It's Da Archive!
It Will Be The Best 8 Hours Of Your Gaming Career!
STEP 1 Go to the last thread if you haven't looked at it. there is lots of stuff, including filled requests directly posted to the board.
>>51965252
Look through the posted open source pdfs and pics and stuff..
Files posted directly to 4chan are not added to Da Archive, so go grab them now.
STEP 2 Grab your Documents: Da Archive is multiple documents.
Da Archive: Usually Getting Bigger. Hopefully better as well.
Da Archive Annex is where the new links get put. It will be raw and unpolished, with lots of coded links. Sorry for the bother.
Da Wish List is comprised of unfulfilled desires. Please look through it and try to help.
STEP 4 Get a coffee or a stronger beverage, get comfortable and browse through the blasted thing. It is only 80 pages long. If you skim over the Personal Collections without really looking you will miss 8,000 pdfs.
STEP 7 If you want MORE, the previous threads are all archived in here:
http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/search/subject/PDF%20share/
There are other 4chan archives somewhere as well.
7chan might also be able to help.
STEP 42
Please give as much information as you can when you make a request. The more information you give (cover, a link to product, name of designer/writer/publisher) - the more chances someone might recognize it and upload it.
If you post a list of requests, Please make them a column, not a sentence.
ie
Zombie Hookerz
Lysergia Fur, The AnthroBrit Invasion RPG
Slutty NPCs for Everyone.
Dirty Backstabbers
Cheerleaders the Hottubbing
Step 44 probably requires more alcohol, so go get some.
Step 45 Da Archivist Does Not Have An Opinion.
He sits on the side of a river and writes down everything that floats by.
Yachts, canoes, trees, trash, bodies... and he logs them all.
Opinions are best used when Anon asks; "What is a good X for Y?" If they ask, we Invite you to climb on your soapbox and give us your Best sales pitch. Many of us are quite interested in learning about them.
STEP 5 Please be patient with the Irrepressible Urchins who request without looking first. They are a regular feature here. They help bump the thread, and they want to look at something that's not porn. They might even read it. You don't have to answer them, although that also bumps the thread.
You don't kick a puppy for not being housebroken. If they upset you, tell your monitor or your teddy bear. Please don't tell us about it. I understand your frustration, they used to drive me crazy. I would punch my teddy bear.
STEP 6 Rumors of Da Archivist being an A.I. from the Deep Web are unfounded. It does not have mysterious ulterior motives. He is a real person and a moderately well adjusted Luddite Amish Geek who lives in Intercourse, PA and hides his laptop in the hayloft of the barn with a solar panel. The best part about where he lives is that all the girls have Preacher's Daughter Syndrome.
← I had to put this text in an image because 4Chan refused to load it as a pdf. Must be potent stuff, odd.
P.S. - Remember, We are Better than all of the rest of the horrible internet and Good Manners ALWAYS gets more results. Wise up or please go elsewhere.
STEP Zillion Please post dead links and I will remove them to keep the archive up to date. Be specific - Include a Page Number -, there are dozens of copies of some Pdfs.
STEP: the Next. If you have a fancy pdf that has unwanted clutter on it, here is one way to clean it.
Contact our resident Transmutation Wizard and politely ask him to clean a pdf. He will set his scrying device to accept pdfs and then you ship it to him. Magic occurs, then the pdf is purified.
[email protected]
By the way, Thanks Mageguru, you're the Best!
Please ONLY POST OPEN SOURCE PDFS DIRECTLY IN THIS THREAD. Link the others from elsewhere.
Excessive infractions could cause TPTB to remove the ability to post any pdfs at all.
Check for copyrights before you post anything directly.
Please be respectful and don't belittle others' requests because you dislike the game. Imagine the horrific RPGs I've run across; 'Dragon Dildo Warriors', ‘Smelly Fedora Gods of Angst’, and 'We're All Little Girls (Frilly Dresses Are Mandatory At the Table)' spring to mind.
You do not have to wait for a request to post a link, We love links.
We REALLY love links to Collections and Troves.
We love links to things we already have; “More Sources = More Gooder”
Extra Special Thanks to the Anon Brigade who do ALL of the digging, loading, and posting.
My personal quest is to help Mageguru's noble cause:

