I know that feel anon. My parents had my cat euthanized one day while I was away and didn't tell me til after I came back. I mean he needed it - he was over twenty years old and could barely walk anymore - but the fact that they went behind my back to do it still makes me resent them. I just wanted to be there for him one last time, like he was always there for me.

The vet apparently took a clay imprint of his paw and gave it to my parents for me to keep but I don't even think they took it from the right cat. Mine had nine toes on his front paws and the one they gave me only had the standard five toeprints in it.
