I think part of the issue is that those subcultures are practically right wing compared to some of the 'I identify as a Helicopter' fringes we have now. That said, kek, I remember that sidebar.

I think the fear is that it will ONLY be used for an agenda, with no other representation. For all it's sins, oWoD always gave all sides a shake at the die. You could play a well-dressed conservative as straight as a punk Anarch or BDSM fetishist fishMalk. All in the same room. In fact, that was where some of the fun came from. Part of the hate for SJWs is that they shut down and shun anything that triggers them, and everything fucking triggers them. Speaking generally of course. I may never have met one, but there must be rational people left on the Left.
>>
>>51795005
Woo more legacies.
Have you done the Echo Walkers yet they have a 'legacy only' spell as well but with more attainments now it could work? Not sure.

>>
>>51794968

A Changeling in the Lord Sages Of The Unknown Reaches with an imbued item that lets him activate artifacts and demon Lambdas. The rest takes more work than I want to do to fill out but it gives you a whole host of options.
>>
>>51795020
The kind of progressive intolerance and the need to make absolutely everything also has the result in making things that pattern-match on to their worldview be viewed with suspicion in a way they wouldn't have been before. If you posted a photo of the cast of something like Predator now, you'd have to wonder if it wasn't so ethnically diverse in order to prod you with the writer's politics, even though that wouldn't occur seeing it at the time.

>>51795058
Anti-establishment politics, where the establishment is actually lambasted in full (as in, no raging about anti-abortion Christians and leaving it at that,) won't annoy people much because you're by necessity taking shots across a wide range of political targets. If politicians in a general sense are evil, the grouping of people that will annoy is minuscule, but if Republicans specifically are evil, it's understandable if conservatives get annoyed.

Sure, but my point is that so far this game is staying on topic without being preachy or diving off the leftist agenda cliff without a rightly maintained chute.

The writing is decent. I'm finding the border images rough on the eyes though. It looks good and fits the Mage aesthetic, but I'd prefer not to be blind by the time I'm done.

The whole feud started because Filomena blew a gasket over Zak's group being featured in maxim. Called it bad for women, and gaming.

Zak called her on that bullshit, things devolved from there, David and Filomena had their fans harass Zak, and Zak responded in kind.
>>
>>51796333

So in the end both parties dont deserve any pity

I mean one ruined a vampire videogame the other did this

Hey Zak. Spelling Filamena's name wrong doesn't make people think you're not Zak.
>>
>>51796398
I'd argue Zak's contributions to gaming are more important then Hill's.

Not to mention the constan stream of harassment they send Zak's way first maxim, then contributor-gate, now this. They are dead set on trying to keep him from ever being hired by anyone again.

Its no-platforming regressive bullshit

That's as far as I can take it.

Just finished working on the Echo Walkers.
Basically their entire schtick is about peeking at the Soul behind your normal Soul, then their attainments are about being the kind of kooky Spirit-Supernal-God-People they think preceded mankind, whose souls they're now using.
My headcanon is that they're kinda right, Dragons are the pre-human civilisation, their mass Ascension handed the world to the monkey-race so they could have a go. Which is why Dragons are sympathetic to every single Path.

So they can discern the nature of life, becoming immune to toxins/diseases, control their bodies, grant themselves a fraction of the pre-human race's power, and then control Sleepers en-masse.
For a Prime-Secondary Legacy, the Echo Walkers were actually pretty fun to make.

I actually put a pretty funny system in where to learn the later Attainments, you've got to knock an increasing number of Sleeper's souls out of alignment to get the glimpse of glory behind them. Also because that can easily be an Obsession, and they're addicted to following it, they can be a real fucking Beat engine.

Going to work on some of the other legacies before Logophages. That one would likely take up a ludicrous amount of time trying to figure out how to make the whole "eat secrets, get power" system work for 5 whole Attainments.

Two people asked for Perfected Adepts, so I'll give them a shot. Hopefully won't take too long.

So the Stunned tilt occurs if an attack deals damage equal to the size of the target (e.g. 5-6 damage).

Unlikely, there will probably be rules on how to go about perfecting, what can and can't be perfected, and what are some common items crafted with perfected materials.

But I doubt it'll have like a table to determine the properties of something like perfected Bismuth. There was a list of fan made materials from back in the days of 'Tome of the Mysteries?' that had rules for things like perfected Uranium which would destroy all mundane matter that came near it etc.
>>
>>51795035

Thank you so much for this.

