>Rebirth

Organic life is nothing but a genetic mutation, an accident. Your lives are measured in years and decades. You wither and die. We are eternal, the pinnacle of evolution and existence. Before us, you are nothing. Your extinction is inevitable. We are the end of everything.

Your civilization is based on the technology of the mass relays. Our technology. By using it, your civilization develops along the paths we desire. We impose order on the chaos of organic life. You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.

But seriously though I'm just gonna play God and have fun with the taddlepoles that will eventually become catgirls. Then I'll give them the technology that will eventually develop to the level where they can travel in space (but not before the next phase is done).

Phase two: Create Earth 2.0. Then, have the catgirls travel to Earth 2.0 and form a beautiful symbiotic relationship between humans and catgirls.

The idea is to retire to a secluded and somewhat peaceful(other than the damned elves!) laboratory and spend a couple of decades mastering my craft and then create an army of fleshcrafted and blood enhanced supersoldiers.

Ritual Enhancement >Create Abomination/Create Life > RE > Reinforcement > RE > Mass Growth > RE > Empower Bloodline > RE > Limit Bane > RE > Blood Guard > RE > Natural Weapon

advanced process involves using a fully charged soulstone at every part of the process too but I would only start playing around with the spirit magic once I have mastered the flesh and blood ones

*I assume this can also be shared with others
>>
>>52321271
Emerald Shard.

Basically, you're an immortal lich with a giant flying phylactery, and you don't even need to forsake food, alcohol, and sex for it. I'm also pretty sure the creator intended the Shard to be a spaceship of sorts, and if it's not, you can always research a way to make it so and get the hell out of the empty planet to explore the galaxy.
>>
>>52326378
But how are you gonna put souls into the soul well and soulstones without basic spirit spells like command spirit/create ghost?
>>
>>52326172
Not really. Rebirth turns you into some eternal Creating God who designs worlds, moving to the next one when finished.
Ruins seems to potentially turn you into some incomprehensible eldritch entity which might end up being capable of creating worlds too.

Either way Ruins > Rebirth because Rebirth is incapable of properly enjoying his creations. He's just stuck in eternal design mode.
>>
>>52326417
I assumed, from the wording, that the Soul Well naturally attracts souls from bodies killed near it and thus no soul movement spell is necessary to know.
With Soul Stone it says that it's made of crystallized souls and so like again there would be no need to move the souls in and out since the stone essentially is the soul just in a different form.
>>
>>52326459
The fact that you need to kill people right near the well or a stone sounds a little inconvenient.
>>
>>52326474
Not at all.
The Soul Well would be in position near a hole to which newly grown Create Life fetuses would be dropped from the room above.

All nice, efficient and automated.

Why would fetuses have souls? You realise babies don't have souls until they're baptized, right?
>>
>>52326766
Even if they have, I'm pretty sure the soul of a baby that never experienced life would worth less soulshekels than a soul of a regular human being.
>>
>>52326740
It was brought up in a waifu debate a few days ago, when someone made an argument about the differences of cucking for both genders, and swinging. Fantasizing about having multiple partners is healthy. Fantasizing about your partner having multiple partners is weird. Since /cyoa/ is dominated by straight men with a contingent of lesbians and trans-lesbians, which means for us cuckold is bad and cuckquean is good. Dark souls 3
Just...gotta...get...good...

Bioshock: Infinite

Doom
Haha, time for raep

No longer human I am the first of my kind.
Enhanced by chemical treatments and semi-mystical vigours
Melded with the souls of greater daemons I personally destroyed
And modified by hard working men with the loving embrace of steel and circuitry

It is time to become the most OP player in this world wide phenomenon.
>>
>>52327106
DOTA 2. OP power is OP.

Skyrim: Heeeere, Dragon Dragon Dragon...

Dark Souls III: Eventually I'll win.

Don't really care about the others, so I think I'll go with Fallout IV because it fucks me and the world over the least.

Anyone else just want a comfy vamp life? Like, you'd get to live by yourself in your kickass mansion with a ghoul butler maybe. Whenever you feel like it, you could hypnotize a girl and fuck all night. Mostly you'd just be an immortal NEET though.

Nothing evil. Nothing edgy. Zero violence. Except for that one pizza place that ALWAYS puts garlic on your damm pizza. Fuck them.