Things Anon Has Mentioned That are Beyond the Knowledge of Da Archivist
(I edited out the ‘Yarrs’ )
Where to U.p.l.o.a.d.?
“S3ndsp@ce, which I prefer, U53rscl0ud or M3G4 for large collections. Using public wifi would be excessive, imo, and carries its own risks. I usually don't bother, but if you are that concerned, use a VPN. I do.”
“HMA is free and easy disposable anon email.”
“Mega is relatively safe, a little research seems to back this. I have an active account registered using only email as do many, many others 'round heah. You would have to be an extremely flagrant repeat offender before notice would be taken past anything other than a take-down. As another anon mentioned, if you're that noid, use a VPN.
I've never heard of an ISP getting involved unlike trackable torrents and that is mostly because of Hollywood money.
With Mega you get 50 gigs with each standard free account.
It has functions for uploading a whole folder at a time, including everything inside it. So you just select like "A, B, and C" and it does the rest.”
Microscope is a small, hard-to-find game. It is not the Holy Grail, it is more like Where’s Waldo. The author puts a lot of effort into removing it from upload sites, it is usually taken down in an hour or two. It rarely lasts a full day.
You Should Just Go Here: It is like a slideshow demo, probably better/faster than reviewing the rules.
“Detailed example of Microscope game played out”
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1d_gLQUEB0WH4dsD3p2Cr7AJev78Fz2M9uknpgE_NszE/edit#slide=id.g9862c8690_0_10
If you still want it, maybe buying it is easiest.
I will respect the author’s wishes and encourage Anon to do the same. If the author gets annoyed enough at the myriad short-lived links to their game on these threads, they might complain loudly to New Moot who might remove our ability to post Pdfs at all.
Thanks Da Archivist.

No big deal, the anon brigade got your back.
>a ton of Deadlands in Da Archive
I know, I already picked everything up, but those are missing.
The first two are fairly recent, end of october, the last one contains only pregens for the Stone adventure and turns out to be pretty hard to find.
I'd like to request the following:
Programmed Wargames Scenarios by Charles Grant
Guide to Solo Wargaming by Stuart Asquith
Don Featherstone's Solo Wargaming
Issues of Lone Warrior Magazine (which I intend to subscribe to but would like to take a look at what I'm getting beforehand).
I get to game sometimes with my dad (will probably get to do so more now that he's recently retired) but I also want to be able to game on my own terms as my schedule allows.
>>52209361
I'd like to second these requests for much the same reasons.
Gonna re-request here
Any of the non-free The Void supplements? like:
>The Void – Horrors of the Void 0: Expanded Monsters

>The Void – Explorers of the Mind: Psionics
I might buy it aswell

They're hybrid RPG/wargames, but Two Hour Wargames' stuff all supports GM-less co-op play out of the box. Chain Reaction 2015 is the base system, everything else is built on top of that. Editing could be better, but once you figure things out they're great fun to play.

Similarly, The Department is a detective investigation rpg/skirmish game that's totally not-Blade Runner. Track down dangerous robots and apprehend or dismantle them:

Also Game Master Emulators or GMEs can be used to offload a lot of the GM stuff onto charts and tables that you then interpret as a group. Mythic was the first, but there's a bunch of them now. This guy's got most of them:

2) Since the /osrg/ trove went down I haven't seen the expanded SWN folders anywhere else. I don't have access to my folders or a decent upload speed at the moment, but if no one has filled this request by the time I'm back on a decent connection, I'll upload my own 50 or so Sine Nomine books, including the 27 SWN books I've so far collected.

We're better here. Apart from idiots who can't read threads or be bothered to do their own search thru da archive, that is. Of course, there's always some anon who feeds the lazy and the ignorant. So the lazy and ignorant have been growing fat and trollish of late.....once we go back to not feeding them, they'll wander away to darker corners.

A tip for you and anyone else that's reading: Be sure and check the links in Da Archive that list large numbers of folders without saying much about what games are in there. Most times I fill requests it's by looking at the 10 or so big ass troves in the first few pages of said archive.

This is very true. The Big Ass Collections are Astonishingly Huge. Hundreds and hundreds of links in the A to Zed section of Da Archive go to them. Some of the Collections are still active and keep growing. I used to try to detail one each time I released a new document, but it took too long. Some are amazingly stable, so it is still tempting.
Da Archive would be smaller and more manageable.

Daily Reminder #1: Requests and Filling Them Bump The Thread. I have personally bumped this very thread off of page 9-10 four or five times by filling easy requests.
Daily Reminder #2: Not everyone has the time to parse a 500 link archive and 50 threads to find an obscure tome. Some would rather live these things called "Lives" while bespectacled basement-dwellers like myself find said tomes for them.
Daily Reminder #3: Some of us enjoy filling requests because it gives us a chance to dig through said links perchance to find a worthy addition to our own troves.
Daily Reminder #4: You are under absolutely no obligation to fill said requests, or to even acknowledge their existence. Let alone berate the poster for pursuing the very purpose of this thread.

You must've missed yesterday, when the thread got slammed by a drooling troll, which is what happens when you cater to retards. If you feed stupid, more stupid will come. If you force people to be intelligent, lo and behold you get intelligent people. It really is that simple.
The archive is a recent thing, just over a year old. Use it! We've not had it before, and it is glorious.
Oh, and Daily Reminder #0: This is a PDF SHARE thread; not a request thread. We're here to share with each other and help each other, not cater to lazy. Giving him what he wants does nothing to help him find what he wants, if you follow me.