Guess I'll be getting his more complete artbook, I just love his style.
>>
>>51797267
Perfected Adepts were nice and easy...
Like every single fucking melee combat they get into after they learn Chi Strike.
Touch someone once, they lose their next action, and until they can take the one after that, they halve their Defense... So you can do it again, and again, and again.
Sure you can render it pretty hard for them to hit someone, but they're a Mage, they can likely get a pretty potent dice pool.

Also if you get to Gnosis 8, you can reform your body as you like.
Which includes re-defining your physical attributes to be the maximum possible value for your Gnosis.
Which given you're Gnosis 8... Is fair I feel.

>>
>>51798452

>>
>>51798486
Mage's aren't helpless in melee. Hell, the Arrow's shtick is to punch their problems away. The goal of combat isn't honorable conflict. It's to murderfuck the other guy before he does it to you. Why give your enemy a sporting chance?
>>
>>51798452
Celestial Masters are crazy fucking bullshit that only half-works with the 1e rules, and doesn't really work at all with the 2e rules.

First Attainment is simple, perceiving forces. Reach as to Instant Casting. Keep using to keep getting. Simple in application and effect. Space option is understanding sympathetic links, also Instant Casting.

Second attainment is "Zoom in", Reach as per Instant Casting, primary factor is Duration, secondary is Potency. Each level of Potency doubles view range, never specified can't be combined with vision enhancing tools. Then you add in Space to bend that turbo-enhanced view around corners. Also balanced, all replicable (and more potent) with actual spellasting.

Third Attainment is Shaping, with reach for Advanced Duration, and Advanced Scale, allowing you to warp non-solids, the Potency factor is in Scale as there's nothing else Potency can be used for in that spell other than changind durability and unless you're fucking with solids Durability is useless. Space option is Locate Object with a fair bit of reach. Don't blame me for the fact

Fourth Attainment is State Change, with reach in Instant and Sensory, with the Forces spell as Telekinesis, with the same. It's balanced, it works. Space option is a bit weird, it's a modification of the Ban spell located specifically around an object, so that the moving sphere of space cannot come into contact with anything else. It's basically Patterning the object into intangibility by removing collission control. Perhaps a reach too far, but it's highly limited in effect.

Fifth Attainment is Patterning energy and matter into other energy and matter. It shouldn't be Lasting, but I've decided that at Gnosis 8, the 5th attainment dot, I'm going to be a little lax with the rules. Reach is for Instant Casting, and Sensory range. Lasting is bullshit, but really? Gnosis 8 and you won't let them do that, even worse a second-degree Master at Gnosis 8? Space option is sensory-tele.
>>
>>51798588
I see. Also auto failing close perception tests seems shitty for the second attainment. A penalty would be better it doesn't stop them from hearin or smelling.
>>
>>51798555
>Regeneration
And do what, regenerate a dead organ for a time? Fuck that noise, just do that with relinquished Magic, Attainments are for stuff that's actually useful. I mean, you have to spend an entire experience to learn the attainment. Why would you do that if you could cast the spell just as well already?
Healing Sleeper wounds without Quiescence, Paradox, Dissonance, or Acts of Hubris is fan-fucking-tastic.

>Hone the Form is Weak
That's because it's balanced within the existing rules. If you want to change it so it isn't, be my guest.
>>
>>51798620
You even read the section, son? They auto-fail visual tests, not auditory or scent based.

Also their optional arcanum, which every single one of them should have as it's one goddamn dot of their primary secondary Arcanum, renders that moot as they can see directly behind them with it.
>>
>>51798622
I mean like werewolf regeneration. Since the daskha work on themselves healing others seems out of character. I know the kid thing creep you out but thematically it would also make sense if kids had there innate powers as well. up to their attainment.
>>51798637
that's true but it seems weird to have that penalty if magic negates it in the first place.
>>
>>51795315

A bit. I don't think they ever did any Mage stuff besides updating the Whipping Boys to 2e, and it was OK, I guess.
>>
>>51798686
Kid thing doesn't creep me out, that was for comedy. I was bored. I warned of that at the beginning.

Also no way in hell do they get that! Those abilities are from a shaped soul, the hermaprhoditism is a biological representation of their new base form contained in their DNA after that soul-shaping permitted them to change it in the first place.

