So, is this happening for anyone else? Also does anyone else have examples of tg stuff being mistaken for reality?

You understand that Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, right?

>You understand that Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, right?
That's not completely true
It can be edited by anyone with an account but any change is reviewed and reverted quickly if not correct
>>52341672
You are technically correct - the best kind of correct - but it's still true enough for a change like that to be picked up by google before it's reverted.
>>52341672
So what you're saying is that OP edited the page and made the screenshot?
>>52341661
>can be edited by anyone
What's this now?
I'm still getting it, and the wikipedia article doesn't show that image.
Is this happening for anyone else? What do you see when you look up heretic?
>>52342010
Its not wikipedia, its google. It picks up the wiki definition and a well picked picture when someone searches for it on gImages.
If someone says something, they usually fix it.
Do you know the drink Applejack?
It was a horse for a few days.

Search engines use a database that gets updated periodically, they don't search "the internet."
Give the crawlers some time to catch up.

This happens because Google does not use Wikipedia to illustrate the Wikipedia result for a google search - it uses Google Image Search images.
Switch to the Images tab, and surprise, the first results for heresy are all 40k related.
Similarly, looking up Tavros, a suburb in Greece, brings up a picture of the Homestuck character inside the little Google Maps widget.
Weird huh?

Google shows images for its Wikipedia listings based on your bubbles. I googled "pony" yesterday and the wiki image was from MLP.
You guys should maybe use your brains a little before chimping out and making pointless threads.
Look up syndrome, I dare you.