>>52296297
You must've missed today, when the thread got slammed by a pompous asshole, which is what happens when you cater to selfish dicks. If you feed jerks, more jerks will come. If you force people to be nice, lo and behold you get people who like to share. It really is that simple.
Kindness is a not recent thing. Use it! We've not had it before, and it is glorious.
>>52296297
I tend to find it more efficacious to say "Here it is, and here's how I found it" rather than "Piss off, dummy, my magical internet-penetrating intelligence meter says you're too stupid to be part of our ultra-exclusive smart guy hobby"
I'm giving them a chance to learn how to find the next document themselves and spreading the hobby I love without judgement or qualification of any kind. Do we seriously need less players and GMs in the world? I'm overjoyed when anyone wants more, whether or not they have my level of nerd-fu in regards to finding it.
And once again; no one is asking you to fill requests, and I'm happy to do it all day long.
Posting Fun Stuff is Fun.
Please forgive if this post isn't really supposed to be in this thread, but I figured it might be the best place to ask. I recently found a copy of this source-book at my local thrift store and found it's contents interesting enough to warrant looking for a PDF. All the sites I've gone to have had a cock-tease of 6 pages, often watermarked to shit, I was wondering if any of you peeps happen to have a PDF of it. I want to try it out with a group of friends I roll with often, as it seems like it could be a good time.
Thanks for your time and consideration, as well as any help that is given.

All he could do was wheeze out a request and sit in his festering basement and wait for some naive person to cater to his whim. That is weak. Yo, You, yes YOU. Do you want to help the archive? but to poor to buy pdfs or fill requests?
Then start duplicating the collections here. Get yourself a mediafire account, save everything you like and put it back online on your account. The more who do this, the easier these files will be to find, and the safer they will be if a big collection gets taken down. Especially if you hear that a file is rare when it gets uploaded.
Greetings, fellow anons!
I would like to contribute to this series of share threads, which have made most of my gaming activities possible. I've been ruminating on a couple of ideas on how to do so, and would like some input from those with more experience.
Helping out in the normal ways would be difficult. I'm on a 10 year old computer with a dismal upload speed due to my rural location, so creating a new trove with my 30 gigs of PDFs in a non-starter. I haven't the spare cash to put into adding new releases to the current troves, so no-go there either.
I've helped some folks find rare splats and such in the mega troves but that seems like a rather meager contribution.
What I do have is time.
For right now, I'm clicking every link in the archive to report dead links while I think on my next task.
That being some sort of reference document for the larger and more stable troves. Maybe just something simple to make finding content related to the system, author, or publisher a particular anon is interested in that little bit easier.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
I'd like to make managing the archive less of a herculean effort for our dear archivist in the process as well. Whether that means a companion document, a replacement document, or a revamping of the original? I have no idea. I'm sorta in step zero here, as this is all thoughts and ideas for the time being.

Let's make a separate document, at least to start with.
Start with the most stable (oldest) ones.
A Table of Contents for each with a single link to the top page of the trove might be best.
Spell out the links correctly but add spaces and don't put functioning hotlinks underneath.
If there are no hotlinks I can pull all the data off of a pdf easily.
Input from the Anon Brigade is welcome and solicited.

Yes, please.
Do you have a favorite system that you have collected? Consider becoming a Curator.
We have Generals who have taken on the giants of rpgs. Mageguru, TravellergeneralAnon, and others have tackled
many of the games with 200+ products. We can never thank them enough. There are other games that are not as prolific. Amber, for example has about 30 titles. Da Archive has plenty of Amber scattered through it, but I don't think there is a single source for a complete set. A Curator that is familiar with a game has a distinct advantage over others. All it takes is adopt a game, try to build a complete set, and re upload it if needed.
It doesn't have to be a single thing. A collection of /tg/ and fan generated things would be cool, for example.
Time Wizards has 2 titles, add in Car Lesbians, Lesbo Jet Fighters, and 5 more things and call it good.
The main thing is a collection does not has to be removed from Da Archive, it just gets a new address every once in a while.
>>52324976

Bless you Saint Electron;
Your help is greatly appreciated.
The Future Salutes your efforts.
Hi, guys. I'd like to apologize for coming onto this thread forever ago and asking where an obvious thing was without checking the archive. Minor penance for a minor sin, so have a link to a bunch of free kahntent from some shitty blogger I enjoy.

I'll be around later in the day, by the way. I could download all of it and put it into a MEGA if that's a better format.

No worries.
After all the enjoyment I've taken from the games in these threads, this effort seems well due.

Awesome chart! As a huge sci-fi nerd I heartily approve and desperately want more.
One last thing before I'm gone: Do you have an disposable email or other anon contact method so I can hit you up with the other half of the dead list before the next archive drops? Pretty sure this thread will limit out before I'm back.
No worries if you'd rather have the other half in the next thread. Just wondering.

I am glad you like the chart. I put it together for my Firefly game, one part came from Ringworld, I believe. Overall, the Traveller game was the primary donor.
The next thread will be fine for the deadlist, Thank you very much. This is a huge help for me.
Just posting a thank you as I was able to find what I wanted in Da Archive- cheers anons!
