All the time.

>What do you consider good lore?
Hard to codify, I'd describe good lore like porn, you'll know it when you see it.

I write lore for my campaign's world all the time. I really enjoy doing a lot of worldbuilding so i try to do it whenever i can. However you really only need to write enough to have a general idea about what to say if your players ask you about it.

>a vast tomb filled the ancient's statues of the past.
Maybe write down a couple names and say some descriptive mildly descrptive text about it.

I also find that good or bad lore is mostly only as good as you present it. In terms of a more objective point of view, don't do alot of cliché's. If you have/want to, don't go nuts with it. Also making sure the lore isn't always just neat tidbits, and is actually relevent to the campaign helps. Makes the players actually interested in it.

I usually write a bit of base lore for the place the first couple of sessions are going to take place in, and then expand upon the lore between sessions based on the stuff i made up during the game.

Good lore is lore that I care about, whatever form it may take. Your lore can be shallow and simple, but if you can get me interested in it, it's an enjoyable experience.

Kind of a thing I've started doing recently is having a group dropbox for sessions (since all my players have laptops or smartphones) and doing a Mass-Effect style "codex" thing in the dropbox. Every time the party goes to a new city or meets an important NPC or interacts with an important artefact, I put a short little blurb about it in the dropbox.

Loads.
Personally, I have deepest lore, but have to restrain myself from just dumping it on my players because I feel like it's going to come in handy to them later.

I really like the idea of Ogres who are kinda honor bound to help people who are fighting against uneven odds. Like, if a castle is under siege from a much bigger army? Bunch of Ogres will show up, smash the sieging army until it's a fair fight, then leave. But of course they actually have no allegiance to the morality of either party. They'll smash up the Army of Light as they siege the Dark Lord's castle trying to stop him from attaining ultimate power just as often as they'll hold a bridge for a rebel army lto escape from the evil emperor's wicked General.

That's pretty fucking cool, anon

Roll20's journal is something I use to get largely the same effect.

Good lore is like Dark Souls lore, in that you see a bit, but that's only scratching the surface. The more you pay attention, the more connected things are. You don't even realise there's been a civil war between the gods, but there are broken statues, misplaced iconography, and hints to missing deities in various item descriptions. That sort of thing.

How does one do that in a table top setting?

Obsidian Portal has the best tools for this kind of wiki.

Show, don't tell. Don't do a massive info dump (printed or spoken) about your world. Build the world in the background. Write personal notes about it to make it logical and consistent, but only leave fragments and little references as clues for the players. If they're interested in the actual lore *they* will seek out more lore and make the connections themselves.

I've been writing my own in-universe Bestiary for awhile when I don't have the inspiration to continue the story.

I can usually use the bestiary to piggy-back on for events that happened that allowed the writers to have been able to study the creatures.

I regularly write a bit of lore as well. Such as Goblins varying wildly in appearance due to a curse in a majority of their bloodlines because one Goblin thief decided to steal from what was a goddess at the time. The Goblin in question was held up as a hero, a celebrity, of the old Goblin culture, and she had many children. Unfortunately, the curse runs through blood, and all of her children gradually looked more and more hideous, and some lineages even looking downright monstrous.
