Still trying to perfect this.
Changelog: Slightly modified the wording for Pyramid Hat, and I... think I did some other minor change, that I can't recall? Anyway, again putting this up for review.

from what I can tell, it makes an angel with the Entire Angel Perk tree

whats are good jumps to get the ability to grant wishes? i know i can just use my regular powers to fulfill requests but that seams like it would take a while to develop a wide range of powers to cover multiple types of wishes.
>>
>>52364028
Presumably the Wish and/or Miracle spells that high level spellcasters can learn in the assorted D&D settings would qualify.
>>
>>52364028
become a wizard in dungeons and dragons create a ring of wish at will, which is Technically legal Within the item creation rules, use the Genie from Disney Princess to become a free genie.
>>
>>52364028
There's the Genie from Disney. You could even ask him to become one yourself.
One of the Nen abilities from HunterXHunter is exactly that.
...I think there was something like that in one of the Alice jumps, maybe?
>>
>>52364067
>use the Genie from Disney Princess to become a free geni

With all the power of a bound one, be sure to stipulate that.
>>
>>52364013
It's quite a lot better than that, since it gives you your own Avacyn.

MtG strength is hard to solidly quantify though, aside from a card's power/toughness.
>>
>>52364028
Sorcery from Viking Saga lets you grant ironic wishes.
>>
>>52364100
I think that's a different spell / perk entirely.

There's one to make people into angels, then there's Protector.

So Jumpers what is your master plan?
And could you defeat her at her peak?
>>
>>52364140
Metal Vessel users and Magicians can get to around island / city busters.

Then towards the end of the manga Sinbad becomes a universe destroyer / creator because of his position as SPOILERS the reincarnation of David / Ill Ilah, aka God. But that's a power level irrelevant to Jumper.
>>
>>52364122
I don't think so? There's an option in the jump to be an angel yourself, or for imported companions.

But Protector (and the Avacyn-creating Oldwalker spell that's based on) is the only way to /make/ angels in Innistrad.

You son of a bitch why did you remind me
>>
>>52364182
Of course. It's easy. You simply set aside your phenomenal cosmic power and omnipotence granting MacGuffins and defeat her at her own game. By becoming Raccoon Man and leading an army of raccoons against her squirrels. Raccoons trump squirrels, you see. Afterwards you take your peerless raccoon army and conquer the entirety of Marvel.

For none could long stand against squirrels. Who could hope to match raccoons?
>>
>>52364215
Is it?

Shit, I may be mis-remembering then. My apologies.

>>52364182
...I have a lot of questions about this comic but I'm just gonna ask the most obvious one.

How did SG get Hellboy's gauntlet?
>>
>>52364182
I can't beat Squirrel Girl. Nor do I really want to try.

As for my master plan? Don't really have one. Mostly I just want to punch dudes. It's actually going horribly. Not because I'm losing these fights, but because I've inadvertently wound up with my most effective strikes being done with an open hand. Chops and knife-hand jabs, that sort of thing. It's been so long since I've punched. I miss it.

>>
>>52364292
Squirrel Girl is weak versus Regular Bullets. She's invulnerable because it's funny. Nothing's funny about randomly going up to put and putting a bullet in her gut and having to lay in a hospital to recover for a couple months because you punctured her stomach and grazed her lung.

Also why the hell would anyone want to kill Squirrel Girl? She's comedy relief, though I do admit they've taken the comedy relief thing WAAAY too fucking far by now.

>>
>>52364329
Crux, look at me: I am a man who is facing an existential crisis because I don't have cool enough punches. There is no way for me to cause harm to Squirrel Girl that wouldn't invoke rule of funny. Trust me, if I tried to shoot her I just know it would lead to wacky hijinks. But it's fine, because as you said, there's no real reason to want to kill her. Doreen's nice, I've got no beef with her.

So, Big Top from Soul Eater.

Clowns have nonsense biology. But it's still biology at the end of the day, right? Would it be possible to infect them with viruses? Specifically the Renegade (with the Blue Queen perk) from Double Cross, and the virus you can build in Resident Evil (with the Cross-Species option, of course).

>>52364649
I'm not sure if " composed of pure madness" count as having biology Anon.
>>
>>52364607
No. I'm never bored anymore. There's always something worthwhile to do. I'm full of love for everyone around me and willing to help them if they're willing to be helped.

It's horrible.
>>
Would you be able to aquire Superman's DNA by going to Animrophs even through that weird DRM thing he got going on? If not, what would you use to get past that?
>>
>>52364721
Sounds horrible. You should kick a kitten every once in a while. You know, relive those good old days when you were human.
>>
>>52364649

I don't believe so. I don't know how Renegade works, but viruses from Resident Evil rely at least somewhat more on something that makes more sense than clowns. Like, some might bleed, but it's almost definitely more of an aesthetic effect than actual life giving fluids. Some Clowns aren't even made of organic materials.
>>
>>52364607
Yes. So long as I still have my emotions, free will, and empathy I'll always consider myself human.

And if anyone says humans still have to make mistakes, die, etc. I just tell them that there's no reason you can't improve the definition of human.
>>
>>52364649
Renegade can infect literally any physical object. So yes on that one.
>>
>>52364649
It wouldn't matter. They can survive and redo themselves even if completely erased as long as they're close to the source of their madness or their 'proto-souls' are connected to it.
>>
>>52364686
>>52364768
Ah, RIP.

Clowns are still really cool, so I'm taking the perk even if they're gonna fall behind on the template stacking/buffing compared to some of my other minions.
>>
>>52364768
>>52364816
Renegade can infect even rocks, so Clowns would probably be infected as well.
>>
>>52364768
Dude, Renegade Virus can infect rocks.