Granting kids their innate abilities from birth? No fucking way. They get their schlong and cooch, but the actual mystical stuff like the hair loss, third eye and so forth? They have to awaken and develop their actual powers to get that. The Daksha also don't get to have automatically awakened kids.

>I mean like werewolf regeneration
Not a thing, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered with Mend at that dot level.

>Why have the penalty in the first place
Because some people won't, because it isn't required, and I put that in place to remind them that it's a good thing to pick up. I mean, no PC wouldn't, but certain NPCs would. Rushing into their Legacy without learning the conjunctive arcana.

>>51798739
I meant the attainments. Which are no longer magic but if they breed true they should be making kids which are like quarter proximi.

How couldn't regernating health at four dodts not be possible at the very least one lethal per turn or two bashing would make more sense ythen healing or two lethal and 3 bashing. at that point you should be able to do something similar. Or just downgrade hone the form up regeneration and make it 1a/3l/5b. if the legacy is about how perfect the daskha has become and its gnosis 8 life 5. They kind of get hosed compared to other attenments at least main arcana.

Attainments are not Magic, but the capacity of a reforged, Awakened soul.
Their Soul permitted them to reshape their body into a hermaphrodite form. It does not permit them to pass its own soul-shaped capacity on to their kids.

I am not going to give the Daksha a method of mass-producing Sleepwalkers (which is what anyone with a innate Supernatural power is, BTW).

Also no, I'm not happy with that rate of healing.
If you want advanced healing, go turbo-charge Body Mastery with the reach option for lethal.
I have other things to do right now, like finish the Ascended Adepts.
>>
>>51798833
>Attainments are not Magic

Attainments ARE magical in nature, but they are derived from the shape of the Soul, rather than the Supernal Realms.

They're not spells, more so something you have developed innately over time.
>>
>>51798833

>>
>>51798975
Lige is certainly a weird grab bag its a lot of buffing and debuffing essentially. Though the debuffing feels more potent as removing dots makes it easier for the team than just buffing.

Also as much as I like perfected adepts no roll auto stun tilt would never be allowed in any game my gms would make. Its just too strong.
>>
>>51798975
>to me

That's right. Keep it all in your headcanon. I'm going off of Dave's words here. Attainments aren't spells, but they are damn magical in nature.
>>
>>51799029
It's pretty bullshit, but here's the thing, still gotta hit.
You've gotta make your character around it to be able to use it on everything, and even then people can still go intangible or use something which hard-counters melee attacks, like their 4th attainment Turn Velocity.

Okay, so here's the Ascended Adepts.
A bit weird these blokes, they don't have a Secondary Attainment instead they get extra Mind-based Attainments under the caveat that they can only affect things related to dreams, or under the purview of dreams, or through dreams.

And that's all for tonight folks.
Might take a look at the Transhuman Engineers, Blank Badges, and even (urgh) the Logophages tomorrow when I'm stuck on my uni society's RPG stall for about 6 hours.

As always, reply with requests, and I might just get around to them.

>>
>>51799082

In some of your revised Legacies, you are not consistent with the choice of secondary Arcana.

I thought each Legacy had a set Ruling and Secondary Arcanum for all attainments, not a use whatever secondary Arcanum you want for at each applicable Gnosis level?
>>
>>51799277
>>51799267

NuPrime seems like it has a lot of potential, but we need many more sample effects to fully understand its limits and potential.

This should be included in DaveB's now mythical promised FAQ. As the "Supernal Arcanum," Prime will also hopefully receive a lot of attention in Signs and Sorcery (if SoS ever leaves "Development").
>>
>>51799493
Secondary Arcana don't have to be fixed, it is suggested that you select them from the Path's ruling Arcana, however this is not strict rule.

In fact many of the Legacies which I've been adaptiving have had secondary Arcana from outside of the host Path, and in those cases I've tried to accomodate that.

I'm trying to update Legacies from 1e to 2e as faithfully as possible (while adding at least 2 additional Attainments), and that includes reproducing their weird secondary Attainment requirements.

First time playing V:tM. The GM was intentionally vague on what splat we would be playing and had us roll up human characters and after some initial RP turns out we're playing vampire. My character firmly believes that vampires are the spawn of Satan though, and, believing he can no longer make it into heaven no matter what, figures he might as well use his newly found moral freedom to make the world a better place and purge as many vampires as he can.

