>The bbeg gets extra lives based upon how many times party members killed something or died.
>Only specifically the party members. If his minion dies at his hand, he doesn't get a extra life. Once the party members dies, he loses all those extra lives he got from them.
How do you make this work for a encounter if you're fighting him? What are some ways to take advantage of this if he's your ally but he isn't a very good fighter? How can you make a interesting character from this concept?
>BBEG
ugh, no thanks.

Am I supposed to just call him "Some Jackass Who Happens To Oppose The Party At That Particular Time Due to Certain Circumstances" (S.J.W.H.T.O.T.P.A.T.P.T.D.T.C.C.)?

You've never heard of the term "villain"?
>>52247858
But anon, BBEG is a term for villain. Thus you can't say villain.

It's the same troll doing this in every thread that mentions BBEG. Most regular fa/tg/uys are fine with it.
>>52248050I know. He's like Barneyfag.

>Most regular fa/tg/uys are fine with it
That's a stretch.
>It's the same troll doing this in every thread that mentions BBEG.
And that's just a bold-faced lie.

To be honest, it might be a bit too much bookkeeping if you're going to record EVERY last enemy kill they've made and work it as a mechanical revive, but it can provide an interesting twist storywise, essentially showing the souls of everything they've killed being at the hands of the main threat stored away for his use.
Also, you completely forgot to mention any system, so if you're wanting anything on that, you're going to have to specify.

Just a basic lore thing, mainly because it's supposed to work like Shamma Lammas thing in DAH2, where you revive instantly in the same place as you died. Including if you were vaporized, but in exchange he is as durable as a cabbage.or in some systems a ordinary human with no superpowers or whatever the fuk.
So think less in stats, more like what fighting this person would be like at face value.

Sounds to me it would be sort of a puzzle fight, where you would have to avoid killing the enemies defending him, otherwise he'll end up being a neverending nuisance. If he's an ally and not that great of a fighter, you could say that he could distribute the lies he receives and transfer them to you, but you would have to protect him because he now has less lives for himself.
