Upon thinking this over for a bit, I decided that it's reasonable to assume Limitless Energy would cancel out Night Terrors, but picking 14 hours of sleep would make force you to sleep about 6 hours per night (8+6=14). So if you were to pick both drawbacks, you'd have 6 hours of nightmares on a nightly basis.

I owe my abilities to a being who was too forgetful to remember who owed it and an organization that was wiped out before seeing its plan come to fruition. Why can't my problems be simple, like getting a promotion and paying bills? If I know what it is I need to accomplish I can do really well...no. I'm not just really good, I'm the best. I could have any job or any amount of money I wanted just by making them let me have it. That's exactly why I don't do it. What's the point? That's why I have to keep playing the "what if" game with myself. Games that other people find challenging, like chess, are laughably easy because of my powers. How can you even play a game when your opponent is just as easily manipulated as...as...That's it, isn't it? I play chess.

After locating the layer that Devoe uses as a hideout, we start our final battle with me brawling the Prototype to a standstill, while my Clone and squad are fighting down Devoe in the background. When it comes to a magic system, do you prefer picking pre-made spells, or something more akin to picking proficiency in different schools of magic, letting your proficiency and imagination dictate what you can do?

Originally I had planned the former, and using your points to pick spells, but I ran into multiple problems. The two most important being it's too restrictive on the player (only 7 spells for each element, buffs, healing etc.) and it would be a massive piece of work for me.
The second system would instead be where you use points to unlock types of magic, e.g. Healing, Fire, Dark magic (still unsure how to structure it, how many to include).
0 points in a school of magic means 0 proficiency (can't ever learn this type), 1 being beginner (think making a small fire), 2 being proficient (think making fireballs that can be used for combat), 3 being advanced (think stuff like flamethrowers that leave magma or somesuch) and 4 being mastery (think raining fire).
That would leave more imagination for the player, and be much easier to make for me, but I'm not sure I would be able to protray what each tier can do - like how different your power is between tier 1 and 2. Also it seems really sad to have your ability be capped on day 1 (except your creativity can improve your skill since you can learn to chain combos), and never be able to ever learn new schools.

Is Diabolism somehow connected to Diabolic way of casting in Bloodmage. Does it somehow secretly indebts you and will that be the topic of how it fucked everyone again be the theme of the next CYOA?

Many CYOAs have it as implicit that the choices presented represent only your beginnings and later on, back-breakingly hard work and dedication can see you improve what you already know and even learn some new tricks. No reason you can't offer the same in your work. Also, just present the different levels of magical powers the way you did here with a few examples and an intro text detailing the limits of magic at every level.

It'll depend on how they fluff the magic anyway. Some ways of learning magic leave no possibility of being a omni-disciplinarian wizard, sometimes it just in the blood or in the soul. Also, barring immortals and/or lack of desire for practical applications, there is only a certain amount of things in life you can learn while still being capable of living your life and making use of what you learned.

What are some really annoying powers for enemies to have? Something that would leave them killable, yet also very irritating to deal with.

This one's interesting, but I think the author should have made it sound like the witch wasn't giving you any chance to back out because, realistically, I think most people would (especially after hearing that the nightmare, unbeaten, can eventually consume you or break into reality).

So, assuming the witch was "I'm gonna give you a nightmare and a waifu to balance it out. Choose or I choose for you" then I'd have this question for her: the Insectoid Housewife is said to help access locked away memories, granting greater understanding of the nightmare and some probability manipulation; does this apply to any nightmare and not just An Infested Memory?

If that was the case, I'd pick her and Labyrinthine Apartment.

If not, then I'd still pick that same nightmare but with the corresponding waifu (Obscure Landlord).

If the witch answered positively, I'd also ask out of curiosity if by doing so I'm inadvertently screwing over someone who's eventually going to have to pick An Infested Memory and not have a fitting guide for it (might not be the case, she's making the waifus so she might just be able to make another of the same type).

3: Planet of Symbiotes. Relatively simple to deal with. Fire and sonic booms. Between our flyers and the ship we can pretty well bring sonic booms wherever we choose. Our team of Guardians can serve as a specialist force and black-ops team for the Nova Corps, and I can assist Worldmind in maximizing resources and rebuilding the Corps. I'll still visit Earth every once in a while on recruiting drives or vacations, but mostly my time will be spent training Novas and running info-support for the Guardians and the Corps.

The idea: Four sides to a single entity with each side looking like a biped. the legs however are just arrayed around the body in four pairs combined in a circle.
Her 'head' is four faces, one facing each side. She can move in any of the four directions, diagonals are a slight bit harder.
Her legs are bent at the knee, and more like a spiders in terms of how she walks, despite this her fet can be pivoted on her ankles, so they always face forward. (A conciet to praticality.)