Paradise
Blood
City
Individual Minion
Corruption

A couple, or perhaps a trucker, maybe even a whole family on a road trip stops for gas in a strange, empty city.
As they fill their vehicle at the deserted gas station, a strange smiling man tells them that there's nowhere near enough people here, so the houses are all for free. He laughs if they decline to move in, and hands them brochures so they can spread the word.
In time, the city begins to fill with the desperate and brave. In time, the city becomes much like any other. In time, the city shows the second highest homicide rate in the nation. But hey, home's home.
But each and every time somebody moves in, that strangely smiling man is there to tell them to not mind the bloodstains and welcome them to New Chicago.
>>
>>52328780
Fundies getting power is actually not a downside. Not for /pol/ reasons but because the cyoa clearly says it's a downside. Therefore, by picking that option fundamental christianity is now objectively evil.
>>
>>52328817
I've got nothing against Christianity, just the oppressive pseudo-Christians who already make up way too much of the religion. Plus if we get any more xenophobic and racist I might not be able to get good burritos or kebabs anymore, and that'd be a fate worse than demon invasions.

What would the choices even be for this?

You choose a true waifu and a cuck waifu?
>>
>>52329239
What about if it were a depth vs breadth sort of deal?

You choose one waifu and that's that, completely bypassing the cucking mechanics and just treating it as a waifu CYOA.

But you could instead choose two waifus, in which case there is extra text describing how they interact with each other depending on how you rank them.

Maybe one of them gets off on watching you fuck the other girl, maybe one girl gets into a lesbian relationship but only if the other girl has enough traits she likes or maybe one girl is normal if chosen by herself but turns into a yandere if you choose another girl and rank her more highly.

Then you can keep choosing more waifus and seeing how their various conditions, tastes, and fetishes come together to result in some clustercuck of a harem of jealous women, cuckqueens and desperation.

Changelog:
>Prettied up the rules for priority regarding new bodies.
>Overhauled Pacific Rim Megami Tensei.
>You lose the government salary and gain confirmation that other cowed kaiju can be given to companions as mecha.
>Retconned the location of the kaiju's cockpit slightly from what I said in-thread.
>Buffed May I Axe You Something? slightly.
>Placed Dadzuzu's teaching ability and style in his description.
>Also made a reference to the burned off eyebrows I discussed in-thread.
>Clarified what can and can't be used while a doll thanks to Welcome to Hell.
>Added a second leveling system to Brother From Another Mother.
>Gave some more info on the angel's personality.

Survival would benefit the most from an upgrade, just wait a year and you're guaranteed 48-60 new things to play with. Could make it feel like a completely new game after you take a break from it.

I think the problem is that for something like magic it ought to take literally decades to learn but given that female characters are demanded to be at least a little bit attractive it is close to impossible to make a compelling female wizard/witch. Sure you can have a few Milfy witches, a few magic anomalies and a few that know flesh crafting/anti aging techniques but it usually just highlights the problem. We just don't want to write about a badass crone, instead we want Geralt to get laid.

>>52336901
In all honesty, it's entirely the fault of the authors. You can still write about badass old people, Japan is just obsessed with youth.
>>
>>52336901
If magic takes two decades to learn and you start when normal real-world people start school, magic is roughly the same net education as a doctorate. There's plenty of sexy young people with doctorates.
>>
>>52336901
One of the most common mistakes made in anime/manga is the tendency for the main characters to develop sporadically compared to the rest. It heavily dilutes the setting and disregards consistency.

There's no such thing as 'plot device' characters in Japanese literature, because they want the protagonists to be better than anyone else, it's frustrating and annoying.
>>
>>52336966
Except it entirely depends on the setting in question. In most western fiction, learning magic takes decades, to master it usually takes far longer.
>>
>>52336617
Consider for a moment that most people if they had vast cosmic powers via magic would likely make themselves look younger.

Because who the fuck wants to look like a crippled old man with a beard down to their ass for eternity? Talking about realism involving a spell caster who brings the dead back to life by slamming his hands around and doing the Bongo is stupid as hell the first time /tg/ did it. And is still just as dumb today as it was in 2006.
>>
>>52336966
Ever seen any 14yo girls with doctorates?
>>
>>52336966
If you start training a prodigy at 12 you can get away with it a little but even then it is the equivalent of a freshly minted student playing in the major leagues. Ergo it takes 20 years just to get started not to be a "master" (as the plot usually demands). Also I would say on average the time table is more like 30 years not 20.
>>
>>52336617
It should really be against the rules to whine about anime on 4chan.
>>
>>52337069
A lot of settings do this as mentioned (or they are Elves anyway) but not all settings want to allow their magic to do such things. At the end of the day it is going to be a tad distracting till we can get some female Gandalf's in our stories.
>>
>>52337075
Put the goalposts back.