ROCKS.
>>
>>52364607
There is no chance in hell.
>>
>>52364816

Yeah, Clowns are still super cool and if what >>52364825 and >>52364801 are saying is true then that should still work. Clowns are still (usually, barring certain individuals) tangible beings, so whatever this Renegade thing is should be able to latch onto them.
>>
>>52364830
It even managed to infect the Collective Unconsciousness. Some of the Renegade Beings were born from Legends.
>>
>>52364859
Yeah, though that's less it literally infecting the Collective Unconsciousness and more just imprinting on it. Like, Renegade doesn't propagate through the Collective Unconsciousness, it just senses it and assembles a collection of viral particles into a creature in the legend's shape.
>>
>>52364607
Stopped being human within the first decade.
>>
>>52364607
Oh, of course. I mean, unless I'm stuck in my bodymod body or final form, I'm typically running on an updated version of the human body. (I think it's mk7 now? It'll likely be upgraded to mk8 when I go to Fate so that I can integrate magic circuits, maybe I can piggyback them on the body's chakra pathway.) It deals with a great number of problems the human body generally has while upgrading it with various useful things that I could integrate biologically.

Also it breeds true with homo sapiens, though I'm not sure what effect it'll have in fantasy settings. This will be tested in the future.

On a related note, I have a tendency to upgrade people when I go to jumps if they want it. Which means a more robust immune system, enhanced senses, etc, etc, etc.
>>
>>52364607
My first four jumps were me being in some form or another of undead.

I have so many unhuman alt-form and so much demon/deity/AI/monster in me that I doubt that I can be even remotely considered human any more.

I'm... humanoid. That's close enough, right?

My body's been entirely rebuild from the ground up (with a definite humanoid, but non-human look), I've been tinkering with my mind (which was harder to do after I didn't need my brain anymore, but felt more 'real' somehow), and my soul's... well. It's got all kind of bits and bobs, and is kind of weird to look at. Probably still the part of me that's the least changed over time.

I mean, there's this >>52364656. Which is a good philosophy for those that attach some sentimental value to the quality of being 'human'...

But I feel there's a difference between being a human, and being a person. I fit the latter, but not the former.

>>
>>52365140
I was never good enough at math for that, so I always just vagued my way through it. I'm not at the sum-total of listed power levels, but I can still chuck a car a reasonable distance with only 2 car-chucking perks.
>>
>>52365157
That it is. When even SB shows more restraint in their powerwanking, you know something's gone wrong. Seriously, even their "challenges" have significant drawbacks. Here it's just free omnipotence.
>>
Anyone working on a Monogatari Jump? I just finished Nisemonogatari and I kind of want to make a Jump for the whole series when I get caught up.
>>
>>52364067
Wishing to be a genie is a bad idea, considering that Jafar in the first movie lost because he wished to be a genie...which meant that he was bound to a lamp.

Be sure to state that you're a genie that's not bound by anything.
>>
>>52365201
I don't care if anyone goes off like you keep accusing everyone of, nothing's going to change that. I just said I don't talk about it because everything is seen as shitposting and nobody gives a shit about anyone having stories anymore, maybe you could do the same.

Yeah. Well, in as much as I'm anything. I identify with humanity more than anything else. So if I'm going to classify myself based on something beyond my own existence and deeds, then I'm human. Not in any quantifiable sense as both my body and my soul are a mangled mash of a hundred different things, but I still have my will and the freedom to do with it as I choose, so I'm still human.
>>
>>52365233
I don't even do diminishing returns, I just use whatever the biggest bonus is.
>>
>>52365140
Ignoring the fact that this is bait, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that. I spend most of my time doing tedious math already, I'm not going to spend my time here calculating the exact quantities of how much each perk is diminished.
>>
>>52365256
So you never have a reason to take more than one of a related kind of perk or ability? All of your actual purchases are redundant after 50 or so jumps at the most?
>>
>>52365233
>>52365140

I like to use negative returns, where each redundant powerup decreases my total ability. Having taken a dozen strength perks, I can no longer lift objects lighter than a book. I find this to be the optimal balance for a truly interactive jumpchain.

What is there to humanity, but their bodies?

The soul? Intangible and unknown, a non-factor.

The mind? A fragile thing, often repugnant or guided by biological and evolutionary constraints.

No, I am not human.

I stopped being human when I removed my capacity to feel fear. I lost my humanity when I exercise base evolutionary mechanisms from the core of my being. I lost it when I removed my capacity to help those I hate. I lost it when I made myself capable of loving many more people than a human mind is capable of.

I cannot say with certainty whether I am more or lesser. I can say I am /other/.

And I am happy for it.

Journal Entry # 9389

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is walk away. I haven’t been in this world very long and haven’t gotten to know very many people. We were heading for the wolf tribe but passed through a small village in our journey just for supplies and such. A few hours later we saw smoke coming from them. Apparently a small army of men had set the village on fire and were butchering the people.

Well we of course stepped in and put a stop to that. I Just subdued them, not willing to take a life. I must admit I was tempted when I saw the horrible things that they had done. What’s worse is I found out they were after me and this was going to keep happening. I am still not sure how I maintained control. I wanted to do all sorts of horrible things to them. They deserved it. Instead I wound up turning them over to the remaining people of the city who were now healed and armed to take care of. What happened to them after that I can’t really say I care.

(to be continued)

Val, would buying the entire Scientist perk tree plus Frakenstein's Notes allow me to reach the level of the masters of Modification fairly quickly? I'm aiming to try and master all the science stuff as soon as possible. Oh, also, for the Hybridization perk, does it have to be direct conflict? I mean, would something like piloting an Evangelion (which puts the same sort of stress on you as direct conflict) count for that?

Journal Entry # 9394

We found some more men after us as we entered in to the wolf territory. They as it turns out were Poachers after our coats. As we had made contacts with the Wolfskin, they did not fare very well. We explained our situation and that we sought refuge for a while to get our things together and prepare to face the army that was fallowing us.

The wolfskins despite being from a different country than us have treated us rather nicely. I think they are kind of sympathetic to our plight and impressed we made it to them. I hope that we haven’t brought too much trouble to their doorstep. They seem secure in their beliefs in themselves. Still I have offered them several potent Items to defend themselves should my enemies come for them.