The GM gave us double ability points, double background points, 2 extra discipline points, 10 extra freebie points, and is starting us off at generation 10. What can I do with all this to optimize for vampire slaying? Also, does anyone have any tips for getting away with a vampire killing spree?

Life magick of Ascension is weaker than the Life magic of Awakened. You can't even shapeshift as an ascended mage until you put in five dots.
>>
>>51800247
The reverse is also true with some of the others. Forces in Ascension can conjure atomic blasts with 5 dots, while in Awakening it requires Archmastery, Forces 6.

>>51795389
>Though I thought you had to drain the 'target' dry? And basically 'fight' souls, in a battle of wills no thinblood should have won over an experienced Tremere?
>>51795437
>It's possible, monty coven diablerized Mithras but after some time Mithras possessed him

Diablerie can end in several ways, depending on the generational gap inbetween the two vampires, but the bigger the generational cap, the worse a failure becomes for a Diablerist. There's (mainly) three ways in which a Diablerie ends:

1. The Diablerist consumes the Victim's soul wholly, and nothing of the Victim's soul remains. This is a 100% win for the Diablerist, and is nearly impossible (note the NEARLY) to pull off if you're a thinblood or something equally weak trying to snack on a Methuselah's soul.

2. The Diablerist's soul is wholly consumed by the Victim, and the Victim possesses the Diablerist's body: they gain all of the Diablerist's memories and any additional Disciplines that they might not have known before the attempted Diablerie: this is a 100% failure for the Diablerist, and becomes more and more likely the wider the generational gap is.

3. The Diablerie doesn't end in a complete win for either soul: personalities can mix, important memories might end up being forgotten, derangements might occur, the Victim's Nature and Demeanor can end up switched, and the end result is that both former personalities merge together, and a wholly new person emerges from the mix.

Essentially, the third result is what happened to Mithras/Monty. He has memories of being both Monty and Mithras, and yet he's now something more and something less, all at the same time.

>>
>>51799299

I'm not for reducing anyone's power but come on now. There should be some more overt Lovecraftian monster transformation going on at 5 dots.

Did Ascension limit how many active spells a mage could have active? Or is every creature you create just free to wander off?
>>
>>51800360
1e nWoD Mages could cast spells as a ritual.
Getting a number of rolls with their dice pool, equal to their dice pool, accumulating successes across the whole bunch.

More than enough to do whatever the fuck you wanted with even the smallest investment.

>>51800387
Okay basically Attainments decrease any Mana cost higher than 1 down to one. So every usage of a Platonic Form attainment thus costs 1 mana, for as many uses as you want. You also don't have to worry about spell control, so you can have them prepared and in your pocket. You can also absorb the final point of Mana before yo use it up, ensuring that you never run out of mana.

And a scene's worth of preparation to create a long-lasting item? A pittance.
>>
>>51800418

But does not help in the heat of things.

In Mage 2e, does the Life 2 Attainment for Mage Armor allow a mage to apply his Defense to Firearm attacks?

1E Werewolves were notorious for being weak, Mages did not need to use Rituals to tear them asunder.

2E Werewolves are now incredibly beefy yet still go down hard against, say, a Thyrsus or similar specced Mage.

2E Mage is both weaker -and- stronger than 1E. Not as much abuse, but the leeway Is just far greater.

Life/Spiritaboo here. This scenario keeps me up at night.

With spirit it's implicit that you've used your powers to make spirit allies.

The best thing you can offer a powerful spirit isn't mana, those Lords know where to get mana.

You can offer them an unoccupied human body in return for responding to calls for their help once in a while.

But outside of getting Spirits to tear him apart or granting you ridiculous silvery boons.

Depending on your life dots you can turn into an eldritch horror and coat your bone scythes with the venom of the box jellyfish, that shit can shut down elephants. Make your blood the equivalent of acid. Scales that rival adamantine, tentacles of a giant squid so he never gets close, Sidestep paradox by fighting in the Shadow realm.

And no life mage goes outside without doing that 2 dot rote that makes you heal bashing and maybe lethal as fast as a werewolf at least. Back when I played you could do an extended cast and get like ten boxes of bashing or maybe lethal damage healed a round as well as forgo your need to eat or sleep.

Also immunize yourself and exhale ebola or smallpox or bubonic plague with every breath, coat your scales with a cocktail of AIDS and Syphilis, it'll impede him long after the fight.