>>52337091
Why would you wait until 12?
>>
>>52336951
Even most in the west don't want to read about 'badass old people' senpai.
>>
>>52337047
Depends on the setting really because western fantasy has a ton of works. I can name quite a few where you are just born with magic, Or can do it pretty well in your 20s. You also have to consider things like geniuses that even today causes things like 15 year old doctors rarely.

All in all a lot of the age arguments are stupid as hell in fantasy works. The bigger argument is just that the backstory is terrible and wouldn't match.
>>
>>52337069
You will be happy to know that your argument has been brought up many times throughout the years, yet it still falls down to one thing; respect and reverence.

Western literature has this in spades, especially potent in D&D. The most powerful wizards have the capability to take on any appearance of any sort, yet stay in the guise of elderly folks to garner the respect they deserve. A good example is the Archmage of Thyatis, who learned this lesson after being constantly socially probed. He only looks youthful while undercover or during pure leisure time.

You can magically make yourself look younger, but most are going to want to appear grand and esoteric. I've only ever noticed the opposite in anime/manga. And I have read a lot of works.
>>
>>52337136
Speak for yourself.
>>
>>52337123

>>
>>52337145
Nobody respects the elderly at this point. They're looked on as disgusting parasites.
>>
>>52337130
>>52337139
As mentioned it entirely depends on the setting, but "magic" does have the real world counter parts of spiritual practice such as becoming a master of kung-fu or a guru and these things take a lifetime.
>>
>>52337184
And that's the BEST-case scenario. Worst-case they're actively villified as the source of all of modern society's problems.

and for good reason too
>>
>>52337184
Ironically, as much as Japan is obsessed with youth and teenage life, their country offers the highest respect for the elderly. China is arguably the same, but who cares about them?
>>
>>52337158
The protag will always be a young unlikely badass but we could have some more female Obi-Wan's or Gandalf's.
>>
>>52337184
The elderly were looked upon with much awe during most of history, due to the fact that accusations were made when one lived too long.

You WEREN'T supposed to live long back then. Sickness and whatnot.
>>
>>52337256
We could but we won't, because nobody thinks of grandmas as badass, and they don't want grandmas that are like that with their floppy old tits bouncing about.
>>
>>52337275
It depends on the grandma in question.
>>
>>52337244
I suspect that it may have something to do with the creators of these anime/manga/novels/everything else focusing on teenage adventures out of some desire to live such a life of adventure as opposed to the quiet and boring life of being silently respected and yet ignored in old age.
>>
>>52337275
I think it could be tastefully done.
>>
>>52337145
This.

The greatest sorcerers are going to choose to appear old. Knowledge is power, and power IS magic. It's their job to educate the lesser magicians, and the middle-aged guise is perfect for that.

Unless they just don't care, which is usually not the case.
>>
>>52337145
>respect and reverence.

That never really caught on with me personally. I mean if you are a badass wizard with the power of gandolf why would you care if other people don't think you are some old man or not?

The respect comes from the knowledge and power they have gathered throughout their life. And I would think most people would respect the 30 or so looking man who can blast down a city block when angry just as much as the 70 year looking man.

If anything proving you can turn back your age would be more impressive since it shows you beat death itself which has a ton of mythological relevance.

The real reason is because people kept ripping off Gandolf who ripped off Odin so damn much people can't see wizards without seeing some 80 year old man with a beard longer then his body. Instead of any more interesting possibility.
>>
>>52337292
They write those adventures because life as an adult is generally incredibly dull and devoid of life, wonder, or adventure. In Japan more than anywhere else, though this is true in other places too, there's also a lot of soul destroying drudgery, misery, hard work, and various small pains associated with living a life you don't really want that are continuously piling onto you.

>the best authors in the world
Who?

>Japanese literature
What? Genre fiction with underage magic users doesn't tend to win the Akutagawa Prize. If you mean light novels and manga, I don't think 'the best authors in the world' really care about genre works for teenagers and otaku. If anything, Japanese literature is far more well-respected than any other non-Western canon.

