It's simple. You travel through the four provinces and exploring ruins and dungeons in search of three keys. Instead of a hero, you're leading a little army, and you have to keep track of gold, food, and soldiers. Plus there are other things, like wizards, dragons, pegasi, and magic swords. When you have the keys you can assault the tower in the middle.

The tower is there because it keeps track of the combat, random encounters, things you can buy in the shops, and so on.

Sounds like a neat game. I miss those old school board games. There still hasn't been a single dungeon-cralwing board game to surpass Hero Quest and Warhammer Quest.
