Not really. Rebirth turns you into some eternal Creating God who designs worlds, moving to the next one when finished.
Ruins seems to potentially turn you into some incomprehensible eldritch entity which might end up being capable of creating worlds too.

Either way Ruins > Rebirth because Rebirth is incapable of properly enjoying his creations. He's just stuck in eternal design mode.

Medeival RPG is probably fine as-is, VR MMORPG is questionable even with upgrades thanks to microtransactions. I think the problem is that for something like magic it ought to take literally decades to learn but given that female characters are demanded to be at least a little bit attractive it is close to impossible to make a compelling female wizard/witch. Sure you can have a few Milfy witches, a few magic anomalies and a few that know flesh crafting/anti aging techniques but it usually just highlights the problem. We just don't want to write about a badass crone, instead we want Geralt to get laid.

If you start training a prodigy at 12 you can get away with it a little but even then it is the equivalent of a freshly minted student playing in the major leagues. Ergo it takes 20 years just to get started not to be a "master" (as the plot usually demands). Also I would say on average the time table is more like 30 years not 20.

Depends on the setting really because western fantasy has a ton of works. I can name quite a few where you are just born with magic, Or can do it pretty well in your 20s. You also have to consider things like geniuses that even today causes things like 15 year old doctors rarely.

All in all a lot of the age arguments are stupid as hell in fantasy works. The bigger argument is just that the backstory is terrible and wouldn't match.

Western literature has this in spades, especially potent in D&D. The most powerful wizards have the capability to take on any appearance of any sort, yet stay in the guise of elderly folks to garner the respect they deserve. A good example is the Archmage of Thyatis, who learned this lesson after being constantly socially probed. He only looks youthful while undercover or during pure leisure time.

You can magically make yourself look younger, but most are going to want to appear grand and esoteric. I've only ever noticed the opposite in anime/manga. And I have read a lot of works.