As for the rest of this argument, isn't it rather arbitrary? There's no context within which we can consider magic to be 'realistic'; it's entirely dependent on the setting. You can prefer whatever type of magic user you want based on your personal feelings and desires, without the need for this pretence of keeping fidelity with reality, as if we have a clue what a fictional mage in a fictional world would necessarily look like.
>>
>>52337333
>That never really caught on with me personally
Well, whether you like it or not, that's how most western fiction went down.

>Gandolf
The Wizards of Istari appeared as they appeared for this very specific reason. They were explicitly young and beautiful back Aman, yet aged themselves to inspire the people as was their due charge, given by Eru himself.

>If anything proving you can turn back your age would be more impressive since it shows you beat death itself
That's your false assumption. Immortality in itself is impressive, not the appearance of the individual. Do you think the common lich cares about looks? No? Didn't think so.

>The real reason is because people kept ripping off Gandolf who ripped off Odin so damn much people can't see wizards without seeing some 80 year old man with a beard longer then his body. Instead of any more interesting possibility.
Tolkien didn't star the old bearded man trope, anon. This has been around since antiquity.

Part of it is old people (men and women) have both been seen as possibly magical/spiritual in old age but historically on the women's side we felt it was evil (a large number of witch trial victims were old widows for example). We have embraced the young sexy dangerous Witch, but not the wizened Crone or even the deadly Hag. Wicca is cool for bisexual college girls but the reality of all the old laddies doing it is still ignored.
>>
>>52337394
Post-Renaissance, western literature has done far more than eastern literature.

This is literally a historical fact.

>Holy hell, look at this biased and ignorant weeaboo.
Maybe China pips it, but the Bloomsbury Set were raving about The Tale of Genji since it was translated a hundred years ago and it's never really let up since. I can't think of another non-Western country with authors like Soseki, Mishima, Murakami (Haruki + Ryu) who get so much attention from the West.

>>52337471
Did I say otherwise? I just said Japanese literature gets more attention and respect than other non-Western literature, not that it was even deserved.
>>
>>52337477
Literally impossible anon.
>>
>>52337394
>There's no context within which we can consider magic to be 'realistic';

Pretty much. Originally most magic was considered to be tapping into Divine power. I could easily see a setting where say demons teach magic via imbuing power directly into someones body and mind.

Or one where magic is an inborn talent that one instinctively learns over time. Any number of situations or worlds could avoid the idea that only 80+ year olds are true masters. Which is why I hate the argument that a wizard doesn't look a certain way. Because a wizard can look however the writer wants them to look.

The real problem is justifying it writing wise so that makes sense and isn't terribly written. Which is always the hard part.
>>
>>52337477

Their old age was more so symbolism. This is explicit. They chose their appearances, and their new names.

The wizards of Mystara arguably have even stronger bodies than the youthful due to magic.

Some of them actually go out of their way to maintain vitality while they upkeep the 80 year old man look. They can swing swords like barbarians by unnatural strength, but rarely choose to. The Empires of Alphatia and Thyatis are full of spellcasters like this.
>>
>>52337713
I can kind of see that but it depends massively on how they present it. Just off the top of my head we have works like Darkness that comes before. In which the strongest magic caster I can think of is a genetically altered human who's pretty much an AI in a flesh suit. I can see that and it's logical for him to be so strong. Since he isn't really human to began with.

I think the big thing for me is more how justified I can see them being in that position. Like are they the arch-wizard because they are the best combat caster? Is it due to foresight? I could easily see say a 35 year old man who in a world with inborn magic has enough to just bullrush more skilled elder wizards.

Or say elric styled wizards. I can see a 35 year old man who has a shit ton of magic due to his ancestors ancient pacts with demons and gods and due to having so many is considered the top wizard.

I like the old man wizard stereotype but I kind of feel it is all in the writing here and that people mostly let the old wizard pass because they are so used to it and so ignore it when it's written terribly.

>>52337862
True true. But he was still far more interesting to me then a lot of today's wizards simply because of how much he varied throughout his life and his inner conflicts. Which is something most powerful wizards lack these days being instead a half assed obi-wan figure.

It's not like this at all, not even close.