Or you can do the boring stuff like transforming into a fly or a bacterium and trying to paralyze/blind the werewolf from your invisible vantage point. Maybe you can land on his shoulder and then shapechange into a mammoth.

With spirit I think you can shut down the mana that spirits get from their special loci, that could bait out the wolf.

And spirit gives you access to fetishes, which can let you replicate the powers of spirits without paradox raping you if someone sees. It's been a while since I read that spirit book so I forgot the cool powers.

You could bind the werewolf's favorite spirit into a fetish and force it to serve you.

I believe most of those shenanigans can be accomplished at 4 dots. 5 dots lets you make a menagerie of fantastic beasts that won't be detected until they've eviscerated their target.

Gonna be mulling this over, does the mage only have 3 dots in life? What does the werewolf have dots in?
From the top of my 1e head and before I could check the new 2e:

Three dots in life lets you animate a tree like the Buggering Birch in Harry Potter. Never fight a life mage in a redwood forest.

He would still have that 2 dot rote, which he could munchkin into an absurd dice pool for werewolf level of healing [though I've forgotten the limitations on rituals]

With that shape simple life attainment affecting all invertebrates he could manipulate some common bacteria into ebola and then influence some mosquitos to drink that up and then send them to poison the werewolf. Then avoid the werewolf for a week. He might be able to do that with the bacteria naturally on the werewolf's skin.

I haven't read awakening in a long while but I believe metamorphosis is at four dots so the mage would still be visible because he'd need to see his target. But with being able to manipulate trees he could create a hollow [redwoods have huge gaping hollows] and then fuse himself inside with some air holes to peek through. Probably would be sniffed out, unless there's a 3 dot way to suppress his own odor which there might be. He might be able to trap the wolf inside a tree as well and suffocate him.

The bee plan could work, just transform several stinging bees into box jellyfish. Those dosages of neurotoxins will wreck anything's brain.

And correct me if I'm misremembering but there's a 3 dot way to make that wolf go blind or hallucinate or go into cardiac arrest or pass out, and perhaps permanently paralyze. I always preferred monster battles to save or dies though.

Perhaps I am biased to the efficacy of neurotoxins doled by the half ounce. But the life mage style of fighting would be to avoid the Wolf and to constantly be sending those mosquitoes and flies with terrible plagues.Wolfman will pass most saves but it will be an hourly affair until the desired results are achieved. Eventually that wolf will fail his save and then the long term effects of Small pox and ebola will ravage his vulnerable body.

Also crushing the wolf with huge animated trees would be nice.

Also a mage could get an eagle to drop a tortoise on the wolfman's human formed head. Accuracy won't be great but the mage can keep birds in the sky 24/7 [Did you believe Aeschylus's died by chance?] He'd never see it coming. That could be a constant affair as well.

For the enemy of a thyrsus there would be constant biting insects, brain eating disease, black bubos sprouting out of armpits and groin, and threat of bowling ball like projectiles whenever he's outside.

He might be able to use detect life to find wolfy's gut flora and then transform them into a bobbit worms. Ever seen Dreamcatcher?

If forced to confront the wolf, he'd be under the protection of that redonk body mod rote that lets him heal, as well as being able to cast heal, as well as be protected by his mage armor, and hopefully he would have silver ammunition and could outlast his ambusher. And if the mage was expecting to be attacked, he would have hanged healing spells on his person.

Gonna have to find an Awakened pdf and see what other tools he would have in an ambush.

But yeah the best time to kill a mage is before it has more than 1 dot. But babykilling is never that much fun.

As a PC, you're inducting a neophyte into your Legacy. Or you are trying to convince them to join your order. Or prevent them from joining the Seers.

As an ST, do the same thing. Or have the NPC playing the political game.
One of my players favorite memories was when they were given the equivalent of votes/tokens of favor, during the process of 'electing' a new Heirarch for the Consillium, and trying to figure out who had how much sway/tokens and who they needed to convince.

What exactly is a Mage with raw talent if all Mages have all the same potential?
>>

Rate of advancement and degree of power. A mediocre mage might take 6-8 years to become a 'mere' master. A prodigy could become a third degree master with multiple arcana at adept level in the same amount of time.