Well they have attacked again a few times. Thankfully we have taken some captives. At first they were less than willing to explain what they were doing. However I am a bard and though it pains me I have the means to changes peoples’ minds. The first captive I so entranced though dissolved in to water. I felt horrible about that and deeply angered. There was a horrible curse on them. It took a lot of effort but I broke the curse.

Free of the curse the remaining soldiers were quite helpful. I know now of the kingdom that lies beneath the bottomless Canyon. I know of the mad god king dragon the rules it with an iron fist and his hatred for me and humanity.

He apparently thought I would be the biggest obstical in his plans to wipe out humanity. It looks like he was absolutely right.

It’s a little sad I heard that the war between Hoshido and Nohr had heated up. I was going to go see if I could help to resolve thing and maybe save some lives however it looks like I am needed elsewhere.

(To be continued)
>>
>>52365660
Journal Entry # 9456

Well that could have gone better. I had no Idea the dragon was that strong. His power was overwhelming and he was able to call up powerful servants at will. This was all after sneaking and fighting our way through his army and in to his castle.

He was neigh invulnerable. Only my strongest companions really could hurt him. I managed to wear him down with my speed and evade his attacks. If I had to fight him alone I don’t know that I would have won but together we barely managed to bring him down though most of us are injured, some of us badly. Thankfully Priestly magic has gotten all of us back on our feet.

With the defeat of Anankros and the restoration of the kingdom of Valla we have sent out word to Hoshido and Nohr that they were behind the war and told them of the spies on both sides who were working for Anankros. Apparently it caused quite a bit of a problem as one of them was the king of Nohr but the war is off and some lives have been saved. The crown princess has returned and has reclaimed her throne.

Buying everything should put you way beyond anyone save Frankenstein or Agnes, and technically more advance then them in specific areas, and you'd catch up to them overall in a few years, before the end of the jump, as long as you're making sure to read the journals and test stuff out.
>>
>>52365531
Psh, being an otherkin would imply I thought I was something other than human.

But no, I'm not a reincarnated elf or whatever the fuck they think they are. I'm perfectly aware I'm human from the start.

I'm just a guy, painfully aware about the facts of human behavior. There's just so many... limitations, inherent mechanisms, pitfalls, and things that just don't work outside their evolutionary basis.

The human mind is good enough. But it's not great.

>>
On a related note, are Hylians humans or elves?
>>
>>52365883
Yes.
>>
>>52365883
They're humans. The games call them humans. Specifically they're humans descended from the people Hylia liked best and were blessed with extra magical potential and the ability to hear the gods and spirits.

They're not elf-like at all. They live in a settled medieval kingdom, not in the woods.
>>
>>52365883
Humans but with pointed ears, extended lifespans, and magic.

So basically elves.
>>
>>52365457
This perk doesn't look to be your superiors, though. It seems to be for completely unaffiliated organizations. Like, I could walk up to the Prophet of Truth, challenge him to a duel, push him out of his wheelchair and inherit the Covenant. Or plenty of other people that rule over vast swathes of land without having much personal power.
>>
>>52365457

>those superior to you within an organisation or faction

Sounds like your superiors to me.
>>
>>52365948
>By defeating in combat those superior to you within an organisation or faction
It is meant to be within an organisation you are already in, not just any group regardless of your relationship to them. And yes, those are all possible examples of uses of the power. You'd need to be an accepted part of the covenant but the perk would work if so.

I'm a little confused on something. Lord of the Blood says that Blood Reign allows me to create vast quantities of blood and use it to attack others, but am I actually creating it out of nothing? Or does it come from my blood? Also, could I create other kinds of blood besides red blood. like Black Blood from Soul Eater? Finally, how long would it take me to reach the level of the Noblesse's level of power/skill?

>>

It can do crazy stuff like magic, but I'm pretty sure chakra is a separate energy from what would be considered magic if that's what you're asking.

Fucked if I know. I agree with the guy that they should be considered human, or at least semi-human. But they ARE distinctly different from "round ears".
I wouldn't go so far as to call them elves, but I would say they are "elf-like"
>>
>>52366236
No
>>
>>52366321
Being that such would be magic I'd hazard that it would depend on the belief and/or intent of the person who imbued that magical effect into the weapon.

Or for simplicity's sake just consider them half-elves when dealing with such things, since canonically they're humans, but they also share many traits with elves that might make them count as elves as far as magic is concerned
>>
>>52366346
Energy pools don't matter when classifying something as magic. What matters is how it's portrayed in-setting. But yeah, jutsu is hardly magic.

I'm trying to steer my current chain to have a focus on hacking and programing that effects the physical world.

To that end, what are some jumps that can help with either turning things into data (matter, spells, souls, etc.) or for causing supernatural effects through data (like preventing electronics from shutting down, or allowing systems to process data far more advanced than it should be able to)?

Well, there's the Slayer's Tome from Buffy, but that has a few wonky rules to it that you'd have to work around.
There's also the Sword of Mana from Legend of Mana that you can plant in the ground to turn it into the Tree of Mana. Of course, you have to battle a Goddess to gain control of it, but hey, you can do that, right?
And of course, there's the classic Tower from Ar Tonelico, but that tends to have limited range until you add onto it a bit.
I mean, none of those really make /you/ the source of all that magic, but they're the closest I can think of off the top of my head.

I'm older now, but I'm still the same man I have been all along. And while dramatic moments are annoying and I tend to snap at people (which causes others to take offense and possibly take a swing at me), most of the problems from Let's You And Him Fight come from the moment when I realized things were much worse than they had to be, and they were all my fault.
But the J-Buckle isn't free, and I honestly looked for everything I could shed within reason. There was no way around it.

find a way to get around that writer's block. Play some music, have some movie on in the background, change up your typing position or what time you try to write at, go for a short walk or shower just before writing etc.

