I have a very peculiar request: the collected campaign for "Die sieben Gezeichneten" (The seven marked) or also called the "Borbaradkampagne" (Borbarad campaign) for the German RPG "Das Schwarze Auge" (The Dark Eye).
It's out of print, the publisher doesn't sell it as PDFs and the single books can cost up to 150€ used.

This collection is also missing the small supplement Journeys & Maps, when I can afford to get that one maybe next week I'll post it somewhere.

Conan books are out, as is the final book of Blades in The Dark, and the Delta Green Case Officer's book is in an "anyday now" sort of situation.

The only guides I have gotten have been in off-board convo's with the cleaners. Linux seems to be preffered. The other programs are Win 7 compatible only. I have been unable to get them to work in 10. I doubt you will ever see a step-guide howzto posted publicly for obvious reasons. Honestly, MF seem remarkably lenient when it comes to PDFs. You get a decent warning before they slap you down. The only time I has an account shutdown was because I uploaded a video clip from a movie. So PDFs seem to be fine, although stuff like Pathfinder, or FFG titles, appear relatively high risk. For that reason I no longer keep my eggs in one basket, and have everything spread across several accounts, so if by bad luck one does go down I haven't lost everything.

Does anyone have the N.E.W. and O.L.D. books?

I think the design is elegant. It takes time to even get how the system works, but once you get it, the wheels start turning and it becomes kind of intuitive.

Imagine a kung-fu movie that goes into extreme slow-motion at times, until continuing at full speed for a while again.

The basic combat system is definitely one of the most innovative ones I've seen in years... The only way to make it better would be if the numbers could be cracked down on.

Hell, I personally hate crunchy games, but LotW just flows so very differently than most, with the number-combination minigame going on at all times and being this weird blend of narrative game and a crunchy one.

All in all, it's something different, in a good way.

The book is still terrible. Finding the information you need from it is difficult at best, nigh impossible at worst.

Even the character sheet itself is a goddamn abomination. The lines are uneven and several parts are basically put together in way that makes it impossible to change them (in acrobat) without breaking the entire sheet. It's build like a late-game Jenga tower.

Eos Press seriously needs some people with editing skills.

Well, Harpoon has scalable simulation rules that let you basically go from RPG-level command of a single ship all the way up to a world war. I've taken part in a few official exercises (I once wiped out the US Sixth Fleet with the Israeli and Italian navies..) and it's a pretty easy system as long as you keep a clipboard with the relevant notes/rules/tables handy. It's easier with a referee and a few computers but compared to, say, Star Fleet Battles, it's a a fucking cakewalk. A little more complex than Battletech in the movement phase, but tracking damage and crits on individual units is simpler.

Seriously. Read the rules a couple times. Print off the shit you can't remember and highlight the critical passages. Keep all your ship files in one place and use sticky-tabs on the side of the rulebook copies to keep track of any special equipment you might have on your boats. Memorize your goddamn sensor ranges and write that shit at the top of every ship page.

If you do it right, you can sim a couple months of warfare in six hours. You do it wrong and you're literally running at one hour of realtime for every five minutes of engagement.
...If you're looking for a more beer-and-pretz naval wargame that still goes a good job of simming engagements, Naval War is a) free and b) fun even if it's c) stuck in WWII.

Try a different PDF viewer, it doesn't work on my Mac with Preview, but it works fine using Acrobat.
