>two or three All Flesh Must Be Eaten threads in 3 months
>almost no games of it played on roll20
>no one talks about it often at all
>very rare to find games in person, physical books hard to come by
>met several people who all said they wanted to play but could never find groups.

Why is All Flesh so 'obscure'? It's a genuinely good and fun system, and when it's discussed here it's almost always favorably, but barely anyone seems to play it. Why hasn't it gained any traction in the zombie-obsessed culture we're in?
>>
I think zombie culture has died down for the most part. It's no where what it used to be in 2009-2012, and I feel thats part of the problem.

While it may be a good system, I know Post-Apacolyptic is a fantasy setting people tend to not like because of its various limitations and over all atmosphere of everything sucks.

It also has the Walking Dead label, so people might see that as "OH, AMC is trying to milk the Walking dead for all its worth, lets shit out an RPG." So people may not actually like it based on that assumption.

I've never played the game nor have I ever played a zombie setting, but I have played post apacolypse settings that caused our more casual players to not have as much fun.

I found it too eager to say "do it however, GM" for my taste. I remember giving myself a migraine trying to figure out how hit location rules worked and finally gave up and made my own, which I'm pretty sure is what they expected me to do.

I did like some of the lore in the supplements. Croatoan was a neat setting.

It is fairly open, but I honestly prefer that to something a lot more strictly ordered when it comes to a post-apocalypse setting. It has the right amount of depth and the right amount of streamlining. It's not some kind of GURPS system where you're expected to more or less build the system yourself, but it also is relaxed with a lot of things, letting you make the game as you go. The combat is also almost always exciting, quick, and lethal.
>>
Good fluff but I personal prefer a different system

Such as?

Oh, fuck, I was supposed to go on a run with an Urban Dead group, waaaaaaaaay back in Urban Dead's heyday (2008-ish). One or two interest check threads over the course of FOUR FUCKING YEARS, an anime rando asking if it'd be freeform or pen-and-paper and if everyone was starting in different locations and quitting the group right after the DM-to-be clarified them, aaaand random "sorry mate but I gotta leave" posts way back in 2009.

Bruce Sponagle, if you're around, Glenstone apologizes for high school bullshit. :V

Anything that isn't big in itself won't be played or discussed online.
Great unknown games out there: gunslingers and Gamblers, Atomic Highway, AFMBE and other unisystem games like Army of Darkness, ...
>>
>>52424459
Played a Buffy campaign in Unisystem once. It was okay.
>>
>>52427301
Tell more pls. I have Army of Darkness and think about expanding it with buffy, there's magic in buffy, right?
>>
>>52427405
There is magic in Buffy, yes.

The magic rules in ghosts of Albion are better though. Same basic system, but revised.

And Buffy and angel and Goa have a googly amount of traits for diy templates for supernatural types.

They also have simplified NPC rules and combat works different.

And iirc skills work the same but it's a more condensed skill list.

You can often add stuff from classic Unisystem to cinematic if desired though, without too much trouble.
>>
>>52427486
Ghost of Albion is cinematic too?
>>
>>52424459
I'm actually doing a low fantasy dungeons and zombies game right now, I personally love the system and the players seem to enjoy it.
>>
I use Unisystem for stuff beyond just zombies and post-apoc. Fun game and used to be my go-to.

Yes it is.