Sometimes you also just need to force yourself to write the first few sentences, as just having a blank page in front of you can be very daunting, but it can oftne become much easier once you have something on the page, even if it's just mindless filler.

All the Digimon jumps probably apply to some extent, what with the ability to physically travel to the Digital World and Internet.

Halo has an alien artifact that digitizes people, so you might get something out of reverse engineering that.

Tron's got a laser that sucks people into the computer, again possibly something that may improve your knowledge if reverse engineered.

Negima has some magic that can interact with technology, which might be helpful. Since all of Ken Akamatsu's stuff is heavily implied to be in the same universe any other jumps to his settings should allow you access to such magics as well.

At a stretch Pokemon jumps could help by letting you get(Trainer, Conquest) or become(PMD) a Porygon/Porygon 2/Porygon Z, which are digital and capable of messing stuff up inside computers. And if you can find any of the notes from the scientists that created Porygon it's probably got useful information.

Beyond that, just increasing your ability to hack in general from any modern and/or sci-fi jumps that make it an option should improve your ability to use it to effect the world when combined with an ability that lets your hacks effect reality.

It's probably because I don't agree with anything you've brought up. To me his jumps aren't well balanced at all, if anything they're not balanced, they're just so large that people can't figure out where to start thinking of balance. Similarly his jumps don't reflect a setting well at all, he just pastes so many words in that people think it's fleshed out. I've said it before, a good jump should be able to do everything in 6 pages. The fact that his jumps are 60-200 pages long is a sign that they've failed as jumps.

With all of that, there's nothing he does that stands out besides the narrative. So when you say the narrative is bad, to me there's nothing else that his jumps offer.
>>
>>52367022
Well, in Naruto recombining Indra and Ashura's chakra gives you the Sage of Six Paths' chakra, which is what causes Sharingan(or possibly only Mangekyo Sharingan) to evolve/transform/upgrade into Rinnegan.

Seeing as the Sage of Six Paths can give people chakra systems, you need his chakra to awaken the Rinnegan, and you can buy the Rinnegan for CP, presumably buying the Rinnegan would cause you to have the type of chakra required to give other people chakra systems.

If not, then you can also take the Byakugan and find a way to steal Toneri's chakra to awaken the Tenseigan. Combining the Rinnegan chakra with the Tenseigan chakra should theoretically give you Kagura's chakra, which is the source of all chakra, and sufficient to grant it to others.

You'll probably need to figure out HOW to do it on your own though, which I imagine would probably result in a lot of exploded test subjects if you don't have the same intuitive grasp the So6P had.

Well that's why you'd be reverse engineering it to see if there's any merit to the tech and/or methods used rather than simply using it as-is. The fact that it can create those disposable mook troops means it is forcing data onto the physical world in SOME manner at least.

While this makes failure due to human extinction more likely, it does mean that I have a lot of targets for eating with all the Gjaum running around. Time stop plus omega level super speed plus more shadow and wood clones than you can shake a stick at equals easily captured gjaum and evil antagonistic overed to eat. Scry and die buffet. Sadly, between that and cloning up more people to enhance the genetic diversity of the survivors I won't have much time for artificing. I'll also likely turn a variety of blank clones into overed/gjaum to practice my Blue Queen skills and speed the improvement of my Ouroboros. Hagoromo's most powerful technique was the Creation of All Things (Banbutsu Sozo), an ability which allowed him to basically create anything from nothing. He used yang release to shape the physical forms and then yin release to breathe life and souls into the forms that he created. He could also use it to manipulate the physical and spiritual existences of other beings. He used it to split the Ten-Tails into the nine Tailed Beasts.
>>
>>52368509
I'm not sure they actually contribute. Kaguya's chakra split between her two sons. The first son's chakra split between the Uchiha and Senju, while the second son's chakra split between the Hyuuga and the Otsutsuki. The Senju chakra branched to Uzumaki, but you don't need Uzumaki to rebuild the So6P chakra, just Senju and Uchiha.

Either way, you can just also buy the Kaguya bloodline to be sure.

Take a look at the Cyber Sleuth jump if you want an example. Two of the capstones are so niche that it's obvious they aren't balanced against the other capstones. The non background options aren't balanced against anything. The items are all over the place with no sense of balance and his synthesis item is never balanced against anything. You can't ever tell if he expects you to take drawbacks or if a build with 1000 CP is supposed to be viable.

This problem of his gets even worse with his bigger jumps, like that one with twenty backgrounds or something, where it's very obvious that the backgrounds aren't balanced against each other. And those scenarios of his are almost always never balanced, especially the ones where you can pump CP into them.
>>
>>52368595
It states outright that they descend from her, and if you watch the fight you'll know that bone bullshit is one of her favorite things to do.

I think it's pretty clear that the situation with the younger son was more of a split between the Kaguya and the Otsutsuki/Hyuuga, considering how, much like Senju and Uzumaki, the Otutsuki and Hyuuga basically have the same powers, just one of them is much reduced in effect. The Kaguya clan on the other hand has one of Kaguya's main powers, and can't be traced back to the Hyuuga or the Otsutsuki.

By the way, the Izanagi is a much less effective bastardization of the concepts of this technique.
>>
>>52368595
>>52368628
Also, the Kaguya and Otsutsuki/Hyuuga split would mirror the body/mind split shown by the Sage's descendents.
>>
>>52368628
So then you'd need (Uchiha+Senju)+(Kaguya+Otsutsuki) to make her chakra? Since the Hyuuga seem to have a watered down version of the Otsutsuki bloodline, much like the Uzumaki do the Senju bloodline, if the Uzumaki chakra isn't required it would seem the Hyuuga chakra would not be required for the same reason.
>>
>>52368627
At the very least, I can agree FF14 has this issue. A lot of the backgrounds get super focused on their stuff without really making up for that lack of breadth with depth.
>>
>>52368628
The way I did it in my Naruto jump was that like the Uzumaki split off from the Senju, the Kaguya split off from the Hyuuga. Mostly because their bloodlines have to do with taijutsu and the Uchiha/Senju/Uzumaki have more to do with ninjutsu.

