Okay, this was circa 9 or 10 years ago now. Sometime after the alpha or beta test releases of the core pathfinder game. Looking over the way they wrote the racial entries, I got inspired and tried to do some reworks of my own and started homebrewing a setting and writing up a tone of races, both ones that existed before and borrowing some ideas from an artist who did a lot of cheese cake and gag fantasy work online.

Humans, Dwarves, Elves were the bog standard to include because of course they were, but I stepped further with a few other ideas for Dark Elves, Merfolk, Nagas, Medusa/Maedar, Ogres, Cat Folk, and Trolls.

For the Nagas, who ranged medium-large sized as I foggily remember, I included a watered down swallow hole on their bite attack for small sized creatures and down.

Each race I gave some racial feat trees to do stuff. Medusa could only stun someone with their gaze but could pursue greater power in exchange for corruption and alignment shift listening to the whispers of a fell being through the snakes in their hair. Naga had two chains, one for poison and one for greater grappling/swallowing. Tied it to the lore which was just peppered with snake gods lifted from fiction and real world myth between aesthetic varieties of nagas between river lands and the sea. Some philosophy about evil naga venerating The World Serpent and being its vessel and pursuing Ragnorak by consuming things in the world on its behalf.

This player played a lady naga, not in the cult mind you, but just a naga and he dug the internal cultural clashes I set up in the 3 good, 3 neutral, 3 evil serpents pantheon form their wide spread near to surface waterborne culture.

Anyway, at one point the party is fighting some goblins lead by a psionic blue goblin, and having had enough of this guy's kinetic bs he went in for the swallow whole, though didn't kill the goblin.

Anyway that lead to infighting for a few sessions but didn't end the = campaign, it fell apart for schedule and personality reasons a few months later and I didn't have much of a plot beyond something they all decided to ignore anyways as they just meandered around and poked at the world.

Shortly after the campaign's end, the player blamed me for his acquired fetish as their character slowly took a more nihilistic view of the world over the course of the game and wound up deciding to pursue the philosophy of the world serpent.