Who thinks that making damage from absorbing Paradox lethal is a good and necessary rule?
>>
>>51795619
>#TheTechnocracyDidNothingWrong
>>
>>51804144
Personally I think it should be Aggravated damage instead. Bashing is too easy to heal, even resistant. Resistant Lethal is decent, but when you have no other damage it is easy to trivialize. Absorbing the Abyss into your Pattern should hurt more than Resistant Lethal. I
And maybe if we make it Aggravated I'll finally get to use Abyssal Manifestations, instead of my players always absorbing the damn thing.
>>
>>51804144
Resistant bashing is fine. If your players aren't having to contend with paradox you're not pushing them hard enough.

Playing Mage is giving you carte blanche to live out all your sadistic jackass DM fantasies.

People should be losing limbs, instant death due to a Seer sniper, etc.

All of that and far far worse. If they wanted to bitch and moan about how terrible it is to have superpowers they'd be playing vampire.

If you want to play with time people are going to be regularly 1-shot killed in fights.

If you can teleport you're going to find yourself stranded in the middle of an antarctic blizzard with no sympathetic connection back.

If you can cure cancer with a glance your family will be targeted by gene-coded super ebola.

Being a Mage means you've entered the big leagues when it comes to power, so the consequences must be that much greater.

What? You always have your own personal connections. People have a ton, it'd be an enormous feat to steal everyone's personal sympathies without them noticing to totally abandon them. You can only take so many per use of the spell to do so

I am just picturing DaveB and whoever is designing Hunter in a duel to the death. DaveB protecting the honor of his awakening waifu against the mean hunters who wish to make hunter a threats to mages.
>>
>>51805101
Why though? Even in 1e hunters never actually hunted Mages. They hunted pseudo-mages built using hunter rules. Why would they change that for 2e?
>>
>>51805101
The trick to hunting mages is like hunting werewolves, don't ever let it become a whole pack/cabal thing. And outnumber them in ambush and at long range.

Any mage with the right arcana will see it coming, but fuck it the ones who Hunters would actually hunt aren't likely the nicest or smartest ones out there anyway. As with all things hunter, if you tip your hand you'll probably die to a cabal/pack/coterie/mummy cult with barely a whimper
>>
>>51805074
You can also isolate somebody from their connections. Sure it's a clash of wills every time he tries and he'll eventually succeed. But if he's in street clothes in balmy -90 ºC weather he'll have more immediate concerns.

He survived got horrific frostbite for his trouble but the cabal managed to bail him out. Got a load of beats for it too.

Awakening is like banging a Gong in the fallen world.
Depending on first reponders, he'll either be swept up by the Council, the Diamond, or the Seers.
If nobody arrives, he's stuck figuring out his Magic on his own until another Mage notices with peripheral Mage Sight and approaches him.

Regardless of which faction, they'll try and educate/indoctrinate them into their philosophy, but if part of the Pentacle and the person isn't a great fit for one Order, they'll send him to another.

There's generally cooperation between and within the Orders to provide a Mage with the initial necessary education, however unless there's a serious issue (like the new Mage being a minor or ludicrously fucking famous) there's no need to get the Consilium involved.
>>
>>51802125

True, but the upcoming "Beckett's Jyhad Diary" mentions that it's not for certain that Mithras will emerge as the victor, and that the "gestalt" of Mithras/Monty *might* actually end up being completely stable.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KLDVSr2f2bIVGBLtXSwjl65J1p-zHcoNQK51mw1eiTw/pub

> It is rare indeed for an 11th Generation neonate to successfully consume a 4th Generation Methuselah. The gestalt is still very unstable, and Mithras might take over Coven completely. Indeed, Kemintiri seems bent on ensuring this outcome, convinced that her Mithras is still inside Coven only awaiting someone to free him to assume his former glory.

>But — but — if the gestalt holds, then Coven will eventually start to wonder whether the process can be replicated. Mithras had many childer, most of whom were disappointments. A few still exist but are so weighed down with age they still dress in clothes from the 17th century. What would happen if those vampires were consumed by Kindred who were much weaker in blood and yet far stronger in will? Would their knowledge and power also be preserved into new personalities that can adapt to the new era? And if such experiments bear fruit, would Coven begin searching for an 11th or 12th generation Kindred who is strong enough and vital enough to consume the soul of Kemintiri and bring his former lover into the new age?

In my setting Mages that aren't snatched up by the Seers or worse are quickly picked up by the Guardians and evaluated to make sure they're not banishers.

Afterwards they're handed over to an established Master for initial training. Their mentor will eventually sponsor them at the Councilia where they're recognized. After recognition they're free to join an Order/Legacy.