Or Kaguya could have been a dirty slut and had an illegitimate child. Who knows.
>>
>>52368661
That would be my guess. Though I'd be willing to guess that Hyuuga would work perfectly well in Otsutuski's place just like how Naruto is the sage's son's reincarnation and receives his power despite being of the lesser Uzumaki branch and not the main Senju one.
>>
>>52368678
All the actual powers the Uzumaki have are present in the Senju. Where in the Hyuuga do you see bone manipulation?
>>
>>52368611
>It's the same with items.
This just undermines your point completely. He has a single capstone item in that jump with a vague power passing effect that isn't even based on canon. What are you trying to balance that against, the perks, or that other item that's over 1000 CP if you take all of it? Neither of those would be balanced. You're balancing a power passing item against a digital avatar perk, a Digimon creation perk, a perk to create low level digital deities, and a training perk. Not even the scope on these is anywhere close to similar.
>>
>>52368627
I can't say I agree, but thank you for being one of the first fuckers who posts along these lines to actually VOICE these criticisms instead of just being a vague arsehole.
>>
>>52368638
Well, there's a huge fucking leap in power-levels when the series starts nearing the end-game, so probably right before that point. If it's just power-levels you're looking to cap. If there are aspects of the story you dislike, then it gets a bit harder.
>>
>>52368611
Please stop responding to hate bait.
>>
>>52368685
I don't know about that. The chakra chains are the most obvious. Their propensity for fuinjutsu that others clans didn't seem to have is another. Didn't they have a lot more stamina than other clans as well? Plus, there's the sensory and medical abilties that Karin had that are specifically Uzumaki abilities.
>>
>>52368587
>>52368638
Why do you want to cap powerlevels? How would you even do that unless you write a fanfic where that happens and jump in it.
>>
>>52368712
Propensity seems to be cultural looking at Naruto. The chains could just be a secret technique (not one given by blood, just knowledge kept within the clan.) The stamina boost is present in an even stronger form in the Senju. Also, the best medical ninja in the series is a Senju, the only thing Karin does you don't see Tsunade do is the heal bite masochism.
>>
>>52368677
>FF14
Well it does offer 3 backgrounds absolutely free with the ability to buy more for only 100, but I'm pretty sure that the Farming Perkline should not equal the Black Mage Perkline in combat capabilities.
>>
>>52364607
I mean outside of the context of jumpchain I consider 'personhood' and 'humanity' to be the same thing. And I'm not genetically a human anymore, but I guess I still have my humanity?

Doesn't really matter either way, but I like to think that I can fit both definitions if I felt like it.
>>
>>52368677
I have never seen a jump from this guy that doesn't suffer from this problem, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks his jumps are bad because of this. There have definitely been other people who have brought up how he never seems to have regular options in his jumps because he always goes for these special snowflake things.

We're not even discussing how for 90% of his jumps, he uses several paragraphs to say something that a better jumpmaker could do with one sentence. His scenarios are proof for this, just compare other jumpmakers that have made scenarios to his. Why does he take dozens of pages to do something that another jumpmaker does with one paragraph? I don't know why he gets this special treatment where people rush to defend him and overlook all of these problems. Now nobody can even voice these issues without being called a shitposter.
>>
>>52368685
The stamina is also a Senju thing, and I don't think it was definitively stated if the rest was an actual part of the bloodline(that is genetically only possible for them) or simply something they were good at like the specialized techniques of the Nara, Yamanaka, Akimichi, Inuzuka and Aburame clans, which could theoretically be used by any ninja and just aren't because those families are more talented at them and/or don't teach outsiders.
>>
>>52368746
Yes, which why I didn't say anything about combat capabilities. Breadth means the variety of things those origins have their perks apply to and depth is how good they are/how strong those perks are at those things. It's not combat related by necessity at all.
>>
>>52368746
That doesn't really seem relevant? Even if multiple are offered for free, which doesn't make much sense in the first place outside of mechanics, having some backgrounds be better then others is still a balance problem, even if you can have multiple.

I think most people don't bother because there's no point. You literally can't say anything bad about his jumps without somebody calling you a shitposter, and on top of that, what's the point anymore? He doesn't take feedback for any of his jumps, and it's clear that his jumps are going to continue being banned because people are anal about him going to SB.

I know for sure that there's a good number of us who absolutely hate these jumps who have nothing to them except wordiness. But if he's not making jumps anymore then bringing it up all the time gets equally annoying. I only brought it up because I didn't get why Sleuth thought the jump was good.
>>
And you guys are forgetting: when the Senju and Uchiha split, did the Senju get the Sharingan? No. Did the Uchiha ever manifest the Wood Release? No. In that case, it's not impossible that at one point, the Hyuuga and Kaguya split off from one clan, and took their respective bloodlines with one another.

>>
>>52369089
Well, considering that it kills you by not only boiling you alive from the inside out, but by literally using up every single last drop of energy that your body has, I don't know if there is anything that can save you. The most I figure is have lots of regenerative perks and stop at the Seventh Gate. Having the Kaguya bloodline helps. Can't break your bones if they're ridiculously strong, and the healing factor should be enough to heal any tendons you break.
>>
>>52369089

Because Rowling is doing it outside of the stories themselves, as word of gods long after the series ended.

It's really more about attitude than powers.

