Why make up rules needing one d20 when you can use 4 d6 (minimum 4, maximum 24)
>>51519439
maybe bell curves aren't your thing
>wanting to role 4 dice instead of just one
I mean you could easily just do that I guess but you're just making yourself do more work.
4-24 is 21 numbers

Dno man, rolling quadruple ones or quadruple six sounds more dramatic to me than having a one or twenty, and its overall more fun, and it's more flexible (how many ones, how many fours, etc.)
>>51519572
I'd agree with you but as >>51519556 pointed out, the pool is 21 numbers.
>>51519439
Probability of rolls is skewed towards the center of the range, like how on 2d6 a 7 is the most likely result
>>51519439
This is why.
>>51519439
how about we just use different mechanics for different games, different settings, different tones and styles of play? Everyone gets to play what he likes in the flavor he likes?
>>51519439
why use multiple D6s, when you can sue proprietary dice?
results are always tailor made for the system
