Jumpchain is a different kind of CYOA, where instead of going to a single universe, you bounce between hundreds with the same character. It's more of a writing exercise for a lot of people, but a lot just use it as straight power fantasy. It takes all kinds and I'm not judging.

As for all the anons mad, the Jumpchain thread has a very persistent shitposter (or set of shitposters), who can be easily found out by those who browse the thread on a regular basis. But that's besides the point.

Hello there TowerGirls Thread. I am the Anon attempting to make a Jump for our own little game inspired by TowerGirls, because I rather enjoy both. I am here to ask if there are any serious objections to me doing this, as I do not with to offend anyone or upset people in any way.

I'm not sure how to explain it any clearer. You create a character to start with. Most people pick themselves or some other normal person. You go into a Jump, which is a CYOA with a little more writing to it, and pick up powers and items with points you are given.

Then you spend ten years there. Generally people write about their adventures during those ten years. Some people derail the story line of the world they go into, others just lounge around, still others perform horrifying science. Like I said, it's up to the writer and the story they want to tell.

After those ten years are up, you get teleported to a different world, granted a new set of points to buy more powers and items, and just keep going.

That's pretty close, yes. I'm basically designing an adventure similar to Towergirls, but in a format for our Jumpchain community can use. It would be far less lewd and more focused on the adventure and the rescuing. While I wouldn't mind including the lewdness, Jumpchain has specific rules that require me to tone it down noticeably.

The basic concept of a knight and princess setting is not unworkable, but towergirls itself is more than that at this point. Again, it's a waifu-thon where fetishes and sex are one of the biggest deals. That makes it incompatible. He'd need to have something more generic and tamer, with an actual explored setting, if he wanted a jump.

As explained multiple times. There's nothing to it but the waifus and their fetishes. That means that it's going up against the anti-lewd rules, because there is no other substance there. Look at Monster Musume. That one is less lewd than towergirls as it has no fetish lists and enchanted sex toys, but it's not allowed either, because all it is is the waifus and the male PC.

The issue is you think the rule is a matter of your tone in the CYOA. It's a matter of the setting itself.

Like the guy who made CoC, he tried to excise all the lewd from the doc. It didn't help because the setting itself is fueled by lewd.

When he made Monster Musume, it wasn't allowed either because there's no meat to the setting outside of the waifus, even if it had less outright porn.

Similarly, when someone tried to make Qwasar, he was told not to because, despite the setting HAVING substance to it, the powers were all innately tied to something lewd. This isn't happening here, but it shows you how the rule is applied.

The way you'd be shitting up the thread is by breaking rules, thus causing drama and arguing. Trying to be polite won't change the ultimate result here because it's an issue with your actions.

I'm partial to this reason.

Gen 1 was the original, and has its appeal set in stone. The cast is memorable and easy to work with.
Gen 2 adds on to what Gen 1 started, and also has a memorable cast. Not sure what the hell is up with the Assassin/Ninja split (split one good girl into two half-decent ones? Why?), but the chart remained interesting.
Gen 3 added a slew of humorous and interesting girls, especially one bovine that had a hilariously pointless shitpost spree for a while. Almost all of the cast, including the companion page, are great.
Gen 4 was a bit odd, but it had some great characters. The treasures not so much, but the girls and the possible classes help build possible personalities for the girls. Blacksmith Cyclops would potentially be different from her other class, for example.
Gen 5 felt a bit off, having armies and spells with nothing limiting the cart other than 8 slots. It was too much at once, honestly. Some great girls, but not as many as 4 and before.
Fan gen 1 was a great callback to the original gen, but some stand out more than others while some have sub-par designs. Still a great build onto the original theme.
Fan gen 2 had a hilarious cast of girls, and they all have their place and personality written out spectacularly. It felt like more of a joke gen, but it's still a welcome one.
Fan gen 3, while looking nice, just doesn't really have the same appeal. Some girls are great, such as Rat and Cave, and the "Dragon" is memorable, but there's a few who are just too plain or cater too specifically to one fetish. Some are just plain odd, like Homunculus and Fudge, while several fill a very similar role with minor differences.

Apologies if it sounds like I'm being rude, as that's not how I'm intending this all to sound. I do respect everyone who worked on them, but Gen 4, 5, and Exp 3 just feel less appealing compared to the rest.

Just a personal thing, but the fact that she's a female Frankenstein just doesn't appeal to me. That, and the hairstyle; reminds me of Sombra and other similar characters with that half-shaved look. Whenever I see that, I can't help but think "Either have hair or shave it all, god dammit".

Honestly it comes off to me as just personal opinion, people love some and people hate some

theres more then a few gals I very much dislike in the original gens, but with the main difference being that their far more generalized personalities

I think there are enough good girls to fill up the four slots of a cart easily.

Radiant, Tiki, Wisp, Fudge, but I could easily swap some slots depending on my preference for the day.

I want a naked version of Radiant Princess where she is pale under her armor giving her nice tan lines.

Yep. And I just caught up with the thread. And this is where I start a shitstorm. Cause I refuse to remove Gemini from Gen3Exp. Now, before you crucify me, at least listen to my reasoning.

At the beginning, Gemini was designed for Gen 5 as a replacement trap when we were initially told not to put Cactus as such. Then when we got permission for Cactus, there was such a strong disagreement that we had several threads of debate and argument and voting. At the end of it all, the group came to a compromise that Cactus would be Gen 5 and Gemini would be Gen3Exp.

Since then, Eversor and Brumus have disagreed with me heavily, with arguments and yelling at each other over voice chat. Eversor contends that it is impossible to draw a good design for her, and refuses to try. Thus he creates a vicious cycle where he hates the art, won't update it, but keeps coming back to the fact he hates it as a reason for her removal. He has stated to me that he will not continue drawing princesses for the project for free if she remains.

These two points are why I stand firm that she shouldn't be removed. On the first, the thread came to agreement and one half of the agreement was fulfilled. Now it is time for the other half to be filled. On the second point, I refuse to allow Eversor's mentality that "I have done a lot for this project. Don't I get to decide just one princess?" to allow him to strongarm the project whenever he disagrees with a princess. The community chose to keep her before it devolved into this situation where our resident artists refuse to work on her, citing her terrible art as reason to dislike her.

I like this Cave Princess that has been devised, but I think it is a terrible disservice to the community to remove Gemini.