You can have your Rinnegan and not be a special snowflake. Just be a normal person, mingle with the other mortals and don't hold yourself above them or feel compelled to do stupid shit that an ordinary person would never do. Be the voice of reason and normality in a cast full of dumbass geniuses and HARD WORK. Ask yourself realistically; do you REALLY need to be a demigod ruling over the unwashed masses to be happy with your existence? Because at the end of the day, unless you're really into killing people, your only real objective is to make enough money to live comfortably and maybe pick up some friends along the way. So feel free to power up to save the world but if you're endgame is to stand out or rise above everybody else then you're a special snowflake.
>>

>>52369089
Presumably you'd need either a separate pool of source-of-life energy like Magic or Ki that could keep you alive in the absence of Chakra in addition to regeneration strong enough to counter all the physical damage you'd do to yourself. That's not even definite, seeing as people in Naruto survived without chakra before the So6P, but now that they have it they die if they run out, so it might not matter if your body is capable of surviving it or not, it could just be a weird quirk of chakra to make running out completely impossible to survive.

Though I'd imagine if you could figure out how to intentionally close them again after opening them, rather than letting them close naturally, you might be able to shut it off before you run out and only need a high level regen perk to patch you up.

Sorry about taking so long between replies. Putting babies to bed, singing them songs, etc.

>>52368841
Oh, that's easy, I think the jump's good because I can see uses for every capstone that reflect their price within the setting. Letting any monster who wields a weapon become a Royal Knight is totally comparable to slowly building an equally powerful monster, especially since the sword lets you summon temporary allies of similar strength. The perk has more potential in total, but the item is an immediate deployment option with tons of attack potential, especially if you have a support monster of some kid. Eaters aren't allies by nature, so they're only good for saying "fuck you" to a setting, but they're a massive fuck you and can be expected to fight on par with the digimon you build. The only option I can think of as niche is the one that lets your digimon have real affects on the real world, and that's mostly because it's insanely useful if taken alongside any of the other capstones or if you're an experienced jumper with programming skills or AI already available, or if you have East of EDEN. I also like the thought of having the little digital islands, so my opinion on the build your own mini-EDEN section is probably skewed.

I also don't think of 300 CP perks or items as capstones, but that's mostly because they're easy to budget in alongside entire trees. Getting two real capstones is a pain in the ass.

I also really enjoy hearing people with actual thoughts on things rather than people who actually try to stir shit. Having a negative opinion on something is perfectly fine by me, so long as it's actually coherent and not just blank attacks for stupid reasons. Not everything has to be a celebration.

>>52368888

Which of these sounds better for a +200cp drawback?

>Old [100cp]: You're old and while you may have all your memories and skills intact your body has deteriorated to the point where can't do more than walk around and occasionally defend yourself. If you want to do more than sit around and provide technical or strategic support while you're here, you'll need technological or supernatural assistance. However even with that you'll only be able to restore your full capabilities for a short time.

or

>Outcast [100cp]: You possess a mutated or obviously Inhuman appearance that other people find hideous and terrifying, making it impossible for you to live in public and extremely difficult to deal with anyone who'll actually talk to you. Here's mine. No special snowflake bloodlines, just a strong solid foundation on which to learn and grow.

0 Backgrounds: Drop-In. "Pretty self-explanatory. No extra memories, no friends, no family, no experience, no nothing but yourself. You start with an apartment, a week’s worth of food and local clothing. You are considered a member of the village you start in, and have the documents to prove it."

50 Location: Konohagakure.
100 Chakra Enhancement Specialization (Strength and Speed).
100 Fine Control
100 You Have Reserves
000 Elemental Chakra Affinity (first one's free)
150 Sensor Ninja Training
200 Plot Armor
300 Singular Reality
free Basic Gear

Optional drawbacks you could take for more points without making your life TOO difficult.

+0 Boruto! "You start at the beginning Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Springinstead. Alternatively, you may simply increase the duration of your stay by another thirty years."
+0 Fan-Verse. E.g. Dreaming of Sunshine, One Small Kindness, Better Left Unsaid.
+200 Low Priority.
+600 No Chakra Coils. Just be a villager/trader/tourist for the duration of your stay, but only if you have a solid plan for when the plot gets OMGWTFBBQ crazy. You do have a plan, yes?

What you could spend the extra points on, without becoming a special snowflake (well, at least compared to the MCs):

200 each: addditional Elemental Chakra Affinity.
200 each: Nin/Tai/Gen/Bukijutsu Specialization
300 Puppetry
300 Medical Ninjutsu Training
300 Samura Training
400 Therapy No Jutsu
400 Talk No Jutsu

varies: various minor "common" bloodlines, e.g. 50CP Hoshigaki, gray skin and water-breathing gills.

Probably in that order too. Or something similar. Persona would definitely be last. A good mix of awesome powers and comfy Jumps containing people I just HAVE to meet. Kind of sad I can't squeeze Fire Emblem Heroes onto the list. Hell, there's easily a dozen more "Must Haves" for me.

My ideal list would be about 25. I could narrow things down to 25 and go home at the end happy.
>>
>>52369360
Not completely in order:
1. Pokemon Trainer, because I think it would be fun.
2. One of the Digimon jumps, also for fun
3. Highschool of the Dead. Has some cool perks, try to waifu Saeko. Also non-threatening zombie apocalypse seems like it would be some degree of fun and/or interesting.
4. RWBY. Aura's cool, waifu Yang.
5. Bleach. Same energy pool as aura, but much higher power levels, so prepping for my end jump.
6. Naruto. Lots of BS powers to get, notable in the fact that it is fairly easy to get enough power to survive the setting from just this jump, unlike some other death worlds.
7. Worm. Waifu Taylor, give Amy the hugs she desperately needs.
8. One of the DC jumps so I can get at least one variety of power ring.
9. Civ, get some time to train up for the end jump.
10. Either Gurren Lagann because it's the end jump I know best, or DBZ because while I'm not strong enough to survive it on my way in, but I have a head start and if I take Saiyan I should have the growth rate to keep ahead and survive.

Not 100% thought out, just my gut reaction to the question
>>
Do would you say Heartless and Grim are basically the same thing?
>>
Is there any low tech, low magic settings like the HBO Rome?
>>
>>52369371
The thing is all of your points are formed on the idea that the jumper has existing options, and practically everything you've brought up emphasizes the perks supporting other existing abilities rather than standing on their own. This isn't good balance, where each and every perk should be able to stand on their own if this was the only jump in the chain. No perk or item should ever have to rely on another one in order to stand up. Without discounts a 300 CP item is effectively the same investment as a 600 CP discounted capstone, it's still a third of your budget, which is extremely significant.