Each mission happened in its own timeline, one after another. Worlds created by the Temporal Spiral sorcery don't get erased or somehow disappear once the Loop is used, Our Solemn Hour mission mentions this. When the Inner Circle uses the sorcery, they get transported to the copy of the Earth as it was at the start of the Revelation, while the world they left behind continues going on without them.
First the Destroyer did his and became the First Sinner, but it changed very little, as the Eclipse just got their shit together and went through with the Loop, moving on to the next world. The Ark got their things and left at the same time too.
In the next timeline, the Dominion killed almost all leaders and important figures of other factions, did their coup, then the Enforcers picked up their stuff and left, but they overestimated the strength of the mundane military. While they won in the end, the Inner Circle of original timeline survived (mostly because no one knew about them) and then their ritual was hijacked by the Crown, who moved on to the next world along with the Inner Circle. They won in this timeline, but the Eclipse did the Loop again.
In the last timeline the Supremacy covenant managed to win, but it didn't matter for the Eclipse, since they finally got what they wanted and simply left.

The King is not lying, and Crown Vanguard's description is referring to the fact that they used Blood magic and resources of the Convention while in the Loop to learn their magic. Convention is not aware of what happened in the Loop (or that it even occured), so they still think that Crown is just supernatural monster hunters without any magic.

She cooperated with her past/alternate self to turn her into a demon (devil) to help research Diabolism. Losing her humanity is a pretty big sacrifice. With each new iteration of the Loop they got a little further, until they finally got what they needed. There will be more on Archdevil and Diabolism later, in another CYOA.

I cheated a bit and checked; looks like no spell has more than 10 mana. So ritualist it is. Versatility is most important. Not taking the red text though, denial is a cute fetish but failing to generate mana is too big of a problem.

A suggestion on this, you could add some special characteristics to casting style that decrease maximum mana by "tying it up" in passive benefits (buffs) and increase total mana by requiring new strictures or modifying your body in certain ways. That would allow you to put other magic at higher costs without making it impossible for some casting types.

Both levels of alter world. It's the god-spell, you can make anything just as you want it. It might take a few casts, but since you don't need to be near the target, it's fine with Ritual.
Immortality at the first level because I want it.
Normality at both levels. Hopefully I can cast it without the higher level for some rape now and again.
Transform at the first level for personal projects.
Charm at both levels, it's like a better form of enslave. Only downside is that there's no clear way to turn it off, but normalcy+ means that if nothing else, execution can be used as an emergency out if I accidentally create a dangerous yandere.
Double dose of timestop is going to be my final buy. Lets me do ten hours of work or rest with the world just waiting, and the second level lets me take anything I want and do things not only surreptitiously but totally unnoticed.

Also tempting, the memory one, but it would be redundant for me, and the toy one, simply because ramming buttplugs up people's asses untraceably seems like a good time. But I can use Alter World to make women wear buttplugs anyway.

I feel like this section would be better if there were a few more general purpose spells, not all sex. Not a lot, but maybe one row of them.

I could do without a lot of these, so I think mana gem, just so I have a bit more walking around mana.

Anyways. First priorities are casting immortality and using timestop+normalcy to help myself to a bit of wealth. Maybe use charm to pick a waifu or two from the general population. Use alter world to make polygyny more normal to women, and a sign of prestige rather than cause for jealousy. More alter world to make nopan normal and expected for girls that don't have gross infections to cover up. Make people more chill and more scientifically minded in general (not sexual). Make long term buttplug wear normal starting at a certain age, make skirts and dresses generally preferred over pants, and make them normal for guys while I'm at it. Get rid of social mores on public nudity, relax social requirements on shaving. Biologically, make human periods and pregnancy less onerous and more like most other mammals. Maybe get rid of clits for a while and see what happens. Lengthen people's limbs, but make people smaller so that we can stretch the Earth's resources further. Use Transform to make me and my own harem still big though, so that my line becomes giants. Well, this part I'm saving for when I'm old and my immortality starts standing out anyway, then I can become an immortal god-king.

I'll use Transform to grant people close to me a form of pseudo-immortality, and for pleasure with consenting partners.

I'll use time stop to think of witty banter on the spot, as well as finish menial tasks that I don't want to waste any real time on.

The Immortality spell is pretty self explanatory.

Finally, I'll bust out Alter World once I've created a fool-proof plan for utopia. Likely I'll start with subtle changes to the world's genetics so that future generations are less susceptible to disabilities/disease as well are more intelligent and social. Then I'll slowly shift society so that the world becomes some kind of futuristic society that is self-sustaining and not prone to depression cycles/falling rates of profit.
