Everyone else, even the Soul Drinkers and Blood Ravens, might not be. The Soul Drinkers were simply not descended from Dorn. They could've been from any other Legion, or even a mix of Blackshields who rejoined the Imperium. Considering their speciality was boarding and void combat, it sounds like they were basically Space Marine pirates during the Heresy.

If you read the latest HH book, the Thousand Sons, and especially the "Corvidae" that the Blood Ravens are supposed to be descended from, would never have rejoined the Imperium after the destruction of Prospero.

I haven't read much 40k fluff for a long time, but I remember that they were hilarious to me.

Do they still do the thing where every single Marine will claim to be Alpharius, and do shit like shouting "For The Emperor!" and other loyalist phrases in battle to fuck with people, and how they might not actually even be full-on traitors like some of the other Legions, or am I remembering something unrelated?

Carcharodons are my favorite and the ones that are savage/close comabg fighters akwaus have a place in my heart, like BT, Flesh Eaters, that kind of stuff.

Doom Eagles are nice too.
Their entire mentality is about being the most self-suffering fatalistic grim bastards possible, but all in the name of ensuring that mortal humans don't suffer like they do.

They all see themselves as being already dead and that suffering and pain is their lot in the universe and nothing will change that, so nothing can hold them back from fighting as hard as they can to protect the innocent and the faithful from feeling their suffering.

They're one of the only chapters that manages to be both very grimdark and very sympathetic about protecting regular humans, without those two sides of their mentality conflicting.

White Scars

They're the most human, albeit of a foreign culture, of most space marines. The average scar seems way more down to earth than any other 1st founding chapter even in 30k, let alone 10k years later

Yeah I think it might have been their Chapter Master actually that blasted Huron.

And also in the same campaign, they fucked up one of the world occupied by Huron so badly that the High Lords of Terra were like "fuck it, its your's now bro". And they landed a battlebarge there and posted up. I think they also pissed off nearly everyone involved for team killing tons of dudes, doing stuff like destroying entire orbital fortifications while Imperial troops still fought inside them.