I don't think that just because things in the jump have uses that it makes the jump good. We have lots of jumps where there are amazingly strong perks and items, but people will still consider the jump as crap. Personally that's the same way I see Dirge's jumps. They're gimmicky at best, and terribly written and organized at worst. It's pretty telling that he has to put hyperlinks into a pdf when no other jumpmaker needs to do so.

If your talking about the Grimm from RWBY then no, Grimm are soulless beings that want to murder everything with a souls because why not, Heartless on thew other hand are Souls corrupted by Darkness and negative emotions.

If You put a Grimm and a Heartless in the same room then it is likely that the Grimm would freak out and try to kill the Heartless while the Heartless would not care about the Grimm.

On the other hand the Nobodies from Kingdom Hearts are similarly soulless beings like the Grimm that attack everything with a soul, so they would be basically the same thing as them, but with a Kingdom Hearts magic flavor.

Aesthetics aside of course.

Anno 2070 gets me eco., colonization, and resource extraction tech. KSP gives me the math I need for space stuff, extra-solar colonization tech, and the ability to make tech modular. Titanfall gives me FTL, mech, AI, and weapon tech. Spiral Knights gets me pseudo-magic tech and a Gremlin form for instinctual tech understanding. GG gives me a powerful Spark, and with a Spark I can do amazing things.

Is there any way to use a Blue Lantern Ring from DC in other jumps? I'd like to be a force for spreading hope, but according to the wiki blue rings don't work without a green one nearby. I guess I could pick up a green ring in Injustice, but that feels like it defeats the point.

Seriously tho, this looks interesting and (from what I can dimly remember) honoring the material.

Can "Come With Me" be bought multiple times?

Perhaps state that the person will believe it without question... if they are a mundane human. After all, this is a purely mundane universe. The note really shouldn't account for any form of superhuman or supernatural interference, and stated as less effective against such targets.

Actually, the logic behind that is that Hao reincarnated twice, so he basically has 3000 cp before drawbacks.

With that in mind, a regular jumper who buys the power option enough times to out do him... No longer has enough cp for a decent spirit partner or any actual skills.
>>
>>52370200
I was looking at the DC jump, and it didn't mention that in the notes.

>>
>>52370219
Been a while since I fucked with that jump, but it's definitely possible to match Hao in raw power and buy a high-enough tier of spirit partner to have them match or surpass Hao's partner in Reiryoku and still get something to actually do with all that juice without getting too fancy with drawbacks. You're right that you basically won't even know how to do anything with it though, but will it really matter?
>>
>>52370248
Of note, that is LITERALLY the only thing I bought in that jump. So I was bluffing him with massive, MASSIVE power but no ability to meaningfully use it.

Green Lantern TAS is what you're looking for. They work all the way without having to have a green lantern by.

>>52370031
Only comics require them to be nearby. The rings work similarly that you can use a Blue Lantern ring from TAS to work with comic book versions of Green Lantern ring.

>>52370037
Green Lantern TAS. Rings are weaker than the Comic versions. However as I said before. Blue Ring can charge the Green Lantern rings and overcharge them even if said ring is from DC. Note that you have buy the ring in DC not steal one. Otherwise it'd only work within the DC jump.

Hearthstone Tavern (??? CP): The deed in your hand looks simple enough, and the key's a simple bronze affair. But what it bears is worth so much more - In your starting location, you'll find a small shop close by a tavern. It'll look simple and neat, tucked out of the way. But inside is something much more.

You see friend, you find yourself the proud owner of a Hearthstone Tavern. A card shop and gaming area cleverly arranged and themed after an old tavern - with a roaring fireplace (actually a clever illusion that still radiates warmth) and a small bar that serves snacks and drinks. But the main attraction to this is of course, the rows of shelves close to the door that are constantly filled with, and updating with, Hearthstone card packs.

Towards the center and back of the tavern you will find a variety of gaming tables, each enchanted to be constantly updating with the rules of Hearthstone - tournament and otherwise. No more angrily disputing card rules with your players! Additionally, there's an... oddly familiar dwarf that constantly mans the cash register at the front of the tavern, always jovial and accepting. Rest assured, your shop is in good hands - even if you're off adventuring elsewhere. You'll find this shop will be in a location of your choice in future worlds, as well.

So how would Shaman king Furyoku and Reiryoku transfer over to Bleach? I need to know if Bleach Reiryoku would be affected from shaman kings so I could go mochirei or shaman

I don't think Karate Kid really counts as just a karate master.
There's some fucky comics shit going down.
>>
>>52370375
Seems easy enough to either take another drawback or give up a few purchases of the power thing to make up for it. Not like you won't still be many times stronger then Hao.
>>
>>52370309
With what?

Shaman King is VERY technique oriented. If you don't have the meta knowledge on how to make an oversoul, then you are literally shit out of luck until you learn.

Even then, given that Hao literally wrote the book that Yoh uses to learn more advanced techniques, he probably has more shit to pull out of his ass.

Wasn't someone doing a hearthstone jump though? It came up a little while ago and they talked with you about that
>>
>>52370243
I believe it was said by the jump-maker in thread, but since it's not explicitly said in the jump there's nothing stopping you (especially since I can't find a link for sauce). In the jump itself the only implication is in the item desc, "When the ring is depleted, around 24 hours of use, it must be recharged." Because in the comics one of the big deals about Blue rings is that they can also continuously recharge (relatively very slowly) from ambient hope.
>>
>>52370403
That kind of stuff is generally considered equal. If two things are pretty much the same and just have different names (such as ki, qi, chi, etc.) then they're considered the same for inter-jump purposes.

