I usually resolve this by putting the campaign on hold, running a few one-shots of systems my group saw and want to try, then coming back to it. Usually helps

You're spending too long on prep, anon. Get a rough sketch set up and then run that thing. Let the rubber hit the road before you've had it in the oven too long, and let the cards fall where they may.
