That depends on what faction he plays, and how self aware they are. For instance would the nids behave like nids, or like Rex would they act more like humans who happen to be inhabiting the shape of an animal. Would the space marine think he really was a marine like buzz had, or would he know he was a toy? The minus would be smaller than them in any case, so even if they were raving loonies woody and co should be alright. Unless he had some knights or something. Those are big enough that they would have to worry.

Here's the only way it would EVER be portrayed if it somehow made it onto TV.

>Every Friday, Bonnie's dad (or mom) invites his/her friends over to the basement to play 40k- they use the toys as proxies if they don't have the cash or time to buy and paint models.
>Cut to "imagination sequence" where Buzz, an Imperial Knight proxy, powerfists Rex the Tyranid into Hamm the Maulerfiend, exploding the two, as the Gorkanaut Mr. Potato Head turns around, Orks pouring out of his buttflap, screaming "WAAAAGH" as the players all laugh at the absurdity.
>Meanwhile, Bullseye, Woody, and Jessie are sitting in the toybox, too floppy to position on the tabletop, with Mrs. Potato Head narrating the action when her eye is used as an objective marker.
>After the guys leave, the 40k figures decide to get to know the proxies a bit better.
>Abaddon tries to go for a handshake, but is mildly annoyed when Buzz accidentally snaps his arm off.

I think that the toys are given the personalities of the perceptions of people who play with them. All the toys in Bonnie's room have their personalities because of their individual experiences and the experiences they're given when being played with. Being a toy is exactly that- you're someone's plaything and that's your existence.

I imagine that the minis would be very tactical because of that. Maybe Bonnie's dad gives personalities and such to his 40k minis. Let's assume that he has a couple of 2k point factions, since he's an avid player.

When minis get broken, the rest of the minis retreat and remake the broken minis. They're in constant, unrivaled war with each other until Woody explains that they're toys.

WP is mostly "Wat if batman and the devil teamed up and OMG U R THE TIME TRAVELER" however there was one ages ago about a bunch of school kids writing letters to the marine corps and they accidentally ended up getting sent to the space marines (the prompt was to write the replies) which was pretty funny.