If the two are very similar then you'd treat them as being the same thing.
>>
>>52370403
Energy would be energy, most likely. I think the update even uses one of those terms. Not sure why, but it does.

So, either a really powerful human or a really powerful ghost.
>>
>>52370449
And we came to the agreement of neither jump / gauntlet interfering with the other if I included Hearthstone. Plus there is the unfortunate issue that he appears to have vacated to another community.

If he does decide to come back for... whatever reason, is still doing the Hearthstone Gauntlet, and takes umbrage, I'll remove it.
>>
>>52370449
Both of them agreed that the jump and the item would have nothing to do with one another

My hair is generally black. It's fairly neutral power that can symbolize my night and water related powers, though it doesn't do nature well. I like to change its color for certain attacks or situations, though. Like having it do an aurora effect when I'm using light powers or scorching white when using fire.

Eye color matches my mood. No special symbols, I've curiously never gained eye powers. My favorite colors are pale silver or a very light silver-yellow, but I only use those when I'm openly being a deity. Otherwise I pick something muted or only as showy as is appropriate for what I am in the jump. Blue and green are favored.

My default form has no skin markings or inhuman features. However I'll bare whatever the setting assigns to me. If the in-setting power comes with runic tattoos, then I'll have them that jump. If I am a non-human, I'll have whatever traits they grant, skin, fur or scales.

HA! Human? Me? Can a HUMAN shape matter with a caress, cast a rock into the end of time with a breath or tapdance on the edge of a black hole? Does a human have a heartbeat that creates and destroys worlds without end?

What a piece of work is man! How ignoble in reason, how finite in faculty! In form and moving, how base and ungainly! In action, how like a demon! In apprehension, how like a dog! The salt of the earth! The paragon of predators!

No. Even if I wanted to be, even if I missed the blind optimism and ignorant pursuit of comfort-WHICH I DON'T. Having a perfect predictive model for human behavior just shows you how limited they are. They're animals. This isn't a dealbreaker, some of my best friends are animals and humans can certainly become something greater. But I've seen baseline humanity make the same mistakes too often to ever identify myself with it again.

I made my decision a long time ago. From the perspective of something as limited as a human, I'm more of an event than a person.

Yes. Garlock had this entire thing where he manually turned himself into more like a Primordial after going Devil-Tiger. As you know, Primordials are literally made out of their Charms. As in, they have Charms like "I hold X opinion about Y topic" or "I am alive".

Really makes you think about Jumpers who act like they're a big ball of CP purchases and can't do stuff without a perk for it.
>>
>>52372613
Throwing a Green Lantern planet into the sun with such force and speed that he can't do shit about should have been a lot more impressive than that same planet hitting the sun.

Doing them in this order, btw.

1. Hero BBS
>It's more or less a great set of training wheels for an interdimensional adventure and has some of the best social perks I can think of. What's not to love?

2. Sonic Classic
>Some good mental perks as well as more or less just being really fun to jump, for me. I also would do it just for fanboy potential.

3. Street Fighter
>Because I want to fight and fight and keep on fighting till I can't fight no more. I also happen to think some of the girls are extremely gorgeous, not even Chun Li being counted for this either.

4. Kill La Kill
> Not going to lie. My main objective here is Ryuko and Satsuki. Everything else is secondary but cool, I might just get a straight up 3 or 4 star regalia rather than a kamui.

5. Kingdom Hearts
>Because it's one of my favorite settings period and I love the jump, plus some of the perks here are fantastic just for life and whatnot.

6. Kamen Rider Neo Heisei Part 3
> Because Ex-aid is fucking amazing and hopefully I'll have the Expansion Pak done after Ex-aid wraps up in its entirety. I want Gekitotsu Robots & Jet Combat Level 50 god dammit! Everything else is secondary.

7. Gundam Future Century
>Allenby a cute. Plus I get a sick Giant Robot of my own and probably some amazing martial arts + UG cells. (Eagle Gundam Represent!)

8. Super Robot Wars Original Generations - The Moon Dwellers Update
>I further customize my giant robot and while it'll be rough I'll just have a blast following the Steel Dragon group however I can.

9. SMT 1
> I LOVE SMT but I don't wanna try and fight YVWH, especially not with my jumps up till now. Still, I'll jump it just to enjoy it while I can.

10. SBURB
> I'm never going to not have SBURB as the endjump if I can help it, I adore homestuck and I feel like this is the best way to end my chain. Not sure if I have the chops to fistfight Lord English like this but I can use the canon method of kicking his ass if I know what I'm doing.
>>
>>52372650

>>52372653
That's the thing, I'm starting to believe it's not as impressive as it seems just because mogo seems to have been bitchified in Injustice.
>>
>>52372625
And he did that as a side effect of roughing him up a little. That he's asking him a question as he does it shows he's not going for a lethal blow.
>>
>>52372674
This is Injustice Suerman. You think he's not willing to badly injure/torture someone for info/questioning? He may not be going for a lethal blow but there's no evidence that he's throwing a light punch either.

Even if he was, there's a huge difference between damaging a moon's surface on one side a bit and blowing up a planet.
>>
>>52372513
>Injustice characters at their best are generally at comic level characters on a regular day, with Injustice frequently dipping waaay below base comic level.

This is the bit that amuses me with any X vs Y question involving comics characters. What any given character is capable of can vary within a single comic issue, nevermind multiple issues. Someone can crack a moon in panel fifteen then get KO'd in panel fifty without a single nearby building even losing a window.
>>
>>52372673

Here's the thing. A planet only has planet-level durability because of its size. It's not inherently more durable just because it's a planet. Ultimately, it's still made up of Earthly materials like iron, basalt, etc., and spread out over a surface as large as... well, a planet, being a planet will only do you as much good as your weakest link. Which generally, barring GL shields, is going to be pretty weak.

>>52372370

I don't think ribbon bearer actually protects against that, there is no instant death in that game and ribbon doesn't always protect against that in the FF games where both appear.
