Did some more Spellburst Savant homebrew. Broom Jockey is a mobility/flight/speed based spellburst savant with a melee theme.

This is the alpha so feedback is highly appreciated. Among other things, I'm a little iffy if it's got enough melee boost to be functional in combat as most of it's stuff is about mobility and it lost some nova spell getting there. Still, Flyby Attack works nicely with Wave Motion Strike (As it allows a standard action, NOT just an attack)

How do you feel, as a player, receiving strange dreams?

I've had two players, the two that spoke directly with a powerful outsider and looked at his "pattern" have some strange dreams. Their dreams involves them waking up alone on a great beach with a black sun. Everything is in monochrome. If they stay asleep long enough a completely naked man walks out of the water and into the jungle behind the beach. They've now had the dream 4 times, each time he is carrying a different bundle.

However in Golarion objectively good super beings exist who can act as heads of state. A Solar for instance would be able to run an idyllic fascist government. A high level Paladin would be the same. HOWEVER, Golarion does not work on anything similar to our morality or social ladder climbing. A level 20 paladin can, if need be, dismantle an evil government essentially by himself. An Angel is essentially incapable of performing an evil act.

A Solar, the most powerful and good form of angel, can not change alignment (that we know of) without the direct intervention of an evil deity and can not perform evil acts. Quite literally an embodiment of good. If such an objectively good and righteous being, who at the same time is powerful enough no competitors could topple it, were to run a government it could run an idyllic fascist state.

HOWEVER no such beings of objective righteousness exist on earth, so it doesn't much matter for us.

Here's the thing: Tiers are not Power levels. they're narrative importance, and then only when fully optimized.

Tier 1 is "Basically controls the campaign"
Tier 2 is "is in control of a lot of thingsin the campaign"
Tier 3 is "Lacks the tools to derail the campaign, but has a large amount of options to affect it"
Tier 4 is "Has a niche way they can affect the campaign, plus a couple goodies"
Tier 5 is "Can affect the campaign in their niche"
Tier 6 is "Sucks at their niche"

If you can get over those, tier 4 and lower are perfectly servicable character options.

So I have been building encounters in such a way so that the players don't realize they're in danger until things already start happening. Recently I had them follow around a little urchin kid, separate one of the party members from the group, and the kid pull out a magical gun and tell the PC the bullet was a named bullet with his name on it and asked him if he thought he could survive it.

The PC punched the child, got shot, and died. He did this while the kid was in midsetence right after explaining the named bullet.

The party was level 6, the guy used a scroll of Named Bullet to make one. The enemy was a level 6 gunslinger. He has 22 dexterity, with a +2 gun, point blank shot, and deadly aim it came out to 1d8+13. Plus the CL 7 named bullet, but that doesn't get multiplied.

I haven't had anything but bad experiences with the Pathfinder community, but there's a Pathfinder Society game at a con I'm going to anyways and I figure I can as well give it the benefit of the doubt once (or get to know my enemy better).
What options are shit to the point of being unfulfilling, and which ones are broken to the point of starting drama? Are there any triggers of the community I should watch out for, or any character choices I practically need to make?
Ideally, I just want to play a character that pulls their load without being a hunk of metagaming and min-maxing, then hopefully walk away with renewed hope in the community, but I also want a bit of power to do something on my own if someone gets spergy or obstinate.

Is it me or does Spheres of Might really lose steam at higher levels where things like Bleed, Trip, etc all become worthless? Maybe that's me being a dumbass but it seems like half the talents basically become nulled the moment you stop fighting grounded humanoids.