I can fondly and somewhat minimally agree with the rest of your post. It entirely depends on the magic system of the setting in question.

that's kind of what gets me. Why would every wizard ever choose to be some old man? Why not a man in the prime of 30? Or a even a spirit? Or why not edit your body into something utterly different then the start?

Why not add machinery? Or undead bits? I kind of dislike the idea that out of a thousand wizards they'll all decide to let themselves become an old man and somehow won't be fundamentally changed by their power.

When the vast majority of fictional writing has it otherwise.

Because most magic in fiction is based around forbidden/esoteric/arcane knowledge. Nothing speaks of power more than the wisened old man trope.

You can still augment your body, but most will continue to act as the revered and respective teacher/sage/hermet.
>>

I could literally reverse this meaningless comment and say that most of the supreme-wizards and magic-users in otaku subculture are cute girls, so you should get over it. I could also point out that this is because magic is generally more linked to youth, emotion, and innocence in otaku subculture (esp. mahou shoujo, the literal magic of childhood/adolescence), but this is an irrelevance, just as it is an irrelevance that magic in Western genre fiction is generally portrayed as an occult art that improves with skill and training rather than a windfall that emerges out of powerful and pure emotion. The rules you're trying to establish are arbitrary, not universal, and you're not judging works on their own terms.

It's kind of rich when you're the ones who started shit about loli girls and anime in your CYOA. Get over the fact that these dumb geek subcultures exist in parallel and drop the superiority complex.

His comment isn't really accurate, no, except for realism, which is a Western invention that only arose in the modern era. If by 'ridiculousness' he means idealism, then that's true of most non-Western countries and European countries pre-Renaissance. As for structure, maybe there's an argument for a Western interest in internal structure and integrity, but there are few people that are as preoccupied with external formal qualities as the Japanese are.

Japan places very high social value on seniority, but the flip side is that youth is also very important since the hierarchy is incomplete without it. More specifically, the notion of 'amaeru', or the dependence on/indulgence of your seniors. Can't have one without the other. This is probably why anime/manga associates magic with pure and innocent characters. The closest Western analogy I can think of is 'vale of tears' stuff like Narnia that emphasises the un-fallen nature of children. In both cases there's a moral aspect, but the question is more about the individual state of the soul in the West, whereas in Japan it's more about emotional state and place in society. Youth is a time for magic and indulgence because seniority means reality and responsibility.
>>
>>52339036
Why not?
>>
>>52338931
China tend to emphasize independent but compassionate and submissive young adult women because the country has a skewed gender demographic but generally doesn't really obsess over youth anymore like the heydays of the 60s to 80s, due to the government relaxing the one child policy.

South Korea obsesses over nationalism, military service and hating Japan more then anything else. Which is kind of understandable considering they are technically still at war with North Korea so the country is always on full alert, Japan tried to erase their cultural heritage the last time they occupied Korea. As a result they are really really protective of their culture and just out competing Japan at their own business and manga/manhwa and pop music (Jpop/Kpop) game. I mean they already stole the Civilian and cargo ship manufacturing industry away and Samsung has the smartphone and flat screen TV market squarely locked away from Sony, they are also making a dent in the international automotive market trying grab as much market share away from Toyota, Honda and Mitsubishi.. South Korea obsesses over youth or any endeavor really just to spite Japan.

Besides the big three, the other Asian countries generally don't have an opinion or share a similar opinion with one of the big three.

So was I? 'Structure' is an ambiguous word that could mean internal structure or formal/stylistic structure. I'm sorry, is it now controversial to say that the Japanese are preoccupied with formality? Everything about their high culture is about creating a precise aesthetic atmosphere in as laconic a manner as possible. Even in low culture like anime, it's still very rigidly formalised and consistent in its style—hence why we have that distinctive anime look and feel replicated across so many shows. What rankles Westerners, and I assume >>52339165 is that the Japanese don't tend to value the idea that a work has to posses internal rules or integrity so there's not as much consistency within the fiction world, especially in the fantasy settings we see in anime/manga. This notion of internal consistency is very, very Western.

Can you read at all? I literally said Japan was preoccupied with formality and style. Your post is exactly what you'd infer from what I wrote. Being 'rigidly formalised' is not exactly a route to creativity. In fact, the Western preference for integrity and internal consistency rather than formal qualities is exactly the kind of thing that would allow for the creation of complex and internally consistent systems of science and philosophy. You are hallucinating something I never said i.e. that Japanese civilisation is superior to the West.

