
Armed and well trained hobos, these men and women marched upon The Masters tower tasked by The King, and God to burn the heretics desecrating the land and transgressing the most sacred of laws of what not to create "God".

The tower burned that night, and with it all the horde of information and treasure of curiosities accumulated through The Apprentices' training and experimentation, The dead clashed with the living attempting to grant time to the Spook and his Master to quickly gather supplies and run to an old peer and uncle of Spooks cold and lonesome castle.

After gathering his tombs and creations, he found his master pinned by a piece of burning debris, mortally wounded by a cleric of The Mother...

First, take arcane encryption to stop people from using the best spells.

Then, choose dragon form and wraith charm.

Now, take arcane thesis and magna anima on dragon form, and use them both on dragon form.

Perma-cast dragon form, getting wraith charm alongside it for free. This costs you 15 off your max mana and 20 months of your life. But now you are a permanently invisible super dragon, and this cannot be dispelled under any circumstances.

Now, pick divination so you can more easily find others, and stop them from finding you.

Then, pick homward and vanish to stop people from being able to escape you once you find them. Now you can walk right up to their face and blast them with fire, and repeat as necessary.

Anyway, the Mother loves her humans so much that she granted mankind only a short lifespan, as she wants to embrace them after a full life. Thus extending your life with magic is seen as 'abandoning the Mother', and there is an entire order dedicated to returning those to her. Also, she's the only one allowed to create life, and as such she severely dislikes what us Necromancers do on a daily basis.

There are a lot of bad people that want to do bad things, so it only makes sense that I myself must become horrifying in my abilities to act as a deterrence against those actions being directed towards myself and Inas. There are all sorts of potions with horrible effects like controlling minds and emotions, so of course I'll have the antidotes on me in case they're ever used on something I care about. You know what some people think is worse than death? Eternal torture, and with mastery of illusion it's entirely possible to inflict on others! Even better if I can make a potion that repeats a single illusion on loop for someone so that I don't have to perform upkeep on the spell. All that knowledge on magical theory synergies well with Arcane magic in case I need to directly attack something. Also I have a fucking stand. I only want one decently powerful summon I'll stick with the entire time, and I'll use illusion to make it look even more horrifying and powerful, like some sort of constantly shifting multi-eyed mass of God knows what.

Being born in Nemen, I was raised by a nomad. My entry in Jah'Kara Tel was only a matter of time after that. There I met Lyndy. She seemed like a desert, one with plenty of secrets to underneath. Kind Eldaah and a bright kobold called Duxix were some of my acquaintances, but it was not until I listened to Farhat that I was able to get closer to Lyndy. I intended to get her attention by entering the Battle Royal, but I was pummeled by Helena, from Uzuza. I was shocked when Lyndy suggested we took part of a 5v5 Battle Royale. I was more shocked when we made it far. I visited the pits of the Basilisk Den again only to be pummeled by Helena. During the Gathering, I was called by the princess. I was to be her bodyguard which, I assume, was due to the good impression we'd left during the Battle Royal, as Duxix and Eldaah were there as well. The third year, we had a transfer student. Did you even read my build? I took some drawbacks for more points and explained them all in my backstory. But the worst drawbacks I got from ROLLING for one of the mysteries! And I explained all of them and where they came from and how I plan to deal with them.
