The best part of this build is that even before I buy literally any items his AC (regular and touch) is in the 20s due to getting boosted from 3 different ability scores, and he can't be caught flat footed like a Rogue.

Also I made him a type of Aasimar that, get this, gets See Invisibility as a natural ability. It fits so perfectly I almost want to cry.

I'm working on a couple right now. The one that's most complete is the Vestlin Spiritualism, the general set of beliefs native to the people of the western plains. It's a combination of Henotheism and Animism- that is, they worship two gods (in this case, Kardihim the Father Beast and Mala the Mother). There are many other gods that they acknowledge, but these "gods" do not receive much in the way of worship, simply acknowledgement or being regarded as aspects of Mother Mala and Father Kardihim. These minor gods were the original creators of the world, but they did not have the intelligence or will to create life. However, collectively they came together to form Mother Mala and Father Kardihim. Mother Mala birthed the first dozen men and women and told them to claim the world as their own, as the, while Father Kardihim roamed the wild and tore the land up to create mountains, his saliva making rivers, his breath making the clouds, his digging claws making hills and his shed fur forming trees. When his paws and skin split from exertion, his blood and sweat and tears coalesced and formed the first animals. Men and women who consumed his blood grew bestial features, and these people soon became their own tribes (explaining why there are monsterfolk, of course). Mother Mala saw fit that her creations would survive, and left to live in the clouds. Father Kardihim, after seeing every inch of the world there was, joined her, watching over the people below.

It's a WIP, but that's one example of something that wouldn't sound out of place in, say, an actual native American folk religion. That's what I'm aiming for- not directly converting a religion to game terms, because that is nebulous and oft doesn't turn out well, but simply making new stuff that DOES take from real-world religions.

On a case by case basis I find myself bothered by it a lot, but I don't hate the sentiment. Archetype stacking makes for weird flavor and when they first started rolling out, a lot of people were trying to stack up as many as possible to munchkin rather than building any decent concepts around them.

Most DMs I find are fairly lax on the subject though, their efforts to curb it in with these technicalities is definitely aimed at PFS, knowing home players will do whatever the fuck they want.

Around the time Dave met Dirk for the first time Dave went off on another round of his soapbox rants that he became so well known for in the latter half of the comic after the timeskip, and during this he went on and on about how Bro was, when you really think about it, an abusive SOB that might as well have been Hitler, and how that colored his perception of Dirk before meeting him.

Keep in mind Dirk is already dealing with issues regarding how he can at times be a huge A-hole and now he's hearing that his alternate universe self was so bad that it jacked up his pseudo-brother's head. Our one-handed Cleric nearly got swept away by the under-current in the creek the party needed to cross in order to make it to their next destination.

I think the formula for AC scaling is something like... the AC you get should at least be equal to 10 + your level + your attack modifier for a 50% chance of an enemy missing, but I can't remember what exactly the scaling was or if that formula is correct. That's just spitballing it.

Sweettooth and Corwin were the only ones I don't remember seeing anything about here. Seht's app was mostly only discussed in terms of not being Lilin. Valeriya looked like she wasn't going to get too much attention (short of her player asking for comments on the backstory) until it was decided that she was the spiritual successor to Amalthea with regards to Casimir's cock and her popularity blew up.

If just talking about before getting in, aside from laughing at how bad the first iteration was, nobody talked about Quinn and the Twins. Until they got picked, LITERAL PROSTITUTE and tinytief were non-entities in thread culture that I can remember. This also depends on your role in the party. Expensive Heavy Armor and a +2 shield combined with a bit of Dex and Dodge and you can easily get that kind of AC as early as level 2 if you really gunned for it, and in one of my sessions there's a guy who plays a monk with the Vow of Peace that at level 4 has an AC of, like, 30 after he total defenses, so most enemies have to crit threat both of them to even have a chance of hitting, and the Monk has that thing that deflects blows so that's two crit threats in a single round.

Either of these builds are potentially insane at lower levels but creative workarounds by enemies will negate these so long as the GM knows what they're doing.
