My ref/inspo folder is severely lacking in the guns department
Could we have a thread about futuristic and fantasy guns?
High fantasy guns I mean
Magic and shit
Futuristic fantasy like magitech shit is also welcome
i'm trying to post what i have to start the thread but i'm already running out
I think this is all I got
>>51460045
i found some more!
I could post some stuff.
Any requests?
It's my opinion that older French designs look good for fantasy.

I hope they have more guns and weapons that deal with the Cabal in general as most of the weapons in the first game primarily focus on vex, HIve, Fallen which makes sense considering the major raids have primarily delt with those three.

Well,
1) It's clearly a fucking pistol.
so
2) That's not a stock
and
3) That's clearly a fucking pistol, man. Like a used in one hand and not braced against the shoulder pistol
>>51470461
I don't see it. Looks like a blunderbuss to me.
>>51470472
That's because you're retarded.
>>51470472
Look at the size of that trigger and lock, compare the proportions to the part you would grip, and look at the proportions of said grip itself.
Think.
That's a pistol.

Dude, /tg/ isn't that fast of a board, you don't need to bump shit until it hits page 9 at the earliest.
Tanegashima were pretty stylish in my opinion
Monster Hunter bowguns have a ton of cool designs too
Especially when they combine kinda anime-ish fantasy conventions with just straight up machineguns

Multi-caliber rifles are more of a german thing IIRC, and 8mm mauser definitely is

>>51465137

it's actually probably a dueling pistol. There was some shit going on for a while there where it was legal to use a lantern in a night-duel (so you could blind your opponent) and apparently things got really out of hand
>>51469210
I'm not sure I understand it... you're disposing the barrel? for what purpose?

Eh, for "airbust explosive bullets" that's not a terrible translation, is it?
>>51465852
that's some darkwatch looking shit right there.
>>51474604
Disposable one shot barrel. Self defense gun I guess. Think consumer dystopian society.
>>51468902
Why would you want to shoot someone with a rubber bullet and an incendiary bullet at the same time?
>>51475553
But... why? Why not make two barrels?
>>51475590
>Eh, for "airbust explosive bullets" that's not a terrible translation, is it?
It kinda is. That would be "paзpывныe пyли вoздyшнoгo пoдpывa". Or if it's "airbust explosive rounds" it would be "paзpывныe cнapяды вoздyшнoгo пoдpывa". The weapon itself, if it existed today, would probably be called "винтoвкa-гpaнaтoмёт cнapядoв вoздyшнoгo пoдpывa", though in the future I think they'd invent a more convenient name in Russian.
>>51474307
Those particular ones are more gun-like in appearance but there are plenty of others that are like gun/crossbow hybrids

plasticstorm may be in reference to metalstorm, which was essentially a tube (or a bunch of them) of stacked, electronically-triggered cartridges

they don't even have that, New Vegas kind of outshone them in that regard.
>>51470198
So is Lastimosa a common name or was he related to the company somehow?
>>51465780
strictly speaking a peppermill gun is one that's hand cranked like early machine guns, pepperBOX guns fire all their barrels simultaneously, like someone sneezing after taking some snuff from a pepperbox.

Reloading? lol, what's that?
>>51468772
THis is a good dwarfy gun. I like it. I love settings where dwarfs are into the gunpowder age well and before most others. I like to think that they keep the secrets of gunpowder to themselves, and use it to make their fortresses neigh on impregnable. They avoid giving any surface based dwarves any Gunpowder gear, prefering to use crossbows for caravan guards and stuff.
In this case, they let out some sort of secret in the past, and got kicked in the ass by gobbos or humans for it and are now very very leery of any of Their technology being used against them ever again.
pic sorta related to both my post and OP's request.
>>51494601
You glorious bastard. That is the coolest dumb thing I've seen all day.
>>51494589
>>51494601

Did they just strap a gun on a crossbow?
That sounds completely unnecessary.
>>51495340
Anne Jagielo wanted to imply that now that she's wed to Ferdinand a completely unnecessary barrel is added to her perfectly fine bow.

>>51460045
I love that style of grip on pistols.
>>51497742
I really like the look aswell, but is it practical though?
I have no experience with guns and all my knowledge comes from movies and video games, does that type of grip offer any advantages against those kinds of grip that pistols have where the "turn" is sharper.
>>51499079
Well i suppose the advantage comes from how the recoil is handled. With a sharper grip you can put both hands on the handle wich helps extensively with the recoil since the energy transfers into both hands.
With a grip like this you would ideally stretch your arm and curve it a bit for the energy of the recoil to go trough your arm and it takes the most amount of time possible so it looses strength before reaching your shoulder.
People with a stronger shoulder could more effectively use the second one and possibly wield a second gun or something else or draw and fire more quickly.
>>51499079
The main problem is that you can't really put a magazine in the grip with that "flintlock style" grip curve.
>>51499079
It's ergonomic and facilitates a more aggressive stance (which is good with firearms) but it's essentially impossible to feed a magazine from that handle, which is poor on a handgun since you want it to be easily carried.
>>51477399
Thank you for posting this. It helps a lot.
>>51465852
Fuck that looks rad. Would that actually be practical though? I'd imagine even with how thick the wooden portion is, you'd still end up bending the barrel if you swung hard enough.
>>51505261
I really don't think you could diminish the accuracy of a six inch smooth-bore barrel all that much. Besides, it's probably intended for firing at someone less than 10 yards away during a boarding action.
>>51460228
>venting downward onto where the second hand would go
NOPE