So what happened is, alot of the places the Mongols were conquering and subjugating didn't experience a renaissance because they were busy appeasing their mongol overlords who didn't see any value in art, literature, science or philosophy so they weren't pursuit or they were busy overthrowing their Mongolian overlords.

But at the same time you can argue that the Mongolian empire made trade and the transfer ideas from the East to the West much safer and convenient allowing the West to inseminate new Eastern ideas, philosophies and sciences and due to the fractured and feuding nature of European politics and the competition it bred, allowed the West to leap ahead in technology while the rest of the world stagnated, licking their wounds and rebuilding their societies.,

That's not even close to what the common historical consensus is.

Never have I seen such bad history in one thread.

>>52339587
There is no consensus, the Mongolian theory of thought is one of many. Another is Christianity, another is the vast abundance of materials in Europe compared to the East.

Europe in general was a backwater until they suddenly became the intellectual capitol of the world.

What is the argument even about? I keep seeing multitudes of various topics being thrown around in confusion and I'm too lazy to thoroughly review the above 100~ posts.

Why would a (immortal) mage be a old bearded man?
Why would a (immortal) mage be a loli?
Depending on who you ask, one of this questions either in their regular or negative form. Then it devolved to "REEE WEEEBS" and "REEEE 4CHAN IS FOR WEEEBS".
Then it seems to end up debating about Eurpoean literature.

Something about Japan's fiction emphasizing youthful indulgence in fantasy and escapism before they have to grow up, face reality and take responsibility or something.

And how that's uniquely Japanese, when the West has plenty of "come of age" stories.

And the argument got muddled by people spewing shit like Western culture and art being superior or that Western art and literature emphasizes the integrity of the setting, while playing fast and loose with the genre, while Japan emphasizes genre. technical and structural rigidity while playing fast and loose with the story's setting.

Not a single person above me knows what they're talking about.

Rome was great in its day too, anon, but now it's a shithole full of people who don't want to work. Just because something eventually fails (and I disagree that the west is "falling apart" too) doesn't mean it wasn't the pinnacle at some point.

>I disagree that the west is "falling apart" too
Oh? So your population being replaced with a different people and culture isn't the fall of your culture?
>>
>>52339777
I don't think that what you're talking about is nearly on the scale it would need to be to usurp western civilization and that you probably watch a lot of very conservative youtube channels.
>>
>>52339785
I would like for you to look up birth rates for immigrants vs. birth rates of native Europeans and the number of people politicians like Merkel have said they want to import to replace the falling population. I believe her latest was 12 million to Germany, a nation of 80 million people. Not even taking into account how not all of those are even Germans at this point, it's not hard to see how a falling population of 80 million can be overtaken by a population of 12 million that has a birthrate from 3 to 5 children per couple.

Oh I was talking about America, anon. I don't know much about Europe. I would like to say though that a country can always offer incentives to have more kids (Japan) or not to have more kids (China) and that birth rates aren't set in stone - they can change greatly by the decade.

On average both a pretty shit, with both having their masterpieces. What kind of autism makes you care where something comes from?
>>

The west had produced 10 times more literature than the east. The amount of masterpieces outnumbers the shit of the east.
>>
>>52339876
>10 times more literature than the east
And they've also produced a lot more shit too. That's how averages work. But really who cares? If something from Japan is good it's good, if something from the West is good it's good. Are you seriously so autistic that you get upset that some good things come from non-western sources?

You're being baited, anon. Move on to the next thread.
>>
>>52339844
That's not the trend in Europe and would be counter to what we know about societal development, however. Those twelve million are all to be there within a decade regardless.

As for America. Do you consider Central American culture to be western? If so then no, there's no threat in the immediate future of America being de-westernized. However the American sub-branch is very much in danger due to the massive flood of illegals. The process will overall be slower because Americans have more Children than Europeans and Mexicans have less children than Middle Easterners, but the ethnic and cultural replacement is still happening, and is more advanced in a nation where only 60% of the population is American.

>Could you bring a dead body back to life with Rejuvenate and an electric shock or something?
No. Apart from using medieval-level versions of modern resuscitation methods, you can't bring people back.
What you require is necromancy, for which I've listed some handy spells.
>How badly would a corpse have to be deteriorated before Rejuvenate had no effect?
I'd like to say "almost nothing", because Rejuvenate doesn't regenerate.
