Science, Medicine, Math, Astronomy. I'd be fuckin smart. If I'm playing the skirmish wargame with campaign mechancis known as DnD then I wouldn't be that useful. Pretty much anywhere else it'd be a fun and interesting character.

Extravagant traveler with his own airship that transport rest of the party and use adventures for exploring stuff. Pick leadership based class, compensate low cha with int depending tech.

Unless you could be an inventor with gadgets or something i dont see how you would. You could be a combat liability who rolls well in int checks but i feel like youre just a worse wizard at this point. If i had a player who wanted to do something like this i might let them have invented guns or something just so they can be useful.

I hate it when high int players want to bypass my puzzles by just rolling though. Ill let you roll for knowledge checks, identifying objects and if you have to take a maths test but youre doing my fucking puzzle and i dont care if "ooo my character could do it" because, you know what, fuck you. Why even play the game at all if the dice do everything? Similarly, i hate it when my high cha players want to just mind control my npcs and convince them theyre the mayor and let them free just by rolling; yes ill let you try and your cha is going to matter but youre going to have to actually argue and youre getting a modifier based on this.

I already do. An investigator Rogue with a higher Int than Dex. His Investigation skill is very high.

Next one is going to be a scholar Ranger who is writing a book about all kinds of Oozes.