Many will work as auxiliary for Cabals of Orders and Legacies they want to join until they can establish a recognized Cabal of their own.

They have to attain mastery before they're allowed to take students of their own or be able to vote in local Counsilia politics.

I Read the 3 dot attainments for life. Every time an insect lands on the wolf it can be turned into a tree a la transform base life.

It would be easier to change a grove of oaks into a swarm of bees and then dispel it when they sting the wolf.

For a white room the mage can carry a bag of acorns and accomplish the same thing. Or tear open a joint and transform his flower particles.

He could change seeds/weed into jumping spiders and then make them as large as cows and trigger their brains to attack only werewolves. While that's going on he could focus on the intricacies of getting trees to land atop his enemy, or run up the wall and attack the wolf from the ceiling with tentacle arms which detach when seized.

Also for the fight don't forget he honed his body so his defense is maxed as is his health.

Also he can modify the median form at 3 dots. Meaning he as any feature from any living thing [except humans kek] So he can give himself hard wood infused flesh, giving himself max armor. Also if his core is solid wood he won't bleed out until duration's end. And if the white room is big, he can sprout wings and remain out of reach. Or give himself gecko feet and run up a wall and cast from the ceiling.

Other fun options include nudibranch tentacles so whatever hits him gets stung every round.
Cheetah speed
Elephant strength
Elephant stamina
Cat eyes [Nightman]
Tentacle arms for twenty foot reach

Growing claws is also a last resort option

Good thing there's no pollen inside white rooms unlike outside everyday. Each grain can be made into a tree.

You will be crushed by trees is what I'm trying to convey. And if the mage transfers a lampreys mouth and squirmy mobility onto a big long tree, imagine fighting that.

You can degrade the form at 3 dots but you must touch the Werewolf and get him to fail a saving throw.

Also the wolf's buffed stamina is removed from your dice pool, not sure how many successes you'd roll with 1 dice.

Because you'd need multiple successes to reduce him to a prone pupper.

It will take several castings to overcome his supernatural resistance too.

And you're using mana in each attempt.

And you're within arm's reach of a werewolf for several rounds with this plan.

This wouldn't be a save or die duel option, it would be a mage pinata.

The amoeba plan was my original plan, but anon asked for 3 dot shenanigans, and metamorphosis is 4 dots.

If you read sense life, it mentions microorganism implicitly. Also Base life says invertebrates and all germs and diseases are detectable with 1 dot in life, and what's more basic than a single celled organism?

Also a matter mage could disinfect an area with lysol or bleach and the ST will probably rule that's aggravated damage until you cast something that mimics a flu bacteria's resistances.

Also get rid of these notions of fireballs and think in terms of life magic. My first impulse is poison, but reducing the enemy to a paraplegic [Animal degradation @ 4 dots] is fun too, especially for taking prisoners for interrogation a la Bobbit worm.

Look, the thing about Zak is that nothing he does or is alleged to do is something that'll ever fall into the realm of concrete proof. Everything related to him, unless you're in the know enough to develop a sense of pattern recognition, falls into this grey area of plausible deniability.

Yes, it just so happens that many people who get under his skin or disagree with an opinion of his just so happen to have attempts at ID theft or threatening e-mail/phone calls inflicted on them, but none of it ever holds the smoking gun that puts any culpability on Zak.

It's entirely possible that all the harassment is just Zak fans acting completely of their own accord to defend their idol at all costs, which is an incredibly sad thing in and of itself. That still makes Zak either a complete moron for not knowing what his fanbase is doing or a complete asshole for knowing what they're doing and not stopping it, but for folks like >>51807806 who want to see hard evidence of wrongdoing, they're not going to get it. And because of that, Zak is going to have this slide off his back like every other time and he'll continue to work in the industry.

What's probably going to happen next is that he'll try to turn it around on OPP, since he was trying to claim that the company is the center of a harassment campaign to drive him out of the industry as part of their "conservative, sex-negative agenda" a couple months back.

But he doesn't and he won't, because he's on record with his feelings: in his mind, they're bigots and trolls and to paraphrase him, these people to him "no longer get to exist in the human race". If he's not directly setting up the campaigns and attacks (and he does post links for his fans to "ask questions" and "destroy" every now and then), then he lets it happen because it's just perceived conservatives/bigots getting their just desserts.
